  • Electric Shock from sea life...?

What type of fish feels like it emits an electric shock when you step on it in the ocean? This happened to me twice in two days and my daughter once. The area is Cocoa Beach, FL.

The creature feels almost spongy or soft and seems to be buried in the sand and when you step on it, it emits what feels like a electric shock. The shock goes up past your knee and immediately leaves when you take your foot off of whatever it is. Although the shocking stops, the after effects remain just as if you were shocked by an electric current from an outlet or a pretty good static shock (the kind you get in the winter that shoots up past your elbow).

  • The vanishing $1.00 bill?

Three men go to a motel to rent a room. The clerk charges them $30.00 for the room. Each of the men gives the clerk a $10.00 bill, totaling $30.00. The men check into their room and want to watch some TV, however the TV set does not work. They call the clerk and complain about the TV not working. The clerk does not have another set to bring to the room, nor does he have another room to let the men stay in. He tells the men he will refund some money off the price of the room. The clerk takes five $1.00 bills from his register and sets out to refund $5.00 to the men, however, he can not figure out how to split $5.00 between three men. When he gets to their room, he gave each of the men $1.00 and kept the other $2.00. That means that each of the men now paid $9.00 each for the room. Here is where the problem comes into play. $9.00 times three is $27.00. The clerk kept $2.00. $27.00 plus $2.00 is $29.00. Where is the other $1.00?

  • Have you found your purpose in life?

I have just started reading Rick Warren's "The Purpose Driven Life" and I would like to know from those who have read and applied the book to their lives what they have found out. I am only interested in hearing from those who have read the book, so if you have not read and applied the book, please don't respond to my question. Thanks

  • If you jump up when an elevator starts to descend, will you bump your head on the ceiling?

Most elevators have a 7' or 7.5' ceiling. If one could jump up just slightly just as the elevator starts its decent, will you bump your head? You would have to time it just right I'm sure. My wife says no, you won't bump your head, but I disagree.

Just for fun: Next time you get on an elevator filled with folks, make sure you're the last person to get on. When you step inside, don't spin around and face the doors. Keep facing the crowd and watch their reactions. They will all be quite nervous as you are doing something that's not usually done. I learned it in a class I attended and I tried it. It's a blast!

  • What's a good name for a pet turtle?

I found a turtle back in March. It was the size of a half dollar. My kids wanted to keep it so we brought it home. I researched the type, a yellow bellied slider, and made a home for it. It now eats out of my hand and has become part an extended part of the family. Only problem is we don't have a good name for it. Any suggestions would be helpful. The four most common names for turtles don't impress me...you know...teenage mutant ninja turtle names. I was actually thinking something like Socrates or Aristotle.

  • Electronics question about 36 volt, 30 amper golfcart charger. Need to fix myself.?

It's an old golf cart charger. It still puts out 36 volts, but only small amount of amps. Should be putting out at least 20 amps. Changed the meter that I was told was bad, but shows the same reading. Anyone with knowledge please respond.

  • I love hot & spicy food, and have for about 30 years, but lately it's been tearing up my stomach. Any ideas?

Hot peppers have never botherd me. I always get jalipinos on pizza and top it off with crushed red pepper when it gets to the table. In tex-mex food the hotter the better. Same for oriental food. Lately, for about the last 3 or 4 months, everytime I eat like that I have to spend more time in the john than I desire. Has anyone out there had the same problem with not having problems with certain types of food and then all of a sudden you can't eat what you want? I really don't want to give up my peppers.
