I am obsessed. Many things occupy my mind, like the Joker, Jack Sparrow (and Johnny Depp in general) and Mike Rowe. I suck at most things, but I love to write long-ass answers on YA. I'm actually good at that. By the way, I'm on Twitter now, tweeting the days away. Find me: http://www.twitter.com/evry1sucksbutme

  • Do I qualify for the American opportunity credit?

According to the IRS, to be eligible for the American opportunity credit, the student cannot have completed the first four years of post-secondary education as of the beginning of the taxable year. Does this apply to credits towards a degree or total years? I finished my bachelor's degree in December 2012 after 3 years of work. However, prior to that I attained an associate's degree after 6 years of work.

  • Page numbers wrong in MS Word 2007?

Everything was fine up until page number 26. The numbers formatted correctly just as I wanted them to in sequential order. However, after page 26, the next page is numbered 28. I can't get Word to insert a page number 27. This is a big project I want perfect and Word just does not seem to be cooperating with me. How can I get this to number correctly again?

  • Frequent headaches, stomach aches, fatigue?

For about the past month, I have been experiencing frequent headaches that range from moderate to severe that sometimes do not go away with OTC pain relievers like Excedrin, stomach aches that come and go, and more fatigue than usual. My appetite hasn't changed. I'm a female in her early 30s. This is probably not the greatest place to ask the question, but does anybody know what these symptoms might indicate? Maybe someone on here has experienced the same thing.

  • Can you help me with my statistics paper?

A program manager asserts that a newly enacted Federal Government reporting requirement makes it impossible for her staff to process as many job applications as in previous years. She says that in previous years, her staff was able to process an average of 100 such applications per week. A random sample is taken of 15 weeks’ output during the period following enactment of the new reporting requirement. This sample yields the data listed below. Note that n < 30 to keep calculations relatively simple:

    93, 103, 95, 101, 91, 105, 96, 94, 101, 88, 98, 94, 101, 92, 95

Assuming that weekly output of applications is normally distributed, does sufficient evidence exist to conclude that staff productivity has statistically and significantly decreased following promulgation of the new regulation?

Support your conclusions. State the null and alternate hypothesis and please show your work in rejecting or failing to reject the null hypothesis.

I'm having trouble even getting started with this.

  • Why is my cat shedding tears?

I've noticed that my almost 8-year-old male cat has been producing a large amount of tears lately, so much so that it appears he has been crying. He's had some health problems in the past (kidney stones, pancreatitis) so I am quite worried this may be a symptom of something larger once again. I have been reading that cats may acquire allergies and tearing may be a symptom of that; however, I see no other allergic reactions accompanying the tears. Am I worrying for nothing or should I seek veterinary care immediately?

  • What may be some causes of blood in a dog's stool?

My family and I came home today to find that our 15-year-old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix dog had pooped on the floor. Accompanying the stool was bright red blood. According to my father, this happened last night, as well, and seems to have continued into today. My mother originally thought this condition might be due to some bad food (buffalo chicken pizza--please do not judge, I did not feed this to him!) but something like that should have passed by now. I am going to make an appointment at the vet as soon as possible tomorrow, but has anyone experienced this problem in their older dog? What was the diagnosis? The outcome? Opinions, please.

  • The Joker: Evil clown or evil jester?

Please help my brother and I settle a little bet. He says the Joker (from Batman, of course) is an evil clown, whereas I say he's an evil jester since he is always handing out those nifty little joker playing cards and the joker on the playing card is a jester, not a clown. So, is the Joker a clown or a jester? Or are clowns and jesters the same thing?

  • How can I find out who holds my 401(k)?

Unfortunately, I left my old company on not so good terms so I really don't want to call them to find out who holds my money. I received paperwork a while ago which I cannot find. How can I find out who is in possession of my 401(k) funds?

  • BSOD error codes--what's the problem?

My Dell Dimension E310 running on Windows XP Home Edition randomly shuts down to blue screen and displays these error codes:

    0X000000D1 (0XEE67000, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0XA999D125)

I have been told it may be a problem with my hard drive and that I may have to get an entirely new one and re-install Windows XP (if I could even find a copy). This is a recent problem and I'm hoping I don't have to go out and buy a new computer or spend more than a new computer would cost to fix it. Could any of you help me diagnose this computer's ills?

  • Major problem with my Dell PC. Help, please?

I have a Dell Dimension E310. It's about five or six years old. I run Windows XP Home Edition. The problem I'm having is that it shuts down to a blue screen and I get an error message that states the computer is being shut down to prevent further damage. This happens several times a day and I have to restart the computer every time.

I tried to restore system settings, but I can't do that either. What might I be able to do to fix this problem?

  • I really don't know what to do. I thought I'd be happy--help!?

I started a new job on Thursday. The problem is that I'm only two days in and I'm not sure if I like it. I got placed through a staffing agency and it's the only job opportunity I've had offered to me in two months. I know I should be happy to be employed again and making money but the money is very low (think single digits) and the drive is pretty long (not to mention I spend $2 a day for tolls). The good thing is that it's just down the street from where I go to school two or three times a week.

I guess what I'm asking is, should I stick with it or should I keep looking for something else, even though no other opportunity has presented itself to me thus far?

I'm 30 years old, I still live at home with my parents and I am still not making enough money to move out like I had planned. Any advice?

OK, geez. What would you do to save the life of a friend? Would you go to the ends of the Earth and beyond?

And, yes, I am paraphrasing the end of Pirates of the Caribbean 2.
