  • Could the flu be making my knee pain worse? My knees feel hot and stiff.?

I have bad knees but i have never had these symptoms before. I am 30 and I take joint pills daily. They work wonders but not since I got sick 2 weeks ago. Now I have pain, stiffness and they feel hot. The more I stand and walk the worse they are now. I tried ice packs which help, but only until I stand up. I think I had some sort of flu since I was tired and achy. Did it irritate my knees? The bug was only a day or two but the knee pain had been for a few weeks, long will it last? Any advice would be appreciated.

Also, I have had a sinus infection for 3 months. Already went to doc and had antibiotics which didn't work. Feeling tired with sinus headaches ever since.

  • Is my cat a Chartreux mix?

I have a sweet adopted kitty who looks and behaves exactly like a Chartreux. She has the fur, the size, feet, mauve toe pads, the cheeks, short thin legs, stalky body etc. She appears to be totally Chartreux except for her green eyes which look more like those of a Russian Blue. Can a Chartreux have green eyes or does that indicate a mix? I am guessing she is a mix of Charteux and Russian Blue or maybe British Shorthair.

  • Has anyone been an area rep for the Center for Cultural Exchange (CCI)?

I am thinking about becoming an area representative but I want to know if the program is practical for area reps? They say they offer training and support. How long does it usually take to place a student. They pay per student so I am sure this isn't a big money maker, but do you get bogged down in an impossible situation where you are in the middle of trying to place a student and then don't get paid?

    Thanks

  • What is the salary range for a Program Associate with the World Wildlife Fund?

I see a job advertised that I would love but I can't find any hint as to what the salary would be? It is probably based on experience but I would like to have some guideline. Also, if you know the salary range of any other World Wildlife Fund jobs such as Program Officer that would help.

    Thanks

  • Do you think China really changed during the Olympics?

Two elderly women were arrested for applying for a permit to protest their squalid living conditions since they were "relocated" to build the Olympic venues. Upon applying for the permit they were arrested and sentenced to "re-education through labor". They may be sent to a labor camp for one year, but for now are under house arrest. Does anyone really think the Chinese government is truly going to grant rights to its people? I think they put on a good show, but that is all it is....A SHOW. ABC News has the story. As the son of one of the women was being interviewed, his cell phone rang. It was the Chinese police telling him he should not talk and it would make it worse for his mother. Not a single person who applied for a permit was seen in the designated protest parks. I assume they were all arrested.

  • What are the sea conditions when cruising the Mexican Riviera in late March?

I am going on an 11 day cruise from San Fransico leaving late March. How will the seas compare to other places/times of the year? I have only gone on one cruise that was around the Hawaiian Islands and about 800 miles south through the open Pacific. It got quite rough, and I got sea sick. I would love to avoid that experience and plan on taking Bonine, but my cabin is in the front of the ship.

Any experience with wave height in that region at that time of year?

  • Princess Cruise Waitlist time?

Does anyone have any experience with being on a waitlist for a Princess Cruise cabin? I have no idea what the chances of getting a cabin are. The cheap cabins on the Mexican Riviara cruise I am trying to go on just filled up recently. I am hoping that if I get on the list fast enough, I will have a shot. I talked to a Princess agent who said you can get on waitlists for as many cabin types as you want, and then just take one you want. Any experience with this?

  • How do you cite indirect sources in MLA or CSE style?

I am doing a scientific research paper. I can only find requirements for indirect citations if the author you are quoting is quoting a second author. What if the author you are quoting is paraphrasing a second author?

  • How much work can you get as a substitute teacher?

I am thinking of doing subbing in Anchorage Alaska. I have known several people here who say there is no shortage of work. Does anyone have any experience with subbing and how steady the work is? Also how long are the days, are they usually all day covering all the periods ) or are they often just for one period? They pay is good here, and I would appreciate the flexibility since I am a grad student.

  • In My Space how do you access your page if it won't accept your id and password?

I can only get to my page by searching for myself, but then I can't do anything with it since I am just looking from the outside. I would like to just deleate it all together at this point since I have people trying to find me and I can't respond.

  • Do you need a business licence to sell at a craft fair or farmer's market?

I want to sell painted glass. I have never sold it before, but think I have a good shot. I would like to start small and see how it goes before getting a business licence.

  • Does anyone have experience with taking a repair shop to small claims court?

I just had my summer tires put on, and the shop over tightened the lug nuts and stripped them out. The professional shop I took them to with a flat tire the next day had to spend hours drilling the lug nuts out, after breaking three tools trying to get them off to fix the tire. They said the wrong size tools had been used causing the nuts to be stripped off. I have all the receipts, names etc. Can I charge them for a lost day of work since I didn't have a vehicle as well as the cost of drilling off the nuts and replacing them? The original shop was very unhelpful and downright rude when I asked for help with the flat since I couldn't get the tire off. I wouldn't take them to court if they had tried to help.
