but is there a lit. term for when somebody leaves out parts of the truth or beats around the bush???

ok ive liked this guy for a really long time and he finally liked me and asked me out so we were dating for aout a month and then one night he was like our relationship is dulling down some...do u think we shuld b/u and after 1/2 an hour i finally got out that i did wanna b/u! well now we r really good friends...and hes like im not going to talk to u until high school starts cuz i wanna get over u...well i dont wanna lose him as a friend and i still like him as a bf a little im just confused so whats a good way he we can talk and him no have to get all sad =( he said i can only call if i wanna go back out! what should i do...cuz i still like him!!!!!!!!!!
