My daughter is 8 years old and in the second grade. I got a phone call today from the Vice Principal saying that she is being suspended for 3 days for "destruction of personal property". My daughter has NEVER been in any trouble other than being reprimanded for excessive talking. She wrote the word "loser" on some kid's T-shirt. Now this shirt that she wrote on is a "field day" shirt and kids were allowed to sign other kids' shirts. Now I am not saying what she did was okay, she should be punished for it. But I think that a 3 day suspension is a little over the top. I don't understand how they can classify it as destruction of property when other kids wrote on his shirt. Yes, the comment was inappropriate, and I don't have a problem with her being sent home for the day. I do have a call into the principal to discuss it. Also, let me make it clear ... I do think she was in the wrong, I just don't think she should be suspended for 3 days. Here is the course of action I am

Little Old Lady: I am 86 years old.

Defense Attorney: Will you tell us, in your own words, what happened the night of April 1st?

Little Old Lady: There I was, sitting there in my swing on my front porch on a warm spring evening, when a young man comes creeping up on the porch and sat down beside me.

Little Old Lady: No, but he sure was friendly.

I just wanted to see if anyone that does not fall in the 00-20 category has received their check? I know that those are the only ones that are supposed to be deposited this week, but I was just curious to see if any other have been.

My husband plays poker (this isn't a problem). I also play poker, but not quite as often as he does. I usually play about once a week (on Friday). Anyway, he asked me to come out to play on Wednesday night. I went and stood with him while he played (I didn't end up playing). He was sitting next to this girl (still no problem). She was overly touchy feely. I normally don't have a problem with this. I am not a jealous wife. But the entire time I was standing there (probably about an hour and a half) this girl did not acknowledge me. Now there are very few females that come in there, but most of them that do know both me and my husband and may occassionally flirt with him. I don't have a problem with that, my issue is her disrespect. My husband said that he would make sure she knows who I am. I told him to please do it discreetly because this isn't about jealousy it' about respect.

Has anyone that banks with Security Bank had their check deposited today? We fall into the 00-20 category and money hasn't hit my account yet. I just wanted to see if anyone that was expecting their money today and banks with Security Bank got it yet.
