  • When should I get back into the stock market?

I rode this bull market all the way to $13,200 Dow and got out.

Now it looks like the bull market has a little more life in it. Should I get back in? Should I wait until after the election? After the "fiscal cliff" stuff? What would be your advice?

    Thank you.

  • do you have to include receipts when you file your taxes by mail?

I am filing taxes by mail this year instead of online because I have a form they won't take online.

What do I have to include if I file by mail? Do I have to include receipts from charitable gifts, copies of my property taxes, copy of my mortgage interest statement etc.?

  • Neighbor problem - help us figure it out?

We have this single guy next door who gives us the creeps. Please help us figure out what is going on.

People stop by his house all the time, coming in for just a few minutes and then walking out with a magazine or some package.

He has a group of people living at his house all the time. None of them ever leave the house. Yet, it is quiet there. He hasn't taken down his Christmas tree yet.

He knocked on our door at 10:30 at night to say he'd brought popsicles for our kids. He bought a badminton set for our kids then angrily came over two weeks later to take it back from us.

He hit my jeep parked in front of my house when he was backing out. He did not have insurance and was driving on a suspended license! He lied to the police and got off scot free. He has ignored the collection agency my insurance company has sent to get my $500 deductible back.

He is also unemployed. He has had two cars repossessed recently.

He had a for sale by owner sign in his front yard for ONE DAY and then removed it.

I am wondering if he is a bookie. I got a magazine in the mail once by mistake. It was supposed to be delivered to him. It was all about sports betting.

Yes, I know I know. It's none of my business. But you know, it IS my business when I think the safety of my family might be in question.

So...what do YOU think is going on? I have not a clue.

Furthermore, should I go to the police? And what should I say if I do?

    Thanks

  • Toyota Sienna 2009 problem?

Our brand-new 2009 Toyota Sienna has a problem. The indicator light for the theft deterrent system is flashing. I'm not sure I even have a theft deterrent system on it. Is this normal? How can I make it stop?

    Thanks.

  • Employee who won't come to work?

Hey bosses, help me with this one.

One of my staff has someone working for him who says that she can't come to work because it is too stressful to work for him. She is claiming disability brought on by the stress caused by working for this guy.

She has a lengthy employee discipline record and we could make a strong case for termination of her employment. I think that she sees a firing coming and is hiding out.

    How would you handle this?

    Thanks.

  • Christians, what does this mean?

When God wants to “talk” to my wife and I, He often gives us coincidences or points us to sections of the Bible or on very rare occasions, a voice may be heard. In the last year, my wife has had three seemingly related occurrences that we are at a loss to explain.

First, last year, my wife kept encountering the concept of “the Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills.”

A few months after that, my wife woke up from a dream to a voice that said “prepare the fatted calf.”

The same week she had a dream that a red cow and a red calf. Some person was feeding the calf from a bottle.

What, if anything, does this mean?

    Thanks.

  • Where in the Bible do you find...?

Where in the Bible do you find the particular animal sacrifices necessary for various transgressions or feasts? Furthermore, why would they sacrifice or serve a fatted calf?

    Thanks.

  • Party suggestions please?

Okay, here's the deal. My workplace is having it's Christmas party this Friday night (I know, I know, Christmas is over) and the person who was planning it just went down with a serious illness and cannot be there or plan the party. We can't cancel.

What we have: a great place booked with great food.

What we need: an agenda, game ideas, icebreakers, and other fun stuff.

    Your ideas please! Thanks!

  • What's the name of this song?

I thought it might be Earth Wind and Fire, but I don't think so.

It's older, from the 70s I think, it's got a disco beat and it mentions roller skating.

    Sorry, that's all I got.

  • Christians, help me figure this one out?

I really want to "honor my mother and father," but it becomes harder with each passing year. My parents were abusive as I grew up, but I've maintained a relationship with them. Now as I have kids, my wife and I have put boundaries up to make sure my parents are never alone with our kids when they visit. Our kids are too precious.

Over the years, my parents have resented this and want an all or nothing relationship with my family. They just sent me an email saying they're done with us. They say they won't visit anymore and will only send birthday cards. Part of me wants to say, well, I tried. That's it. But that doesn't seem like the right thing to do.

How would you handle it if you were in my shoes?
