Naming a shop?
Starting a new shop selling items such as scented body oils, body scrubs, etc. Any ideas on a catchy name?
5 AnswersOther - Advertising & Marketing7 years agoWhere is the best place to stay on a cruise ship?
I'm making reservations for a cruise. We are going to get a balcony. What are the optimal decks/locations that I should try to get?
Also, even though we don't mind families and children, we have just recently become 'empty nesters' and would love to enjoy the company of other couples who are in our age group (50ish) --what recommendations for cruise lines would you have? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
8 AnswersCruise Travel1 decade agoChemistry Buffs--can you tell me about Redox Molecules?
A product called ASEA claims to work at the cellular level, allowing these redox molecules to help slow the aging process as well as help keep a person healthy. I don't know enough about chemistry to know that this could actually happen. The product is simply sodium and water which "goes through an extensive process". It's expensive, so I wanted someone else's opinion--outside of the sellers--on this product. If you want to see the product as it is advertised, the website that was sent to me was www.amazingmolecules.com
1 AnswerChemistry1 decade agoCan you give dogs human allergy medication?
According to my vet, my dog is allergic to dog food. We have tried changing her diet several times over the past several months, guided by the vet, to less allergy-promoting foods, but it hasn't worked. The only thing she has responded to is the steroid injections which I can't afford to get every couple of weeks. Can I give her human allergy meds or is that too dangerous?
12 AnswersDogs1 decade agoCan you stop a doorknob from freezing?
My daughter's outside doorknob has frozen each year the past three years. The inside "workings" shatter to where it cannot be used--even to get out. So, this is the third year she has had to replace the doorknob. The temperatures have been as low as 3F, but I know other parts of the country get much colder! Anyone from colder climates have any suggestions to stop this from happening?
5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHand-tinting photographs issues?
I was tinting a photograph using Marshall's photo oil colors. In the directions, it says if you don't like the way it's looking, just use the Marlane, which comes with the kit, to remove the color. When I did so, it removed the picture! I can't find any contact information on the kit or the directions to ask the manufacturing company about this. Has anyone else had this issue? Besides NOT using the Marlane again, what can I do to avoid it happening again?

I'm trying to make my first fondant decorated cake. I baked the cake tonight and it's already at room temperature. Is it better to frost the cake with the buttercream frosting tonight and put the fondant on tomorrow, or should I do both tomorrow?

I have heard that baby oil is a petroleum product and therefore isn't safe to use on skin. Has anyone read any research that shows that is true?
11 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade agoHow long does it take the average Neti Pot user to flush out their sinuses?
I used the Neti Pot for the first time and found it interesting that it took so long--about 10 to 15 seconds for the liquid to begin to flush out the other nostril. And then it only drips slowly. Is that typical? It also seems to take longer going one direction that the other which seems weird to me. If the sinus is open to allow drainage to happen in one direction, why wouldn't it be open the other direction as it takes the same path only in reverse, right?
4 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade agoPLEASE! Adult, mature individuals only. What am I doing wrong?
My marriage broke up, in part due to a lack of intimacy on his part. When I became involved with another man and we spoke about this, I made sure he knew how important intimacy was in a relationship. He replied with, "I can't imagine lying next to you and not wanting to make love to you." Now, four years later, this same man turns me down on a regular basis. He wants it maybe twice a month...three times if I'm lucky. I have even tried stimulating his imagination! On Father's Day, all of the kids were gone (they are 17 and 18 year olds). I left an adult movie on his pillow with a note that said, "Happy Father's Day...Wanna Play?" He laughed and said, "Later..." even though we both knew the kids would only be gone for a few hours. Last night, as he was eating a snow cone, I mentioned that I had heard that some men find it exciting to have a woman put their icy cold mouth on certain parts of a man. He said, "I don't know." When I asked him if he wanted to try, he again said, "I don't' know".... I'm becoming quite insecure with my ability to excite him--just exactly what happened in my marriage. Last night, he turned me down saying he was sweaty....and my response was, "I like you sweaty! " Yet, he turned away to continue watching tv. Lately, if he turns me down twice, I don't try again, and I end up waiting another week or two until he "controls" the situation. He says he loves me and does take care of me well WHEN the situation arises. He is loving in other ways such as holding my hand, etc. Any suggestions? Anyone see anything that I'm not?

7 AnswersFamily1 decade agoIs it possible to fix a DVD player that "freeze frames" all the time?
I have two DVD players that we can't use because they freeze frame continually--making watching any movie a really frustrating experience. Is there any way that we could fix them at home? With the prices of new DVD players, it certainly isn't worth paying someone to fix them!
1 AnswerOther - Electronics1 decade agoDrug Rehab and police/social/medical records?
Will going to drug rehab be on your medical/social/police record? I know my teen has smoked pot, and although we have spoken to him on several occasions about this, we continue to find evidence that he still is. He wants to be a fireman--and I know that he will never become one if he gets caught. Will sending him to rehab cost him a record that he won't be able to overcome?

I'm trying to get myself off of my allergy medications. I tend to have hives and urticaria ocassionally for unknown reasons. What anti-inflammatory herbs would be best suited for these purposes?

3 AnswersAdd-ons1 decade agoCruising for 'older' adults :)?
We've been on a few Carnival cruises--and we had a lot of fun. That's when we had children that went with us. Now that we're in our 40s and the kids are gone, we'd like to find a cruiseline that caters more to couples rather than families. I say "older" with a smile since I certainly don't feel old--just the numbers say so! :)
