Adult pregnant by minor, Statutory Rape?
I have a question. My adult niece which is 19yrs old has gotten pregnant by a 17yr old male which will turn 18 in February 2011. Niece stays over to his house with his mom, and to me this is so out of order. Niece also gets SSI, and the family over there does not like her. Here is the 2nd ugly. $677 today and gone the next. Niece is (to me) looks as if she's paying this young boy. She's in and out of mental hospitals, not taking her meds. What legally can I do against this boys parent?
I know this is statutory rape, but why is she consenting to her son sleeping with a grown woman under her roof? There has got to be something that I can do. And niece has the nerve to tell me that I need to meet his mom, and get to know him.
I looked at her and told her bluntly, "I don't have to meet him or his mom. I want nothing to do with them, simply because this is immoral. What can be done at this point. Niece is 4 months pregnant.

18 AnswersOther - Entertainment1 decade agoChapter 7 Bankruptcy?
I filed chapter 7, back in April...At least thats when I gave the attorney the retaining fee. Upon my next visit to his office, I paid the filing fee of $295 for initial papers. This was a time sensitive issue because there were garnishments attempting to take place within a matter of weeks. Attorney dragged his feet, and the filing was delayed 30 days after I paid for all services to be rendered to me. By this time, the garnishment had begun to take place. Being paid bi-weekly, this company has taken over $800 from me in the course of 8 weeks.
They are supposedly allowed to keep $600. Problem is, they have refuned $210 to my attorney, and my case has went before court June 10, 2009. The attorney is delaying refunding my money to me, telling me that he has to wait to see what the trustee wants to do with the money. I've personally talked with the trustee, and he told me he has NO interest in those funds. I relayed this information to my attorney, and he still tells me that he has to talk with the trustee.
I'm really pissed at this point, and I'm considering lodging a complaint against him because had he filed the papers in a timely manner, the garnishments wouldn't have never occurred. Secondly, if the trustee has no interest in the funds, then why is he hanging on to them.
Worst yet, the attorney called me into his office July 11 to get matters taken care of. The only thing I did in his office was watch him go through my file, and he made copies and put them in an envelope while I watched.
I signed no documents that day or anything, but I did get ot view my check from afar. Am I supposed to wait until the case it totally closed before getting my money back or should I file a complaint with the Milwaukee Bar association.?
Law & Ethics1 decade agoHospital Err, Child on the loose w/o Mental health Meds?
My child 17 has bipolar, PSD and has went to the ER room 1/29 complaining of stomach pains. Hospital never did extensive test, "as I've been told because there is no bleeding, but what they have done was told my child she is pregnant. They gave her prenatal 19 tabs, and worst yet...In the ER room she was seen by cardiologist.
Hospital has not called me for consent to treat. My child is on the Depo shot and has been off Seroquil since being informed she was pregnant. I'm trying to convince child that she needs to get her Depo that is due 2/11 and she's not trying to hear it. She honestly believes she's pregnant and I know that if she finds out she's not, she'll start self harm. I just don't know what to do at this point.
I've called Hospital and complained and they were supposed to get back with me as soon as they investigate. In the meantime, my child is so unstable without her meds, and having a tendency to get irrationally violent. She's also on Lithium. This is her long time desire and that to get pregnant. Depo shot is current, and has been for the last couple years.
2 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoI have a well written non fiction novel, and trying to find a publisher. ?
My novel is non fiction, and I'm having a problem finding publishers that will take it on without cost. And I guess I'm not understanding the publishing business? If your novel is good enough for tv, and will eventually be on television then why should I have to pay for having it published? I should change the word from good to excellent. I was under the impression that I write a story, publisher takes it and publishes it, I get royalty of sales and it hits the big pic. Can someone help me with how it really works?
5 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoHow do I get a class action lawsuit started against MPS?
My child has mental health issues and has been passed from grade to grade in MPS. She's also 17yrs old, and academically that of 2nd grade. MPS failed to educate my child or provide services for her. Instead, they kept suspending her all during her high school years.
Currently she's facing CO hearing on Tuesday for possession of marijuana on school property. She signed a coded of conduct, but she can't read.
We have educational facilities here in Milwaukee Wi that were able to teach her, and that would have been sending her to kradwell school. But MPS did not. They felt they could teach her, and now she's almost 18, and on the 2nd grade level.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoCan I sue, Circuit Court Judge, and Probation Officer?
Problem goes back many years of dealing with my minor. Problems in school, and learning difficulties that landed her in trouble with legal issues. She was placed on 1yr probation that lasted up to now, 3yrs. She'll be 18 in April.
She has been threatened by the Judge that if she don't get it together, he will put her away possibly in southern oaks, or Juvenile Detention. His words were, if she goes awol, don't go to school, and don't follow house rules he'll deal with her by giving her 10days here, 10 days there, and maybe 120 days in juvie.
She was released from Juvenile detention on 11/26/08 and her first night home, returned home at 4am. I notified her probation officer, and they are trying to back off this kid because she is almost 18. I'm telling them almost is not there yet, and she is 17yrs old.
The judge is not following thru on his words, and I feel you can't make statements in a court of law and not stand by those words. Thus far, he is not backing up his words, and probation officer is dragging her feet in putting out a capias when I inform her that my child has violated terms of probation and court orders.
My child, has mental issues and uses drugs while out in the street. Locking her away takes her from us, but it keeps her safe and out of the hands of sicko's out here that is taking advantage of her.
She gives up her nice clothing, lets individuals use her cell phone, wear her coat, and in turn---what else are they doing to her? I worry constantly because she is out in the streets.
