  • Does anybody know just HOW Applebee's has such moist, juicy steaks?

I'm talking about the cheap, sirloin steaks they serve. They are the most moist steaks I've ever tasted. I really want to know the secret. Surely they are marinated. Anyone???

    Thx.

  • Is it reasonable to want to put a port/pic line in someone with congestive heart failure?

This person had stage iv breast cancer, metastic -spread to her liver and lungs. She was in hospital and told unable to put her to sleep for a different procedure less than a week earlier when they talked to her and she agreed to be put to sleep for this procedure. Less than a day later she died. Congestive heart failure was listed on the death certificate. The nurse said her breathing just got shallower and shallower and she didn't want the oxygen until she finally died. We were only called after her death. We really thought she would be getting out of hospital in a few days.

Does it sound reasonable that they wanted to do this procedure since she was already so sick? I'm trying to make sense of it. I have to keep reminding myself she could have spent many months suffering horribly so I am glad she escaped that, but it is still not adding up to me and my family. She was 60 yrs old.

  • Should I close my credit card account (has balance)?

I'm fed up and in a pickle. I'm thinking of closing my credit card acct. out altogether. I have a close to maxed out balance. If I close it out, will they require immediate payoff? Or will I be allowed to make payments around the same minimum as they are now? I know it depends on my cc terms, but has anyone else done this? If so, what were the reprecussions?

  • Bipolar husband ...I'm so sick of my life. Help? Hope?

He's ruined us financially, hasn't worked in 4+ yrs (I have no hope he ever will work again), he's now into obsessive trading since he doesn't have money to buy new toys. I work and am the responsible one. He's withdrawn from me and isn't there for me (I don't think he is stable enough obviously), but I can't go on forever this way. I have depression and take meds or I'd be long gone looney. i am so lonely and unappreciated. We have a child together and a 30-yr mortgage at this point.

Does anyone know anything that may help me cope? Websites? I know we need counseling, but I need some sort of hope right now. Before I run away. I hate my life! I love him and feel I made a promise to stick with him thru sickness, which is what this is. I'm so torn.

  • 3-yr old has pushed me to my limits! Please advice or something, I need help!?

My 3 yr old son has tested me today more than ever. He's still crying, well barely but he has not shut up about different things he's demanding. He's attempting to control me. It started out with him whining wanting spongebob on tv. Well it was not on. Nothing else would do so he starts whining and crying. Nothing would pacify him. He put in for milk and I told him he had to eat first. Well that was another argument. Picking out cereal, then when I picked it up screaming wanting the other cereal. Then he would not sit down to eat it. One thing after another. So after time outs, popping him (not hurting him or abuse) and mroe time outs b/c he would not stay in the chair, he ran outside to get his daddy who was working with a tractor and I spanked him, brought him in, he's still crying. Wanting his game, his milk, goldfish, anything to get me to obey him! He's acted like he's throwing up due to excessive crying, hes still tugging on me telling me he wants this and that. I'm really fed up. I'm not giving in to any demands and have beeen calmly telling him no but he won't give up. He's the most stubborn child I've ever seen in my life. I've raised 2 other kids (now grown) so I'm older with this one, but I just don't know what to do at this point.

I had to vent if nothing else. I hope nobody else has to go thru this drama. It's brutal.

  • What's so wrong with me?

I give this jerk all of my love and affection. I work full-time, I clean, I cook, I take as good of care as I can of our toddler, I pay the bills including HIS child support, I do it all. I'm nice, I look okay (yes i'm getting older, that's life), I give him all the support and tlc I can. I forgive him when he does stupid, impulsive things. I buy nothing, he blows money anytime he can.

Surely I'm not so horrible that I deserve to be walked all over. Is that just the bottom line? The most giving one WILL be taken advantage of!???

  • 3 yr old refuses any part of potty training. Help!?

He's very stubborn and hard headed. He says "no!" at any suggestion of potty training. He's NEVER used the potty. He's only sat on it several times. He has zero interest, but has been physically able for a while now.

Anyone else have a little hard head? What worked? He stays home so he's not around other kids who use the potty. He doesn't "get" that he's still being like a baby. It has no effect on him trying to tell him it's time he acts like a big boy.

  • Other places to sell collectibles than Ebay?

We have estate collectibles we need to liquidate. They are very odd things, some valuable I'm sure, some maybe not, but... ebay isn't what it used to be imo. We sold 4 items recently and had to pay about $30 when we didn't sell the items for even $200. So that's a good cut for ebay.

