Can anyone tell me the song played on The One Show last night 24:20 in during the Charlie Williams piece?
If in the UK you can hear it on the iPlayer and fast forward to the right point: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00wchb4/The_...
2 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoAre Australians in the UK more prone to colds and flu than the locals?
I've been living in the UK for some years now and I seem to get a lot of minor bugs. I don't think I'm a hypochondriac or anything, and it definitely seems like I get more colds here than when I used to live in Oz.
4 AnswersInfectious Diseases1 decade agoWhat would be a good green vegetable to serve with lamb shanks in a rich red wine sauce?
Ideally something fresh and seasonal (UK), and maybe a little bit different. The other veg I'm doing is Canarian potatoes.

3 AnswersCorporations1 decade agoRight, I'm going to find it this time - what do you think is the best cover version ever?
Right now I'm torn between Hendrix's 'All Along The Watchtower' and Cake's 'I will Survive'.

11 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoWhat's that Latin song I've been hearing a lot lately? I think it was sampled a while back by a rapper.
There's a bit of Spanish singing, then a chorus of "oh ... ah ee ah ah oh" or something. I think the first word of the verse is 'Los'. Not much info I know, sorry.
2 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoOur 3 month old daughter doesn't like breast milk from a bottle, which makes it hard for my wife. Any tips?
In a month or two she'll probably be ready for some solid food, which will help, but for now it's all just breast-feeding, and trying to give her expressed milk in a bottle is a massive struggle and draining for all concerned. Has anyone got any tips on this? Is just a case of "when she's hungry enough, she'll take the bottle"?
18 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoShould Britain act against Sudan in some way?
A British teacher - there to try and help the disenfranchised in the country - has been sentenced to prison for naming a bear Muhammed.
Is it just me, or is inactivity inexcusably weak at this juncture?
22 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoHow do I sue HM Revenue and Customs for their recent blunder? Can we form a class action?
I am currently upset and fretting about the exposure of my details, and the government is responsible for my state of unease. Like any other entity, they should be sanctioned for this. Outside the polling booth, how can this be achieved? Can we form a class action to sue? Can someone with the time and the technical nouse form an e-petition or website to this end?
17 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoI would like to drink less but find it hard. It doesn't cost me in my life other than financially. Ideas?
I don't get drunk or obnoxious and it doesn't upset my wife, but I have more than the recommended amount, and I have expensive tastes (fine ales, single malts, vintage ciders). I would like to drink less but seem to just be in a rut with it or something.
9 AnswersOther - General Health Care1 decade agoIs there something wrong with the US Presidency? Since the 70s, a thief, an adulterer, an invading despot ...
Is there something actually wrong with the whole process? Is it a case of "All power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely"? If so, why are the problems not so common in any other powerful country?

33 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoThe Sheila's wheels ad - would something like that be ok if it was, for example, a black or Indian stereotype?
As an Australian living in the UK the ad doesn't bother me at all, but it did pop in my head the other day that there may be some kind of double standard going on. Are some cultures ok to portray cliched stereotypes of and some not? Isn't that very idea racist/prejudiced in itself? So where is the outcry over the Sheila's Wheels ads?
Let me reiterate that the ad doesn't bother me - I'm just interested in whether I'm onto something hinting that the whole PC thing is actually discriminatory in itself. The Dolmio ads might be another example of an 'acceptable' stereotyping.
7 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoDo a lot of people look at these clean, new, suburban 4wds and think 'a*sehole'? For environmental reasons?
Do the drivers of these cars know there are a whole lot of people looking at them thinking they are selfish and irresponsible? How does it all work - what makes one choose this type of vehicle?
18 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoI'm thinking of putting together an 'Ultimate Cover Versions' compilation. Any more suggestions?
So far I've got:
Jeff Buckley "Hallelujah"
Jimi Hendrix "All Along The Watchtower"
Cake "I Will Survive"
The Vines "Sorry Miss Jackson"
Blueline Medic "Precious Things"
The Bangles "Hazy Shade Of Winter"
Johnny Cash "Hurt"
What do you think?
