Its fantasy.. I read it about 20 years ago and all I really remember is parts of it.

The kid next door shot an old mans cat. The old man went to bury his dead pet under the bush on top of a hill where the cat like to lie in the sun, but when he started digging he found a trapdoor that led down some stairs. When he got to the bottom of the stairs he went thru a corridor/cave and found himself on a stony beach. He wandered around for a couple hours and found an old wrecked ship. He decided to go back home and found he had been gone for days and some people had been snooping around his property. He was able to find these snoops and when they met the snoops were very interested in some old artifacts he found in the other world.

He me some fantasy type characters.. I remember a talking hippie lion and a beast called 'teeth and legs' that mostly ate everything in its path.

I dont remember much else such as the author (or I could have narrowed it down) or any of the character's names but I do remember i read the whole book in a couple hours and I really enjoyed it.

If anyone knows the title and/or author I want to download it to share with my children who atm think reading sucks. I want to show them that it can be fun and I think this story might help.

One of my computers is running a spam-bot. It keeps sending links for Canadian ED drugs to everyone in my address book. It's very embarrassing and I can't find the thing to get rid of it. I have tried AVG's free anti-virus, Microsoft Security Essentials and gone through my system with hijack this, but I still cant find it.

Does anyone have any good advise on some free software that will get rid of it or information on how to locate and get rid of it without formatting and reinstalling windows?

My civic is getting worse. I know enough about engines to be dangerous. When the problem started I suspected an old ignition system so I changed everything.. cap, rotor, wires and plugs. No changes.

What it does is if you drive at a constant speed it stutters and loses power.

My next thought is it might be injectors. This car has a throttle body with two injectors. What I have to do to drive without sputtering down the road is accelerate very fast to the speed I want, then coast until I lose 5 or 10 mph, then give it the gas real hard until i get back up to speed and then coast again.

It kind of seems like one of the injectors might not be doing it's job due to the fact that when I give it a lot of gas and it needs to use both injectors its fine, but when I smooth out and try to hold a constant speed and only the primary injector is needed it sputters. (My logic of how the injectors work and when in this throttle body may be very wrong.. I said I knew enough to be dangerous)

If anyone has any (helpful) opinions on what might be wrong or what else I should check before shelling out money for new parts that may or may not fix the problem I would really appreciate it.

Oh.. almost forgot.. When the car is cold and I start it it skips and sputters very badly until it warms up. It idles very nice after its warm.. doesn't overheat..accelerates fine until you get into higher rpm's (4500 or so) then it skips and sputters unless you put your foot on the floor.

I know there are some honda ppl out there who know exactly what is wrong. Show me how much you know about Honda's and save me some time and money and possibly a long walk in the snow when it finally does take a dive

My friend has a Chrysler Cirrus. Not sure of the year.. Maybe '04 or '05. It has the DOHC four cylinder engine. Not sure of the displacement. Its not a turbo or anything fancy.. But recently he has been having a problem with the car just dying on him. I cant seem to see any pattern to the problem or find any fix for it. The one thing I do notice is when you try to restart it you cant hear the fuel pump turning in the tank. Sometimes it will start right away, sometimes in an hour, sometimes after letting it sit over night.

He recently took it to a shop and paid like $500 buck for a new fuel pump without getting a good diagnosis and still has the same problem. The mechanic told him there was a thermal overload on the motor that would prevent it from pumping fuel and the motor was probably at fault. (whatever)

I've checked the fuel pump relay.. It checks out fine but after that I'm stuck. No bad fuses.. no noticeable bad wires. I'm stuck. maybe its the ECM? Please help if you can.

A friend of mine says its in Lee or Collier County, Florida. I haven't been able to find any information from anyone claiming to be the largest trailer park anywhere on the internet. Maybe the people there dont have the internet yet.

If I was a part of the largest trailer park I would use that to make myself feel better about living in a trailer park.

My friend had a beetle crawl into his ear and I'm looking for novel ideas on how to get it out. Be creative... Personal injury is not a concern (i.e. use an ice pick and stab the beetle until he is dead) is an alright method for getting said beetle out of said ear. Most creative answer that might work will get the points!!

I got a new board and put it all together.. couple gigs of ram, dual core cpu, twin video cards, bunch of drives.. when I power up all the fans spin, I can hear the drives spin up, the system gets warm, but no beep and no video. I tried a new video card, put the cpu into my old board to test it.. it was just fine. I know the ram is good, it works in other systems, I disconnected everything except the cpu and the monitor, reset the bios.. tried everything. The only thing I found to be out of line is the PSU. I got a 430 watt and they recommend at least 500 watts. Is the boot failure I'm experiencing due to the lack of power? Does this sound normal, I mean I've run lots of systems on a crappy old 250 watt psu with no problems. does this board have some wierd power circuit that wont let it boot? I tried it with a different board of the same make and thought it was defective and took it back and exchanged it for this one and I got the same symptoms. Anyone had this problem on this board?

I've got a Westinghouse 42" LCD monitor (I know Westinghouse makes washers and stoves) and Comcast digital cable with their DVR. I am using the HDMI cable to connect my DVR to my monitor. Recently I have been having a pixelating, or skipping and blotchy picture with skipping and very fast repeating of small amounts of sound. The cable guy has been out here a few times and of course, it never happens when he is here. I have an entry level HDMI cable. Will using a more expensive one like Monster Cable help to fix this?

Who here is going to the infield for the Daytona 500? Are you mad about the price increase? I've heard tents arent going to be allowed with the motor homes this year.. Does anyone know this for sure?

What would happen if you used a cardiac defribulator, like the ones found in shopping malls, on a person who isn't experiencing cardiac fribulation?

I have two transmissions for the same car. It is a93' 5 speed mitsu mirage. One of the trans has a messed up first, second. The other has a bad fifth,rev. Can I take parts from one and put them into the other to make one good transmission?

I do all my own automotive work, I can rebuild an engine.. The only part of a car I haven't worked on is the inside of a transmission.

My children got into the laundry detergent. It was liquid Tide Coldwater Fresh Scent. It was blue.

I used a carpet cleaner with plain water over and over. Then I used carpet soap but I still got bluish stains.

The carpet is tan. I'm pretty sure its the cheap stuff. It was here when I got here.

If you know how to get the stains out please tell me.

I've heard you cant sneeze without blinking your eyes and I believe that, but what will happen if you were able to keep your eyes open?

I dont want to use anything abrasive or any strong solvents because I am afraid of damaging the surface of the monitor. I've already tried just rubbing it with my finger and using a washcloth with dish soap.

The monitor is an Acer AL1914 19" LCD flat panel.
