  • Do you know of any good online IQ tests?

I'm just curious. I don't want a site where I have to pay or sign up for anything.

  • I need an opinion on a professional decision in education. What do you guys think?

I'm an elementary teacher with licensure for K-6 and gifted K-12. I want to further my options within the field. I have the opportunity to take over a position as media specialist at another elementary school. In taking this I will have to get my master's in library science. My other option is to stay with elementary another year and get my national board certification, and in another year start a master's in reading education. I'm really torn between the two and need to give an answer to the superintendent of human resources within the next couple of days. What would you do?

  • Any ideas for a government grant to help purchase an established business?

A person in my family has a golf course that they are about to lose due to poor planning and insufficient management. I want to buy it from the bank but it will cost me about $700,000. I do not have that kind of money. I'm just a teacher. If this property could be bought free and clear it would really have great potential. I need a grant that will get me there.

  • Any thoughts on birth control and liver damage?

About 2 years ago I had a severe reaction to alcohol. After only 1 drink I felt like something was sitting on my chest. My breathing was labored and it seemed almost painful. I thougtht it was possibly a panic attack. I don't drink often so about 6 months after that I was celebrating a birthday of one of my friends and after a couple of drinks I had the same reaction but worse. I saw my Dr. and she said that my liver could possibly not be processing the alcohol. She said that it was too busy processing the birth control I was on. I have not been on birth control for almost 2 years and when I recently got married, I tried to drink wine. After two glasses I became ill and had the same symptoms. I never had this problem before I was on bc. Has anyone ever heard of a birth control causing liver damage?
