  • What programming languages use the function round0() to truncate a number to an integer?

I'm trying to change some code to round to the nearest integer instead of the lowest integer. round() crashed the program, and I don't know what language it was initially written in to be able to identify a function that would work for rounding to the nearest value.

  • How much should testosterone injections cost, and who are the most reputable pharmacies to go through?

Everything I see online suggests that a 10 mL vial of Depo Testosterone should cost around $100 (without insurance) and last for around 10 months. My pharmacy only dispenses 1 mL at a time, and I have been paying around $60 per injection for the last 6 months. My doctor's office told me when I started taking the drug that it is no longer dispensed in the 10 mL quantity and that my pharmacy was correct in that they could not give me that much at one time. Most of the information I've found online regarding what other people are paying for this drug is a year or more out of date, so I don't feel like I have enough information to confirm my pharmacy's pricing but it seems high to me. Can I find some people to weigh in on what their testosterone injections might be costing these days? Also, I read something about people ordering from online pharmacies willing to compound their drug... I'm not very familiar with that process, but if you are, could you please leave the name of any reputable pharmacies you know who would be able to ship. Thanks!

  • How long can a common mosquito survive in a house?

I live in North America and accidentally let a mosquito into my room about 5 days ago. The little bugger is still biting me and finding ways to avoid my attempts to kill it. It is small, and probably belongs to whatever species is most common to North America. How long until it dies of natural causes?

  • How does Facebook's Restricted List work?

I understand that the restricted list generally keeps a specific person from viewing your status updates that are not public. But I have a question about if it is possible to override restricted status in the following ways:

Example, I associate with John Doe in the gym and do not want him to see my general updates to friends regarding where I am or what I am doing. So I add him to the restricted list. But I also have a list for Gym Friends for training discussions and I would like him to be a part of those discussions, so I add him to my Gym Friends list too. Now, when I post to my Gym Friends list, does John Doe see it or does he not? Which list plays trump? Also, will I still be able to message John Doe directly?

  • Can PSP games be played on a TV?

I have the PSP-1000 model and an original PS3. I would ideally like to make the connection through my PS3 since I have usb cables but no video cables and I already have the ps3 connected to my TV. I am able to play the PS3 on my PSP, but this is the opposite of what I want to do. I have seen the posts from several months to several years ago saying that there was no way to make the type of connection I am proposing, but I am inquiring to see if there have been any updates. Anyone know of any software or hardware that has been produced recently to make a PSP to TV connection a possibility for me?

  • What is a good digital camera to buy if looking for fast or adjustable shutter speed for low light photography?

Every digital camera I have ever owned requires the flash on or a tripod in order not to blur the image. After doing some reading, it looks as though increasing shutter speed would solve the problem, but I'm not sure what camera models allow for control over shutter speeds. I only have about $50 to spend on this, but I would not mind buying a used camera. I would like the camera to be a digital model so that I can get my pictures over to my computer by usb. Can you please suggest some camera models I should look into?

  • Do modern televisions require external antennae to watch channels over the air?

Let me start by saying that the last TV I got was a hand me down that the neighbor was throwing out back in the mid 90s when I was a schoolkid. The last time I didn't have cable television, you could turn on a television and reasonable expect to get several (analog) stations. But I haven't had cable in a while, and my analog stations have gone dark. I decided to upgrade last week to a modern TV. I guess I falsely assumed that I would be getting everything I needed to see some television right out of that box. When I scanned for stations though, my brand new awesome TV found nothing. After looking at the connection guide, I was surprised to see something that looked like an antenna, but I went and fetched the one from that old 90s TV and sure enough, about 11 stations pulled up. The majority of them flash something awful, but the fact of the matter is, the channels show up with that old antenna, and without it they don't. So my question is, did I just do a poor job of picking my new TV and not get one as up to date as I thought, or do they all require some sort of antenna to function? And if an antenna requirement is normal, and I just need a better one to stop the flashing channels, what brands / models count for decent these days? I don't need anything super fancy, I just need it to work and I'd like to understand how it works.

  • Is it possible to be accepted as transgender without going through a "crisis"?

I'm a "guy between the ears". I've always known this and I've made peace with being FTM transgendered (no operations yet). I have also discussed my "status" with all of my close friends at one time or another. (They are all straight and identify perfectly with the body they're in.) The problem I'm having is that they all originally knew me as female, and they all still have pronoun issues. It confuses the new people we meet and associate with, since I can pass well enough until someone says "her". I'm wanting to take my friends to task on this, but not eager to reenter the discussion with my best friend. The last time we talked, I had major problems convincing him it was even possible to be transgendered without constant depression and feeling a pressing need to have surgery. In general, I know that my friends are accepting/tolerant people, and I've even seen them get their pronouns right for trans people who are more demanding/assertive about it. It just seems that they don't consider me transgendered because I don't make it a big deal. I don't like the idea of having to make my gender identity a big deal, but I'm not really sure how else to make them get it. So I'm welcoming ideas, particularly those on how to get through to my best friend or from people who agree with him and are willing to defend an argument.

  • What web sites allow users to view close up satellite images of locations by address or gps coordinate?

I have already seen that maps.google.com does this, and was wondering if other sites do this as well. There's a billboard at one of the businesses near my house, and I was thinking it would be cool if I could check it using satellite imagery rather than trying to read the changes while flying past in my car. Google unfortunately shows the billboard from the wrong direction.

Scrye quit. Someone told me there was an official MTG magazine that ran a price guide in it, but the only one I could find was Beckett, which has also stopped printing. Does anyone know of any other printed magazines with price guides for Magic the Gathering cards? (Not looking for online sources of card pricing info - I can't easily carry those in my trade binder...)

  • Is there a website that connects musicians to persons seeking musicians for hire?

I've been checking some job search engines like Monster.com and Hotjobs.com, and it seems they don't have many openings on fields in the entertainment industry. I'm looking for small gigs in my area or maybe an opening for a regular position in a band, but am not sure how to connect to anyone who might be looking for a musician. Is there a site like RoadieJobs.com but for built to connect musicians with job opportunities?

  • What average dvd read speed is required to play current dvd movies?

I have several older dvd drives installed in a computer and have tried inserting a current dvd movie into each drive. Some of the drives play it and others do not. They are all dvd drives, and they are all able to play cds and some older discs I have. So I am wondering if it is just a dvd read speed issue. If so, I would like to know what read speed most of todays dvd movies and games operate at so that I can throw the slower drives out of my collection.
