  • What do you think of blu ray?

Do you think the quality of blu ray is that much better than DVD that you would "have" to have it, or is it just noticeably better but doesnt really have any "wow" factor?

  • If you were an animal which would you choose?

To live your life (free range) and eventually be killed humanely and be eaten or else not to live your life at all?

If we all stopped eating animals, those animals that would have had a life (free range of course) would not get to live to begin with, so why should it be worse to kill them than to deny them life?

some people may say its painful. The pain of death is over in seconds, the pain of childbirth goes on for hours and would be far worse than the pain of death. If you want to stop animals from being killed because it is painful then shouldnt we stop humans undergoing such torture?

They are willing to undergoe such torture because that is the cost of life, therefore shouldnt we give animals the same opportunity and respect to have a life? To want what we want?

  • If your husband/wife was lost at sea for ten years and they returned and you had remarried.?

Would you divorce your new partner and remarry your old one? In the movie with Tom Hanks, when he returned his wife was remarried but she kept the new husband, the same as in another movie. I would take back the old partner as they would have priority; till death, not until you might be dead or are temporarily dead.

  • Is DVI compatible with HDMI?

I have an xpert vision 8600 gt with DVI output, which I connected to the HDMI connection on my TV. I have had no problems before with any other card connected to the HDMI connection through DVI and the card works fine through VGA. This card however makes a loud noise when connected from DVI to HDMI. This is the second card from xpert vision that has not worked with HDMI. other Nvidia cards have had no problem. From what I have read HDMI is backward compatible with DVI therefore any HDMI connection should work with DVI. The guy in the store however wants to tell me it is a "compatibility issue" and so its not the cards fault. Who gives a flying frig whose fault it is, the card dont work it gets replaced, simple as you would expect from any reputable company, the computer industry needs a good kick up the **** with their "compatiblility" scapegoats they hide behind. No other cards have listed themselves as having HDMI yet all work with HDMI.

  • Why do people use computers for games rather than playstation or xbox?

In the video store there only seems to be playstation or xbox games they dont seem to cater for PC's. I have been reading about people building their gaming machines which are a lot more expensive than a playstation with their liquid cooling and thousand dollar graphics cards. it seems that half the battle goes on in the building of them like they are building WMD's.

Do PC gamers look down on playstation and xbox or is there different purposes?

  • Steven Seagal/ JCVan D's latest movies worth seeing?

Steven Seagal's last few movies have been pretty lame, with the last one where his voice is dubbed by someone else part way through sentences was a stinker so I have given up on seeing any more. JCV Damme isnt far behind. Are these two past their use by date? Like so many they have fallen into the trap of wanting to be considered "serious actors"; who cares if they can act, its not rocket scientist.

They both have new releases (in Australia so we might be a little behind (ha ha I heard that) any point in seeing them? I don't care about the money but if people just keep seeing this trash "just in case", they will just keep insulting our intelligence with it and I don't want them getting my 5 cents if they haven't earned it.

  • If you could see into the future and knew your first born child would commit come horrific crime?

would you still conceive them? You CANNOT change them, if they ARE born they WILL commit that crime not matter what, the ONLY way to prevent them is to not conceive them in the first place, wait for a year and then conceive what was to be the second child that turns out perfect. Please do not state the obvious.

  • Is it possible that dinosaurs were not giants due to their design?

Could it be that the giant dinosaurs, rather than being a species of giants, were "freaks of nature", that grew to enormous size because dinosaurs didnt have a rigid predetermined size like we do? The number of actual remains is very small when you consider how many billions of dinosaurs roamed the earth. Therefore theTyrannosaurus could actually be a raptor.

  • Do you think immigration is a good idea?

We invite people from other countries supposedly to help them but IF it were possible to instead help those people so that they remain in their own country wouldnt that be a better idea? Many people immigrate to Australia for the money but then spend a lot of time travelling back to their homeland.

Japan is full of japanese, they dont need to be "improved" by immigrants, they dont need their culture "enriched", so why should we?

  • Is this due to ESP?

At the zoo I decided to test my psychic ablitiy on a tiger. I focused on the tiger and called out to him in my mind. He was lying on a platform and kept putting his head up as if he had heard or smelled something or was looking for somthing but didnt want to get up from his comfortable position lying in the sun. Eventually he got up and wandered as if he was looking for something. He came over to where I was behind the glass wall in a crowd of people about three deep in front of me where he looked me straight in the face, and then someone near me called out, "hes looking at that guy in the jacket".

  • What do you believe the monster in ‘Lost’ really is?

Will my question get 8152 answers and 1447 stars for being such a "good" question. What kind of SFBrains answer a question when it has 8 thousand other people already answer it? What a bunch of simple minded morons that carry on like stone age natives when any of the "magic spirits" on the little magic box called TV make an appearance. "look look I'm on TV, I'm on TV, its magic".

What do these idiots expect? Someone is actually going to read those answers? Why are they so desperate to respond to a question when it comes from someone from the land of the magic red carpet?

Let the insults begin, lets see how original (predictable) you all are. Hurt me hurt me go on you can do it. Unleash that acid toungue and make me cry (with laughter). Ten points for the first person to say they probably dont read the numbers.

  • could the time it takes sound to reach two people in a race allow a person to win?

If two people are in a race, they will be a different distance from the starting pistol. Therefore sound travelling to one competitor will reach them before it reaches the other competitor, therefore they will hear the sound before the other person and have a slight advantage. The amount of time will only be miniscule since sound travels at over 700 mph. However some races are decided by times measured in thousandths of a second between first and second. In some track races the competitors are staggered around the track, so that there is quite a distance between the first and last competitor.
