We live in an apartment and one of the tenants(maybe more than one) has a roach problem and won't get it taken care of so their roaches are welcoming themselves into our unit! Grrr. We have a 3 year old daughter and a baby boy due in January so we are going to ask the owner to have our unit fogged before January so we don't have to bring our newborn into a home with bugs! But we don't want to have to get fogged constantly so we are wondering if these riddex things actually work? Here is a link...

My baby shower is this weekend and my friends are all bringing their kids so I want to make them little party bags so they have little things to play with during the shower and aren't bored. I've got kids coming from age 2 1/2 weeks to 8 years old. The kids that are from 2 years to 8 years are not hard, I can handle toys for them. But what about the babies under age 2? What can I put in their bags? Here is a list of the kids with their ages and genders to make it easier for you to help me...

2 1/2 week old girl

4-5 month old boy

7 month old girl

11 month old twin girls

When our daughter was a little over 2 1/2 years old my husband and I read that there were cancer causing agents being used in the Johnson & Johnson products we were bathing her with so we stopped using them and started buying her kid-friendly shampoo and body wash instead(such as Loreal Kids). Anyway, we are due to have our son in January and I am just wondering if that is still an issue? And if it is still an issue what bath products would you recommend for our infant son? Is Baby Magic good? Any other recommendations? Thanks!

When our daughter was an infant we had a Graco Alano travel system for her and we bought an extra base for my husbands car so we wouldn't have to transfer the base back and forth between cars. We are pregnant and due to have our son in January and I was looking at another travel system for him. I was wondering if we will need to buy another base for my husbands car or if we can just use the one we have already that we used with our daughter? She's 3 now if it matters how old the base is... Thanks for any help and info!

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and I have this annoying scratchy throat which causes me to cough a lot. I don't feel sick at all, it's just this darn cough and throat thing that popped up out of nowhere(possibly from allergies?) Anyway, besides hot soup and herbal tea, is there anything else that might help? Sucking on mints, maybe? I NEVER got sick when I was pregnant with my daughter, this pregnancy is VERY different already, fatigue is overwhelming!! I felt fine with my daughter...anyway, enough of my rambling, any help is appreciated :)

We are going to Hawaii in 8 days and I just want some advice because our daughter has never traveled by plane. She's almost 3. The flight is only 6 hours non-stop and I'm really not TOO worried about that because she is a pretty well-behaved kid and we plan on bringing the portable DVD player and a few toys(any other tips are welcome). I know food and drinks are not allowed but 6 hours without a snack might be a problem...will they be ok with me bringing a bag of animal crackers and a juice box for her? Also, am I not allowed to pack extra snacks and such for when we get to the hotel? Or do I have to just buy those things when we arrive in Hawaii? If a person has a house party and everyone who is drinking is of age(21 or older)...if one of the people at the party leaves drunk and something happens (they get pulled over, in an accident etc.) is the owner of the house they were drinking at responsible? In other words, would the owner of the house get in trouble for "allowing" someone to leave their house drunk even though the person is an adult of legal drinking age?

But the ink has run out on 2 of the 3 markers that came with it so we want to purchase more for her. The markers that came with the table didn't have a strong scent at all and we want to get her some similar ones. We bought some Expo brand ones with "low odor ink" but it still seems like a pretty strong scent to me. We just don't feel comfortable letting our daughter play with strong scented markers...does anyone know where we can buy non-toxic, odorless dry erase markers safe for toddlers?

Just looking for some input/ideas for my daughters Easter basket, she just turned 2 this past Wednesday. I already have a few things...

-2 Disney Movies(Pinocchio and Tangled)

-A baby doll bottle to feed her dolls

-2 Mickey Mouse coloring books

-Crayons

What else can I put in her basket? Besides candy, I've got candy covered and I have little plastic Mickey Mouse containers instead of the traditional plastic eggs cause she loves Mickey. I don't want to put in a stuffed animal cause she has tons of stuffed animals, including the entire Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang(all 18 inch).

I would, however, like to buy her another baby doll...any ideas on a good Easter basket baby doll? And any other ideas welcome and appreciated! Thanks so much!

I also recently bought 5 different Disney Movies, 4 coloring books, and a doll sized baby bottle cause she likes to feed her baby dolls. I don't know if I should put all 5 movies in her Easter basket or if I should break them up and put a few in her basket and give her a couple for her bday? I called City Hall and it turns out they don't perform marriage ceremonies anymore so the lady gave me the phone number for the County Registrar Recorders Office and I listened to a recording that answered SOME of my questions but not all of them. I know a marriage license is $90 and is valid for 90 days. I also know that you must obtain a marriage license before being able to make an appointment for a marriage ceremony. The recording also stated that the couple getting married must have at least one witness and the fee for the ceremony is $25. My questions are... is there a maximum number of people you can have at the ceremony? Are children allowed...say like a 3 year old and a 5 year old? And does the couple need to find their own Minister/Priest/Judge/Officiant or is one included in the $25 price? Can anyone please answer these questions for me and any additional information is also much appreciated! Thanks so much!
