Just read on the news that Kim K is going to keep all of the details off the show "Keeping up with the Kardassians". Now, after a 2-hour special about her wedding, why is it that we don't get to see the real interesting stuff?? Who thinks this is fair???

  • Jeep Dana 30 axle ratios?

I have a JK Unlimited and it's time to upgrade the axle ratios. I run a 3" lift and 33" tires, mild off-roading, looking for a little more torque, but don't want to go overboard. 3.73 stock is what's in there now, am considering 4.27 or 4.56. What would you all suggest and why? Please, keep in mind that I don't rock crawl, but need to maintain a good highway manners. Thanks!!

  • Installing an AC/DC Inverter?

My question is about the length and gauge of the supply wire. I wish to install this in a 2009 Jeep Unlimited, but there is no room under the dash and under the seats does leave it exposed to all sorts of stuff when I am 4x4 and camping. I am curious if I can install a 1200 watt inverter in the rear of the Jeep, have a good, secure place for it, but I am concerned about the wiring from the battery. Could I use a GOOD AC extension cord, just cutting off the ends and adding an in line fuse at the battery? Where I would like to put the darn thing is probably 10' to 12' of wire from the battery.

Any good ideas would be helpful.

  • Renting my House??!!?

Need to move across country for work, but I own (mortgage) a house where I currently am. Is it possible to start a rental company? I realize that all the legal issues in this endeavor has to be done. But, this is a last move, I will be retiring in a couple of years, and I won't be moving again. I would like to buy a house at my new location, but with one mortgage on my credit report, I really don't think I can find a bank that would allow two. Thus, a company to which I can "sell" this house and allows me to buy a house with my personal credit. Make sense?

  • Car Navigation Head Unit Opinions?

I have a 2009 Jeep Unlimited and am looking to upgrade the stock radio to a full blown multimedia. I've got the ability to mount either a single din or a double din, but I think the double din is better looking in the dash. I looking for opinions on different units as far as ease of use and performance.

    So, whatcha think??

  • JK Jeep Performance Modifications?

I have a Jeep Unlimited, 6-speed Manual -4.10 gear ratio-32” tires, that I have added a True Flow XDI intake to. I am trying to decide on a cat back exhaust, MBRP is my first choice, and a programmer or tuner (Superchip, Unichip, or Diablo). Someone suggested that I might think about getting a throttle body (69mm) from Mopar that is larger than the stock (63mm). What are the pros and cons to changing out the throttle body? A second suggestion was made to change out the stock pulleys and harmonic balancer with a performance set. Do they make these for the 3.8 liter? And, if so, what would be the pros and cons to these? If I do make these modifications, would a programmer be able to take these in to account or would a tuner be more beneficial?

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    John

  • Installing an Amplifier and a Subwoofer?

My Headunit has two pair of RCA Pre-Amp line outs, one for the front speakers and one for the rear. I would like to install a 4 channel amp for the speakers and keep my fade control, plus install a subwoofer system. I've seen 5-channel Amps available, but was wondering how I could install a second amp without cutting into the speaker wires.

  • Long term storage on Jack Stands?

I am in the U.S. Army and getting ready to deploy back to Iraq. We are having a little argument at work on how to store our POVs before we deploy. 1) Place the vehicle on jack stands under the axles or 2) Place the vehicle on jack stands under the frame. It all revolves around the suspension. Which way provides more wear and tear on the shocks?
