I like the barnwood & chipped paint look but also like 50s Chrome, Red , Aqua, & Green & vintage stuff. And, I want to incorporate modern things in the room too.... Is this possible? We are opening our kitchen (currently done retro), our living room (rustic/Mexico) and adding a dining room. I really wanted to do barnwood & tin on the walls, but not sure how it will mix with the retro kitchen etc. What flooring can go with all these looks???

I have 2 Roma tomatoes that have grown on my plant. They have been green FOREVER it seems? Why aren't they turning red? They are in a metal trough but it is kinda shaded a little by a palm tree. Not enough sun? Could that do it?

If so, what type of paint?

I am doing my one year old's room in fish. NOT TROPICAL FISH. The colors for the room itself are lime and turquoise and chocolate but the fish are real fish colors... I re-did this nightstand to go in there.

I'm shopping for a teen Christmas gift & was wondering if there were any stores similar to Delias or Alloy?

I do not want to put pictures ina glass ball. I want to have my pictures framed kind of and on the tree. How? I am doing my tree in black & white & thought B&W photos would be cute. The only ways I know are jar lids and popsicle sticks... Any ideas?

For example... I am saving up to build a house and I want to be able to put ____$ in the bank and say, "This will build 3 square feet of house!" Or instead of getting a birthday gift form my husbadn- I want to be able to say, "Just give me __sq. feet of house money!" In Texas if that matters...

I bought a kit and the clay stuff was too hard to use though. I think it was old. Do you know a recipe to make my own clay or plaster? I live overseas and the only store here on base doesn't have any plaster. Any recipes?

I temp. left my male Boxer @ home while overseas (military) I came back to get him and take him with me, but he is now aggr.to other dogs (my parent's male dog). We adopted a friend's male Boxer while overseas b/c my boxer used to get along wonderfully with other dogs. My mom says that while I was gone, my 1st Boxer has grown into an adult dog and his behavoir toward other males has changed. How can I ensure that he will be nice to our 2nd dpg when we get to Japan? Should I get him fixed? Should I get them both fixed?

We have $10,000 to invest and will be living overseas for one more year. During that year, we would like to see that $10,000 make a little money for us if possible, so we can put it down on some property when we get back to the states. husband is military if that qualifies us for any great plan or anything... any ideas?

Don't try to change my mind about River. That is def. the first name. I just need middle name suggestions. Last name is two words with one syllable each. I would prefer a "normal" middle name since River is unusual.

It is our first child and although he should be back by the time the baby arrives, he (and I) feels like he is missing it. I send him pictures of my growing belly and he has a sonogram picture with him. What else will make him feel involved and a part of it too? Also, do you think this will affect his relation with the baby?
