3 AnswersPolls & Surveys4 years agoHow do I get over being angry at my brother for dying?
My brother died from alcoholism. He was 56. This is the second sibling I have lost in my life. I also lost a sister in 1978. Thing is, my brother came back from the brink of extreme alcohol poisoning (he was in the hospital for three months). His mind was gone from toxic levels of ammonia due to his excessive drinking. We were feeding him, changing him etc. He came back from that. I like to think we, as a family, "loved" him back. He was a changed man. He loved us so much for not giving up on him and expressed it freely. He was a miracle. That lasted about six months. For some reason, he thought he was invincible and decided he could drink again. He died two years ago. Since then, both of my parents health has declined so rapidly they are merely "existing" now. My mom is 80 and my father is 82. Both my sister and I (we're the siblings left with this "mess" he left), are recovering alcoholics. I have been sober for three years. While I understand alcoholism completely, I find myself so angry at him for dying so needlessly and, in turn, slowly killing our parents. I do plan on seeking counseling as I know the destructiveness of unresolved anger. In the meantime, however, I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what they did to resolve it? Thanks in advance..

9 AnswersEnvironment1 decade agoWhat do seagulls eat in Northern Canada when the ice is still in?
Please don't answer *garbage*. Seagulls have been here long before humans made garbage, so what do they eat when they come back to Northern Canada and things are still froze up? Since there are no bugs, worms, minnows, etc for them to eat yet, how do they live?
It's just something my kids and I were wondering. Thanks all.
2 AnswersZoology1 decade agoHave any other parents out there had this problem? My daughter is with a verbally abusive boyfriend!?
My girl is 18 and has been with this "guy" who is the same age as her. He gets mad at her for wanting to spend time with her own family! for goodness sakes and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Last week he freaked out when they were in school calling her every name in the book, then very dramatically falling to his knees and sobbing for her forgiveness!! I'm trying not to get mad as I don't want her to stop talking to me, but it's driving me crazy!
PLEASE? Any advice?
7 AnswersFamily1 decade agoSo, how does this punishment sit with the rest of yous? I think it's disgusting!?
I found this little tidbit in Yahoo! News. I thought I was going to be sick!
FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - A U.S. soldier was sentenced to 100 years in prison Thursday for the gang rape and murder of an Iraqi girl and the killing of her family last year.
"Sgt. Paul Cortez, 24, also was given a dishonourable discharge. He will be eligible for parole in 10 years under the terms of his plea agreement" - BIG WHOOP!
This American soldier was in a position of authority when he took part in a brutal gang rape against an innocent 14 year old girl and then had a hand in murdering this girls family and he's going to be eligible for parole in 10 YEARS??? What the heck is wrong with this countries judicial system!!
