  • Is it normal to feel so angry?

I'm a mom of 4 little boys ages 8,7,5 and 10 weeks. Since the last little while of my pregnancy my older boys have become VERY mouthy, defiant and disobediant. They laugh at me when i tell them its time to do anything, or give them cnsequences and wreck anything they can (couch, clothes, books etc.) They all recieve More one on one time with me now that I'm on mat. leave so i really doubt thats the cause. But I find myself becoming SO angry I wish they would just not be here. I love my boys but they are so hard to get along with latley that I just hide. They even laughed when i was crying in frustration. How do I find a way to manage this before our relationship becomes worse?

  • Bizzare occurence or simply coincidence?

I'm very worried for the health of my baby. I went into labour last night, but due to major issues was not sure if it was to early. Thankfully the doc was able to stop it, but was wondering if anyone had ever heard of a story like mine before? On Dec.3/07 I took a positive pregnancy test, to confirm that we were expecting (so concieved on about the 10th-12th of November) On Dec. 6 I was hospitalized due to bleeding, and was told I was probably miscarrying. In the three weeks leading up to christmas my HCG levels dropped, but never bottomed out, and on Dec. 24 I had an U/S that they found what was believed to be a cyst in my uterus, but no baby. I was booked for surgery but did not feel comfortable with the doctor so I saught a second opinion in early february, and was told I was once again, preggers. (WOOHOO) I was booked for an ultrasound, and it was confirmed, but they found NO CYST, only one healthy baby, who they dated at about 9 weeks gestation. cont'd in additional info

  • Is he normal? 8 year old wont shower???

My 8 year old son fights us on EVERYTHING lately, but the one that peeves me the most is his refusal to wash himself in the shower. He stands in there until the water runs cold and wont even wash his hair, let alone anything else. He is a very active and therefor slightly stinky guy, and I dont know what to do to keep him clean. Is it wrong to go in and wash his hair for him at his age?

  • Pregnancy mistaken for a cyst?

I'm in a very wierd situation right now and cant see my doc again until Tuesday. I ws 6 weeks pregnant on Dec. 6 when I started bleeding heavily. I now know that it was a misscarriage, but because my HCG levels never fluctuated my doctor could not confirm until Dec. 24 from ultrasound results. At the time of the U.S the doc found what she claims was a cyst. Last week I found out I am pregnant again, and would need immediate ultra sound to ensure the "cyst" wasnt going to cause a problem. Well I had my ultrasound yesterday, and they found NO cyst and dated me at 9.5 weeks, wich means I would have been preggers at the first US is it possible they mistook my baby for a cyst?

  • Risperadone and ADHD?

I need some advice on the use of Risperadal/Risperidone in regards to the treatment of ADHD and Tourette Syndrome in children. I've been googling for hours and cant find a damn thing

  • Seeking UNBIASED information on Risperidone/risperadal?

My son's psychiatrist is recommendin that we try Risperidone to treat his ADHD and Tourette Syndrome as we are no longer able to manage with simply modifying his diet and attending therapy. Please dont preach at me for considering medication, this is not something I wanted but it has become something of a last resort. I am beating myself up enough. Thank you all for any help you can offer

  • Skipping the third grade?

So, I had a meeting with my son's school the other day, and his teacher thinks he should skip a grade. I know that he is smart enough to handle 4th grade, but emotionally I think it could seriously do damage. He has mild ADHD and ODD, and is in therapy for behavioural issues. I know most of the trouble at school comes out of sheer boredom, but his impulsive behavoiur makes it hard for him to make freinds and I think taking him away from the few he already has would be a bad idea. Any thought or experiance?

  • Is this guy worth it part 2?

After re-reading my earlier question, I realize I wasnt very clear. My hubby is no longer using hard substances, but smokes pot on weekends, and drinks beer. He watches our kids while I'm at school but he is not under any influence while doing it. It just bugs me that he spends my scholarship money on himself. He seems SO selfish and I want to have extra money to do things with my kids. He's not mean to us in anyway. Just lazy and selfish.

  • Is this guy worth it anymore?

I've been with my hubby for five years and from day one it's been pretty draining both emotionally, and financially. We do have good times, but this constant bull$hit is really starting to get to me. He cant seem to keep a job, he spends my money on pot, beer and video games. Because of him I have lost MANY freinds. We have also been dealing with major addiction, (his and mine) and even though i sought treatment he still carrys on with many bad habits. He went back to school and got a Tech. Diploma, but now he's not working and still leeching. The only reason I havent booted him is he watches our kids while I'm at school, and that I have invested SOOOO much into this. Am I completyly nuts to put up with this?
