Can a California correctional officer marry some one who went to jail in there past and completed their restitution fine and probation.

This was many years ago, he completed his probation terms

I'm already in process of joining the academy next month. I was honest about my living situation that i was living with someone who was on probation, went to jail and i did go visit her while she was in jail. Her background has no affected my process of joining the academy, if i was to marry her now that she is off probation and does have a record, could this terminate my future career as a correctional officer?

i just started my full time job and im slightly nervous ill be let go if i dont obtain my CDL. im trying has hard as i can to prepare for this test making sure i know my info, applying to other jobs as back up. i have two months to obtain my CDL or im let go so i am determined but my question is if i dont get to keep my job and i do get let go can i apply for unemployment while looking for work even if i worked for 2 months, im from cali btw.
