  • Very heavy battery jumper - need some suggestions?

I recently purchased a heavy duty battery jumper as my 'lighter' one failed last year when my battery was dead in the middle winter. Also we have a boat and the last thing you want on water is a dead battery - so....we paid some serious dollars for one with the proper cranks to turn over a totally dead battery. The problem is no one told me how heavy they were (or didn't seem that much on paper).....so any advice as to what I can do. I have a small car to begin with and this would fit lying down in the trunk but if I needed it - I'm screwed because I can't lift it......ideas...ideas.....

  • Coffee Buzz Game on Yahoo?

Does anyone know where to download COFFEE BUZZ a little cheaper. Seems like the price is fairly hefty and I hear customer support isn't that great. Went to some common game sites but don't have this particular game.

  • When to give a wedding gift in this situation - from the parents.?

We have two sons. (30s)... our 2nd son is in the military - came home from Iraq and engaged and married within 6 weeks time. No time for reception but planned on 'renewal of vows' and 'reception/party" when he got back from Iraq around their 1st anniversary... so we held back gifts to see what this reception would be like. Now we find out - he has been pushed back and won't be back until after their 1st anniversary. It's kind of anti-climatic at this point. We just don't know how much money to send them - as there really wasn't an expense of a wedding. They did have a wedding and 'dinner/reception' with just immediate family (10 people) which her parents and us came to a happy decision with paying bills. But we still wanted to give a gift. They both have really good jobs and make more $$ than we do. Any suggestions on amounts to give?

Our 1st son will be getting married to someone who's been married before (mid-30s) - what should we be doing $$ wise?? Appreciate ideas.

  • Ionic footh baths.....consensus....?

I went and had one of these the other day. I know all about the oxidation, etc... and the color..... but..... I felt better after.... my joints didn't ache - why do you think that is? My husband had more energy. If it's a placibo effect, I guess that's worth something too..... My 'gut' says that they do "something" - whether it's massaging the feet... or maybe interacting in a "negative ion" way.......Both of us really did 'feel better'. Maybe there's "something else going on".........it's really a 50/50 thing..... people seem to 'feel better'... so will they win out over the 'facts'.? We are both pretty 'alternative'.... we are a very new country comparied to others - and not everything has to be 'proven'.....to us anyway..... any other people getting similar results?

  • Memory foam mattress with regular foam topper?

I am looking at memory foam beds and have tried the 5.3 lb foam (store). I find it too 'hard' for me. Neither my husband or I are heavy and I didn't event dent the foam. When I tried out the sleep-number bed, I was about a 45 (which is medium soft) but the reviews weren't that great (lots of problems with air leaks, pumps, etc)

I have a local mattress company that will create any type of mattress I want. I was thinking of getting a 4.0 memory foam with a plush 'regular foam' topper. Will this defeat the purpose of the memory foam? I really don't like the 'flat' feel of the memory foam - I prefer a more cushy feeling.... or do you think going with the 5.3 lb (harder) with the regular foam pillowtop would be better.

Again, I don't think I'll like sleeping directly on the foam. I guess my question is, - will a buffer - such as a 'regular' pillowtop defeat the purpose of the memory foam? From what I gather memory foam is really personal - some people really don't like it -

  • Geeks - how about a fix for this problem.....?

I have IE7 running and in Tab mode. Any time I'm on a web page, CTRL Left Click OPENS a new window (instead of selecting non-contiguous text). On 2 laptops, it still works properly. My desktop has a wireless mouse and keyboard (just put on the updates from MS) - still works the same way......In an Office program, it works the way it's supposed to..... but opens a brand new window whenever I CTL click on IE7. Didn't do it in IE6.......any fixes out there - I've tried a lot of things...... is this a Java problem by any chance or a quirky thing with IE7......hmmmmm.......??

  • Does Live Messenger download OVER the old Messenger that's part of Windows?

I never use Windows Messenger because I don't like the interface. Also seems like there's always a 'port' problem using a router. I DID download MSN messenger but took it off - as actually I liked yahoo's messenger better. Is the Windows Live Messenger replacing the Windows Messenger in Windows or is it a separate piece of software - like MSN was.
