We've replaced the heating element and I think the thermal fuse it was called. The dryer is getting warm but not hot. Any clue as to what else it could be? It's about 14 years old but with those 2 things replaced it seems like it should be working right. It's only getting warm and taking about 2-3 cycles to dry. I have tried the timed dry and the more dry/less dry and neither gets any warmer than the other.

When you move into a townhouse with your boyfriend is it customary to have a housewarming party? Several of my friends have said something about us having one. Also don't people bring gifts? We don't really need gifts. What happens at a housewarming party? We feed the people I know that much...but what do we do? How long does it last? The only thing I can think of that we need would be like new towels or a rug to put on the floor but that's not something we would ask for. How does this work, can we put no gifts on the invites?

My children are 4 and 7. My 4 year old doesn't listen and my 7 year old had ADHD and ODD. How can I effectively get them to listen without spanking them all the time or yelling? Taking toys away doesn't seem to work. My daughter who just turned 4 won't clean up her toys. She just sits on her bed and stares at us like she is not listening. My son has attitude all the time. Any advice from parents who have a working solution they use on a regular basis would be great. We need change in this household because it is falling apart.

Do they inspect a unit before or after they know if you can afford it? I am having a hard time getting a hold of them trying to find out if I can afford the unit. My income is almost $750 a month and they did inspect the unit and to me that is a good sign, but then again they could have inspected it just because they were already out there. Do they usually inspect a home before move in if they haven't done the calculations or do they do those first?

I have section 8 (well it is called a Housing Choice Voucher but same thing) and I was wondering from people who have "ported out" how long it has taken them. Particularly in Hamilton and Butler Counties in Ohio. Any answer pertaining to the question is welcome but if you have dealt with either county yourself or know someone who has that would be great. I want to leave the county I am in and need to time it just right because my lease is up at the end of April. If I do it too early I'll be breaking a lease, if I do it too late, I will be homeless for who knows how long because my complex refuses to do month to month. So I guess my question is, how long did it take you to port out and what county were you in of what state?

There's this guy I knew in high school, and he just caught up with me on facebook. After a short while, he messaged me and asked me if I was single. We've been out of school since 2000. Well, we've been talking and trying to set up a date, and he asked me what my record was of being faithful. I told him I have never cheated (and that is the truth), and asked him and he said he has cheated twice. I don't know what the first time involved, but the second time was 3 years later. The 2nd time wasn't an ongoing thing, it was a one time kiss with an ex that he has a child with. He said he didn't like the way it made him feel (knowing he had cheated) and he won't ever do it again, but I always thought once a cheater, always a cheater was a good way to look at it. I really want to date him but I am scared he will do it again if he gets bored with me. He said I have nothing to worry about, but I am still worried for some reason. Do they continue to cheat more often than not?

I dated this guy over a year ago and things ended badly. Thankfully I live about 490 miles from him right now. Well, tonight I got a call from Michigan. I thought it was someone with the wrong number and they sounded stupid so I just hung up on them when they started trying to have a conversation with me and wouldn't listen that I didn't know who the hell they were. They called right back and asked why I hung up on him and said he had met me down in Columbus. Then it clicked who it really was and I hung up on him again. So my ex is pretending to be someone else, or has his friend calling for him. I looked up the number and it is from the same city as my ex. I mean how likely is it someone in Monroe is going to be looking for someone in Ohio, damn near Kentucky, to prank call? I also found that the phone number is a Cellco/Verizon number. Can I call Verizon and file a complaint because he keeps calling my house?

Well, I had a miscarriage 10/19/09 and my hormones went down right away because they never went up very far- hCG at 300 at the most. I ovulated on 11/1 or 11/2- the 3rd at the latest. I have missed when my period should have come and am still getting negative tests. The reason I am worried is because my hCG was so low with my last pregnancy that I didn't get a positive with an early test until I was 6 days late. I have a few symptoms plus the missed period and am starting to be afraid that my hormone levels will be too low again and I will have another miscarriage. How likely is this? I have a 7 and 3 year old so the doctor told me it was very unlikely to happen again, but it's all starting out the same as last time. Can someone here tell me how to stop worrying? I am taking prenatals and DHA already hoping that will help things work out right. Has anyone else had a miscarriage due to low hCG then had a normal pregnancy but felt that way in the beginning?

Does anyone here get sores on their stretch marks? Every now and then I will get a sore on one of my stretch marks. It's not a weepy sore or anything, it's just like a bunch of blood comes up to the surface and makes it look redish purple. Does that happen to anyone else?

I didn't have any implantation bleeding like I had with my 2 kids and miscarriage, so I am down in the dumps. But still holding out hope. Cervix is high and closed. But at the same time, 14dpo! Shouldn't it be accurate by now?!?! I should be starting my period between tomorrow and the 18th. I get hot flashes like crazy and my temp is up a degree. The hot flashes I got when I was pregnant last time and had a miscarriage. I can't help but to wonder, especially since I took my last pregnancy test today.

I can't tell if my cervix is high or low or in between, but it's soft and closed at about 8dpo and last night I had nausea and hot flashes. On 10/19 I had an early miscarriage. I am pretty sure I ovulated on the 1st or 2nd. Is a soft and closed cervix a good sign?

Why does everything seem so grim right now? October 19th I had a miscarriage and I had read so much about how the next 3 cycles were my most fertile, but I don't think I am going to be pregnant this month... I ovulated around the 2nd or 3rd, and had sex on the 1st and 2nd. There's just something hanging over my head that it's not going to happen this month for me, and if it does, how will it turn out? I know it's only been 3 days but I felt pretty menstrual earlier today. There couldn't be implantation after 3 days could there? Why would I feel menstrual when I just ovulated 2-3 days ago? I just feel like it's not my month. These are the slowest hours ever. It's been days and t feels like it has been weeks and that I should be able to take a test by now...

What is BFN and BFP? I know the negative and positive part, but what is the BF? And all the other abbreviations used when TTC. I know that one :) but that's about it.