Is there anywhere else I might do better? Or is ebay the best b/c of the high traffic? Need help.

    Thanks.

  • What would cause this in my 5-month old kitten?

We adopted a kitten from the humaine society. The way it works is they take the cat to get her spayed after adoption, then you pick her up from the vet and she's yours. Not a good way to start your life together imo, but that's they way they do it here.

She appeared healthy when we picked her out. After we got her from the vet her eyes started watering and she started sneezing. I figured she caught a simple cold but it has not gotten better. The thing is that she has had a very healthy appetite. She sleeps a lot but then she will play as if she's not sick at times, but I'd say she sleeps more than avg.

Yesterday I can see that her eyes are looking worse. The surrounding part is bloosdhot red. I always use a warm wet washcloth to wipe her eyes/nose. I know I've got to take her on in to the vet but what could it be? She eats and is growing so I'm stumped.

    Thx for any info.

  • What breed might my cat be?(pics)?

She is very sleek. The pics aren't that good but maybe they help. Her eyes are far apart. Her fur is very sleek, short and shiny. She has stripes and pretty spots. she likes water! I've caught her in the toilet a couple of times already and in the bathtub while it was still wet. she's very nosey and the lady from the humaine society said she barks. We thought maybe she had some bengal in her at first but I don't know. Any help would be appreciated.

  • What can I buy my 3-yr old? Need ideas on budget?

My son's birthday is this weekend (he'll be 3), also haven't gotten him anything yet for Christmas. His loves are guitar (he has an awesome fender kids guitar already that he loves). He also loves guns, motorcycles and 4-wheelers. Again he already has toys of those and I will pick him up a few cheapies for viriety but I'm stumped as to what to get him.

He has a Little Tykes jeep and his uncle is getting him a new one so that's not needed.

Any ideas? I would appreciate any.

  • Anyone own a 2003 Tahoe? Opinions? (Hubby wants one)?

I was wondering what anyone's general opinion is about a 5.3 Tahoe. The one we're looking at has the Z71 package. It has high miles but is in good condition.

My biggest concern is the fuel mileage. If you have one what do you get city/hwy?

Any other major common problems w/the tahoes?

    Thanks.

  • I have a 1.8 turbo beetle now. I love to drive it but want something new. What would be comparable?

I definitely love to zip around in my turbo charged car. What would be comparable as far as fast, small, and fun? The beetle is just not exactly "me". It has grown on me, though.

    What would you consider?

  • Can anyone relate. I'm at my lowest low right now.?

I feel like running away from my life, my marriage, my job and myself. I am so depressed for lack of a better word. I've been taking cymbalta for some months now and it seemed to help in the beginning. I can focus at work better, but my personal life is a disaster and I am so unhappy. I am alone. I can't lean on my husband, he's just not there for me. He's blank and I think very depressed himself. i am not suicidal or homicidal, but I am just not okay. I don't know what to do. I hate to go back to the dr again. I just want to not feel this pain and sadness that I'm going thru right now. I wish someone would just hug me and hold me and love me. I hate feeling needy but damn I'm so alone in every sense of the word. My hubby is on the bed w/me now but he's lost in his laptop and on his phone as well. He hears me typing away and could not care less what I'm typing or thinking or doing.

  • I can't take much more ...our arguing styles are oil and water! Need help, please?

I love my husband more than anything but when we fight (by "fight" I mean verbally get into it or disagree) we do not work things out reasonably. We are both extremely stubborn and have bad tempers. When happens after our actual argument is that we pout and tune each other out at first then I try to talk to him or apologise (if applicable only) at which point he acts as if I do not exist. He will not answer me or reply to whatever I say, then he will not look at me, then he will turn his back to me or cover his head with covers (if he's in bed for example), then I get louder and tell him he's being disrespectful, then he tells me he doesn't want to talk about it but since I know him he means he doesn't EVER want to talk it out or resolve it. He chooses to distance himself from me til he's not mad, then making up for him is tickling me or poking at me, etc or maybe kissing me or touching me and telling me he loves me. By then I'm irate and don't WANT his words or playing around b/c as I said we never resolve anything. It's a viscious cycle and I HATE it. We do love each other but are absolute opposites at certain things and we don't compliment each other. Uggg... sorry for the rant. It's been a rough day all day today after our argument. It's exhausting.
