  • I saved an attachment without using Save As in Windows 7 and now I can't find the file. Where is it?

I was working on a document that was originally an email attachment. When I was through editing it, I hit "Save" instead of "Save As" and now I can't find the file. I know how to retrieve it in Windows XP, but can't seem to find it in Windows 7. Any suggestions? Or will I have to do the work all over again? Thanks!!

  • 2006 Malibu - What does this noise mean?

    Hi everyone,

Recently, my 2006 Chevy Malibu starting making some unusual noises. When it started, it was a squeaky (almost like chains clinking) noise, on the passengers side of the car, mostly when I would turn the wheel to the right. It would turn off when I would turn it left or hit the brakes.

Now it's almost constant if I'm driving over 45 mph, and turning the wheel or breaking will only stop it for a few seconds. Too, sometimes (maybe 10% of the time), it actually gets louder when I hit the brakes.

I thought it might be my wheel bearing, but was wondering what other possibilities there might be before I take it to the repair shop -- I'm always afraid they're going to sell me repairs that I don't need!!

    Help! Thanks...

  • Windows XP Professional problems - help!?

Last week, my computer crashed when uploading the most recent Windows update. The PC Technician (who is a contractor) had to reinstall my operating system. After he did this, everything on my computer screen seems infinitely smaller. It's really bothering my eyes. His only solution was to make the font larger by changing the size in the Control Panel/Display. Although that helps somewhat with the font, everything else is still much smaller -- icons, documents, everything.

Is there anyway to get my screen back to the way it used to be?

    Thanks in advance

PS ~ The current formula is =sum(e28:e33)-40

  • What do the toritilla, menudo, and chorizo symbolize? Suggestions? Poem by Ray Gonzalez.?

I praise the tortilla in honor of El Panzon who hit me in school every day and made me see how the bruises on my arms looked like the brown clouds on my mother's tortillas. I praise the tortilla because I know they can fly into our hands like eager flesh of the one we love, those soft earnings we delight in biting as we tear the tortilla and wipe the plate clean.

I praise the menudo as visionary food that it is, the tripas y posole tight flashes of color we see as the red caldo smears our notebooks like a vision we have not had in years, our lives going down like the empty bowl of menudo exploding in our stomachs with the chili piquin of our poetic dreams.

I praise the chorizo and smear it across my face and hands, the dayglow brown of it painting me with the desire to find out what happened to la familia, why the chorizo sizzled in the pan and covered the house with a smell of childhood we will never have again, the chorizo burrito hot in our hands, as we ran out to play.

  • HELP! Won a scholarship, now they're making me pay back my aid?

I recently was awarded a scholarship that pays roughly $798 each quarter for my tuition - this scholarship is through the college's foundation and is merit-based.

I was previously awarded $125 a quarter in financial aid (a grant). Now they are saying that if I want my scholarship, I have to give up my financial aid and pay back the financial aid that I already used this year...

Just for clarification - My total tuition bill this quarter is $1002, so the scholarship & financial aid combined do not cover it. Therefore, I do not understand how they can take away my financial aid!

Any help that you can provide in proving me right and the school wrong would be most helpful...

  • Mineral Crisis Hypotheses - How to test?

There are two hypotheses regarding the impending mineral crisis:

    1) As the number of people on Earth increases, the demand for mineral resources will more quickly deplete the Earth of such resources.

    2) More people means more innovative ideas, finding new ways to adjust our use of minerals so as to not run out to quickly.

How would I test these two hypotheses? Any suggestions?

  • Cross section of a river that is 3km wide & 30m deep?

Do you have to convert 3km to meters first? So that the answer is (3000m)(30m)=90,000m squared?

I'm totally confused by my lab homework and need help!

Too, if 90,000 is cross section, then what is the velocity if the discharge is 22,000 m3/s?

  • Sister Issues...Long, but Need Advice?

I have two sisters. My older sister & I don't get along. My younger sister & I have always gotten along and been very close. For the last 4 years, they have lived in San Fran and my little sister has worked for my older sister as her nanny/housekeeper. Recently, my younger sister decided to move to Seattle to pursue a degree at Univ. of Wash. When she got here, she got depressed and wanted to go back to Cali. Both my sisters have a history of mental illness (older sister-depression, younger sister-anxiety). Now neither of them will talk to me, because they blame me for this whole thing. I'm left here wondering what the heck I did wrong. I expect this from my older sister, but not from my younger sister. I think she needs to seek some professional help to deal with her anxiety, but she refuses and now won't talk to me. What should I do? I feel so helpless.

  • Drip coffee or Espresso?

Which has more caffiene? I always thought that a shot of espresso was probably the equivalent to 2-3 cups of regular drip coffee. I think this is a pretty common believe amongst coffee drinkers, and so I figure it must have some basis in reality.

However, my sister who is a barista says that it's actually the opposite. A cup of regular drip coffee has the same amount of caffeine in it as 3 shots of espresso.

    Which one is correct?

I support our troops, but I don't support the war and never have. Is that possible? It seems that some people feel that it isn't possible, and so I'm wondering why not?

  • Why is George W. getting touted for finding out about the terror plot?

It was the British government who figured it out and stopped it. The terrorist being arrested are primarily from Pakistan, a country we haven't even attacked...because the War on Terror is dead. It ended when we invaded Iraq, since they weren't a threat.

When are we going back to fighting against the terrorist threat Al-Queda?

  • Is the US overreacting?

This whole "liquid ban" seems extreme to me. My boyfriend flew today and sat on the plane for an hour before it took off from the runway, with no air conditioning (the engines were off) and nothing to drink, when it was 95 degrees outside.

I just don't think it's reasonable that you aren't allowed to bring drinking water that you purchased at the airport on the airplane with you... They'd know you got it at the airport, because you've already passed through security.

And what is going to stop a terrorist from disguising these chemicals as baby formula or insulin, two of the liquids on the "allowed" list?
