1 AnswerInfectious Diseases1 decade agoany suggestion about online relationship?
The first time i met this guy was in online chatroom, Later after that, we exchanged the yahoo messenger ID, and start talking in there for about three months or so. We felt pretty intimate and even made some phone calls, but because of distance, we havn't got to meet each other in person. He is in San fransico area, and i am in Texas. He sounds like a pretty decent typical asian guy with master degree working in software field. Recently we've decided to meet each other in real life. So he asked me to fly to his city, so he can take me to somewhere fun.... I never had such experiences, so any idea or suggestion about this? btw, i am 27 years old, and he is about 33.
Thanks
2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoHR-Should i put this (past employment history) as a reference in my resume?
I used to at a local chain convenient store part time for little over three months, but it didn't end up well--got fired. Later i got job in restaurant. Recently I am applying a job in hospital pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.
Will it be found out if i don't use the job i had in convenient store as reference? Because i really don't want them to be contacted, or should I just put it into my application, but choose "NO" under "can we contact this employer"? What is the best way to do it?
Thanks you very much

I was terminated by CVS about a month ago. The reason is I paid an item after it is been opened up. The whole story is,
At the end of the day,I got off from work and took a case of Slimfast drink($7.29) to the front cashier to pay for it. The manager rang me out and found the box was open, she questioned me about that, and i explained" i was the only one in the pharmacy, my manager was busy, so i just drink it first and then pay for it on my way out..." She didn't say anything, I thought it was over.
On the following monday, LP officer, district manager and pharmacy manager all showed up in store. Obviously, store manager reported it to them. They asked me a questions and made me written down a statement about what happen last Thursday night (nothing related to theft on statement), then fired me.
I actually have no problem that they fired me for breaking company policy until I realize my name was showed as "retail theft"on the National Retail Theft Database which will last seven years. So i would never be able to find job in retails. I know myself never steal anything from store.(This is my frist retail job, i only worked there for four months.)
1. The item never been taken out of store.
2. I was intend to pay for it. I actually wait on manager to come out and ring me out.
3. I have the proof of the purchase, store receipt.
My dismissal might have more to do with retaliating against me for reporting the manager.I filed the complaint against pharmacy manager who forced me to work off the clock. Guess they paid me back all the missing hours and just looking to get rid of me.
I had consultation with couple attornies, they didn't really give me the answer i need. what all i want to do is getting my name off from the retail theft databas.
There was no criminal charges against me, and no police involved.
All the ideas and advices will be deeply appreciated.

Still feel confused about my termination from CVS.?
I've worked at CVS for three and half month as a pharmacy tech. Today i just got terminated, becoz i opened a item before purchased it. But the thing is i never thought about that is such big deal, and i did see some old employees done the same thing. so just thought as long as you pay for it, what the big deal out of it? On Thursday night i was starved to die. I opened a Slimfast nutrient drink, then i took it to the front, let store manager scanned, and i paid for it. I have to ambit it i've done it few times, but i DID NOT STEAL. My pharmacy manager did the same thing before, she even ate or drank something without pay, take a paper plate out of bag, and then just put it back to shelf. I know the company policy, just didn't know it was such a big deal, it's like that i am stealing from store. but anyway, i think i deserve another chance. company should give me a warning or even fine me for it. Does it really cause termination? My manager done the same thing, and even made me work clock off which is illegal, seems like nothing happen to her, she is still working there as usual. Btw, i never been terminated before, it is hard to me.
Any suggestion, thanks for your time.

i've work as a pharmacy tech in a retail store, but the manager treated workers horrible. So i quit after three month working there. Now i am applying another job, is new employer gonna find out where i worked before even i didn't list it on my resume?
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoShould i quit my job? (been treated unfair at work)?
I've worked in CVS as a pharmacy tech for three months. my manager continuously taking advantage of me, like giving no lunch breaks oftenly, forcing me to clock out while i was still working, yelling at me at front of all other employees, and making me stay extra hours out of schedule. I've found attorney who likes to help me out with all the hours i worked clock-off; he will contact human resource and write a letter to them. But i really tired of working for my manager, and this job is making me sick. I afraid i won't be able to find another job if i quit, coz i didn't stay long enough at this job. what should i do?
All advices will be appreciated.

9 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoLegal advice needed, problem with apartment complex.?
Problems started two months ago. The apartment i live sent group of maintaince guys entered my room at early 8 o'clock in the morning, and working on sort of renovation which i have no idea what it is for. The wall around entrance was tore down, and placed huge Machine to the underground, made a big hole on the celling. Whole project last about 3 days with bunch of noice and dirt. After that, i expected they would come back next day or soon to place back the wall sheets, and clean all other mess; but they never came back until today(two month after), the wall was left empty and bare, just simply covered with some boards and taped up. It was not just being cold in room. We could easily see the light come through and hear everything from neighbor. They left it that way for more than two month. Yester they sent people back without notice. First went to my neighbor, later ours room. Same disaster happens all over again. All the dirt and noise going through entire holiday. Everything in my room was covered up with plasit wrap and we have tp bear with noice and dust during holidays. We should have our friends and family come over today, but they have to stay in motel, coz there no way for anybody to stay in living room.
My husband tried talk to the property manager about compensation for all the inconvienence they have caused, we didn't get what we paid for. Their guys respond like absolutly "nothing we can do", "not my job" attitude.
Please help, any suggestion or ideas, all answers would be appreicated.
9 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoIs my manager taking advantage of me?? working in CVS.?
i found this job as a pharmacy tech couple month ago. i was put in as a part time tech, but i been working full time since we are short-handed in past few weeks. And pharmacy manager always make me stay later than scheduel made. Like everytime, i was scheduled from 12 to 8, she would make me stay til close, coz she thought they were busy. and it doesn't just happen occasionly, almost everytime she would make me stay til the end of night, i sometime end up working 10-11 hours, sometimes 12 hours a day. Plus, there were other two techs on the floor. that should be more than enough for the situation after 8 o'clock in the night.
Another experience i had was even bitterer. I ended up having some OVERTIME coz she made me contiously stay late. SO my manager made me "punch out" but stay, as long as she need, coz of the pressure from the top, that no overtime is allowed in CVS. that means i worked about 5 hours overtime without a penny pay. All these just becoz i was hire new, and without experiences???
Is she taking advantage of me, what should i do?
3 AnswersCorporations1 decade agoWorking overtime without pay from CVS.?
I found a job as a pharm tech couple of months ago at CVS pharmacy. but, new fresh experiences seems turning sour. i have been working some overtime hours without a penny. Make a long story short, we have been very short in hands recently, and havn't found a suitable person to fill up the position. So everybody worked the longest as they can, but still not enough to cover all the shifts. My manager figured a kinda "crappy" way to fix the issue, she made me "clock out", but stay until all the jobs done. Just like today, she found out i got 3 hours overtime, just made me punch out for 3 hours in the middle of the work, but i actually been working all day straight without break. and every sunday night, i stayed extra hour after "punch out". The explaination for this, is becoz of the pressure she got from the top, not allow employee have any overtime, coz of somebody has been abusing that or what,,,,,,, Anyway, honestly i don't wanna give up this job, but also don't feel right about this. You know that, nobody wants to work long hours, that is why the overtime 1.5 pay exists in CVS. Now i am working overtime, but not even receiving the regular pay. So, what i should do, does that happen to all the CVS??
Really appreciate your time.
