My son's HP mini 110 will not boot. When the power is turned on, the Windows XP page appears with the blue progress line under Windows logo. The blue dots travel for about 5 seconds then the entire laptop freezes. I can not access system restore w/ F8, I can not recover w/ F6. I can not run in safe mode. ( trying to run safe mode- lots of command lines pop up for a second, screen darkens, and then goes back to menu asking to start normally or in safe mode...

I have removed the battery and powered up for a hard boot and same thing happens. The mini does not have a disk drive so no access to recovery disks. I am at a loss. No warranty left. I can not get it to boot at all so no chance of recovery from start menu. I was able to get in to safe mode once but was unsuccessful in running any diagnostics and now unable to get back in. Anyone have any ideas???

I have a Belkin wireless router attached to my desktop along w/ a DSL modem. I also have a laptop that connects to the internet wirelessly. The DSL speed in to the desktop is at 100mbps and the laptop only at 54 Mbps. How can I speed up the laptop? I tried changing channels on the router and plugging the laptop directly in to the router via ethernet but now the Ipod touches in the house can not get online. They wont even detect the network. My laptop automatically registered the change but the ipods will not. How can I speed up the laptop speed AND get the ipods back online? Thanks!

If a man is disabled ( has terminal cancer and can not work) and legally is still married ( but seperated for 3 1/2 years) are the wife and children eligible or entitled to any of his disability/social security benifits he recieves? ( p.s. he is currently behind in child support) Thanks!

I have a very old Montgomery Ward side vernt dryer ( model # LNG 7654A22) and it is overheating. When its on for just a second or 2, you can see bright red inside the dryer ( with door open). You can clearly see it is too hot. When the dryer is off, but plugged in, the top of the dryer continues to heat up so I have to keep it unplugged. I am guessing the thermostat is out. On a parts site, I found the parts but I dont know exactly what I need. I am on my own attempting to fix this all on my own, just dont want to pay a lot for a part and it be the wrong one. Listed were: Thermostat-high limit, Thermostat-cycle and Thermal Fuse. Any ideas? I know nothing about dryers!!! I am also trying to do it in a hurry because w/ 3 kids...clothes are piling up fast! LOL Please help!

My husband and I have been seperated for 3 years. He has a ( fake in my opinion) medical issue preventing him from paying child support. This is how he broke the news to me that the reason for not seeing his kids in over a year was because he has had ( and lived with) a new girlfriend. I do not have the money to file for divorce but I don't know where to start. My kids are everything to me and nothing to him. He refuses to give contact info in case of kid emergencys and doesn't see them. What are my rights and where should I start?

My husband and I are seperated vand he is in another town. Says he has a terminal brain tumor. He says he was admitted, operated on and sent home 3 days later w/ 32 staples in his head. (this is after his blood sugar was at 722). Anyway, this is the reason for not paying child support that I depend on. Can I request his records from the hospital by legally being his wife?

Ok, so you have a guy and a girl, co workers, definately in to each other, serious flirting and some outside of work hanging out....one leaves the company and they don't talk like they used to....girl asks guy out to a football game( via email) and he writes back he will definately be there but doesn't say " call me, we will meet up" or "lets hook up" or anything to that nature. Is that a blow off? Is that a " I want to go to the game, just not with you" kinda thing? Note: Both guy and girl are VERY shy and played years of cat and mouse with both dropping the ball at every opportunity! How do I proceed without being pushy or too come on-ish? Do I ask if he wants to meet up or ask if he is meeting anyone there??? Please help and thanks!

I need a mans opinion. I know are far more simple than us women try to make them out to be. I have been divorced for 3 years and have not dated. I want to get back out there and I work with a great guy and he would be a great start. You would think flirting would be like riding a bike, but I can't. It's like I forget...that or the fear of rejection. Anyhoo, how do men show they like a woman? We share smiles across the room, we look out for each other, we have a lot in common, we help each other in the office all day, we joke a lot, he asks me every friday what my plans are for the weekend ( if i tell him I have no plans, he doesn't carry the conversation any further) I was covering the office for him once and he emailed me his number and all but begged me to call him ( over christmas). My niece called needing me to pick up some school supplies once and he RAN out and when home and got some he had and brought them to me...things like this all the time but he isn't the type to make a move and I am a chicken. He is a gentleman and a one of a kind kinda guy. So, I guess my question is, are these the things men do to show you they like you or is he just a super nice guy? How DO men show a woman they like them? Thanks guys!

I worked with a man that I had a lot in common. We worked together for a few years and got to know each other pretty well. I had the biggest crush on him ( even at my age-30) and just as we were getting REALLY close, I left the company. We have exchanged emails and cell #'s but both of us are very shy and reserved. Once one finally makes the move, the other flows with it but we are very shy. I left the company about 6 months ago and we met for lunch once and emailed a few times. I don't have the nerve to call him and ask him out but he isn't much of an emailer either. If I decide to write him and ask him to this football game, what should I say? I am going grazy trying to remember the name...had a beautiful red headed female cop and a sexy scruffy male cop, investagators....I think it had the word BULLET in the title. It was on CBS, i believe late night. They had this line up for awile...there was a judge out for justice kinda show, but I cant think of the cop show. Any help?

I did not file taxes in 2006 and in the process of fixing that. I do not have any old pay stubs and I do not have my W-2's for that year. I am trying to find out how much state tax was withheld but the IRS # I was given is getting me no where. I have searched on Indiana website and IRS and I am coming up w/ nothing. Thanks!

I went to an interview today for an office position. I know quite a bit about computers. So, I thought. I was asked " If someone comes in the room and you don't want them to see what is on your screen, How do you lock your computer? She DID NOT mean password protection.....she meant a super quick way. Anyone know a quick way to lock and unlock your pc? By a keyboard function maybe???