I feel they are dropping the ball because they say she's almost 18. This to me is an excuse to not do their job. She's not 18 yet. And they know she has a mental illness. What can I do?
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoIs it ok for a woman to go without panties?
I'm a female that does not wear panties with slacks. I don't wear jeans however, but just spandex type of pants. I told my co-worker about this and she said it was gross. I dont' see anything wrong with it. I would wear panties with a dress however, but not pants. I'm not discharging in my clothes, and it feels quite comfortable without. So whats gross about it?
15 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoColorectal Cancer?
I've been plagued with Rectal bleeding over 1 month. Finally got up the nerve to go see doc, and he scheduled me for colonoscopy. Won't know result of that until 11/14. Who wants to wait that long? My hair is growing like crazy, and I've lost 20lbs since 3/2007.
Are there any other physical symptoms associated with colon cancer? There are no changes in bowel habits. Do I have reason to worry?
6 AnswersCancer1 decade agoIs it infatuation or lust?
There is a co-worker that has taken me out to breakfast 2x, and has given me a computer, went out an bought meds for me. He has live in girlfriend and she is not very happy with me. This guy loves it when I flirt with him, but nothing will ever come of our working relationship. He hasn't asked, but maybe he's afraid or don't know how to ask. Not a worst case scenario but I'm older than he. Am I leading him on?
21 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoCan a Residential Treatment Center Deny Treatment?
I live here in WI, and my child is in need of RTC. She's currently misdiagnosed with bipolar, and is using substance, or substance abuse. There is a RTC that will address all of her needs and get her on track to a healthy lifestyle, but they say that they don't feel their program would benefit my child. This RTC boasts, intense therapy in all aspects of their care, but they have referred me to out of state in Illinois, and MN.
The facility in MN has referred me to South Dakota to send my child. How can I actively participate in my childs recovery if she is in Illinois or South Dakota?
I have adequate insurance to cover cost of RTC, but seems like the facility don't want to take a chance on my insurance. Insurance has informed them that there is no limited bed stay, and my only cost is $250 for deductible.
I feel that my child is being discriminated against in some form or or another, and why can't she be treated in her home state? I'm having a big problem with this.
4 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoIs there a boot camp for girls here in Wisconsin?
I have a teen, totally out of control and faces certain death on the streets. She's promixicous, not taking her meds for mood disorder, and boot camp is the only way. I need one here close to milwaukee, or within driving distance of Wisconsin.
6 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoCamping Grants?
Where in Wisconsin, could I apply for a grant for summer camp for my teen? She will be 16, and I've applied for a grant with the agency that she will be attending, but they've only allowed funding for 1 program. Because Milwaukee has practically turned into a warground, with talk of getting National Guards here, I'd think it best she camp all summer long because she is prone to be a victim out here with associations. I could go on and Bash Milwaukee, but it accomplishes nothing.
Milwaukee has managed to eliminate a lot of programs here for teens, thereby leaving very little for them to do in the summer months but hang out. We all know this causes problems in itself, and the fact that the law is lenient on them because they "are minors". Skating rinks are minimal, Drive-in has disappeared, Summer Jobs? Wow.
If we had a teen club focused with the old Ice Cream parlor theme, and non sexual music, and non violent music, with security and structure, we could see improvemnent

4 AnswersMental Health1 decade ago15yr teen involved with drugs and alcohol. On probation, and Probation officer not returning my calls?
Hearing coming up 2/6, and child has been stoned, and drunk the last month now. She has not been taking her meds for bipolar, and on awol status. NO ONE is helping me. She comes home this morning at 5am and theres dried blood on her jacket. She's not bruised, but she's ran into a problem with some form of addiction. I'm in milwaukee, and if I call police to clear missing persons report, they just ask the formal, were you involved in a crime, were you assaulted, etc. (she'll lie) But she's in need of protective services because the drugs are going to kill her. I can't arrest her because I don't have a ground to keep her detained. What can I do? I've sent letter to judge, Probation and WrapAround, and no one can do anything. No one is calling me. I don't want to hear I'm sorry in the end, but I feel its coming to this if nothing is done. Any answers out here? Hurry
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoIs it appropriate to send Court Judge a letter regarding his decisions?
Judge wants to send my teen with Conduct disorder to Residential treatment center 300 miles away from my home. He plans on his decision next month. I found a Residential center that my insurance will pay 100%, and 38 miles away. Would it be appropriate to send Judge a letter informing him that I've decided to place her in a different RTC than what he may order? My child is in serious need of treatment, and her placement could occur 5 days before his decision. I'm not wanting to step on his toes per say, but his idea of RTC will not allow for my participation in her recovery due to distance. I'm putting in urgent calls to her probation officer, and she's not returning my calls. But in court she tells the Judge that my child is high on her list. But she's not high enough when I place urgent callls for her to return my call. I'm not indigent, and I don't need the state to pay for the mental health of my child. What should I do? Am I wrong for overstepping his choice?
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoare there videos of individuals or Teens with Bipolar?
My teen as a child was diagnosed with ADD, attention deficit disorder. Problems in school galore and now she's 15 and the doctors are treating her for Bipolar. She's defiant, she lies, and stays out all night, has been incarcerated for 30+ days for her Awol behavior and has started it up again after being released. I'm now questioning her medical diagnosis, and I'm seeing more of a defiant teenager that thinks her friends are friends. I'm wondering if theres a video out there that can give me some kind of idea on a teenager behaves with bipolar. Granted each indivdiual is different, but there has to be some similarities somewhere.
