As a straight female I would like your honest opinions please?
Honestly these are serious questions; please don't think this is another basher's prank question.
Male or female -- do you think there was a "cause" that made you gay? Such as, family or home situation in your early years... an incident or abuse... or do you feel you were born that way?
Do you feel it's possible to change to heterosexual - not by pressure but by choice? Or is the tendency/preference to be gay a permanent thing?
Since I'm asking such personal questions I should explain that I was with a wonderful guy for several years, when he suddenly confessed that he was gay. I'm broken hearted about it because we still love each other so much... I've been kidding myself that (1) if he loved me enough he'd WANT to be straight & (2) if I were a little sexier/prettier/hotter, etc., he'd change.
It isn't fair to feel that way... but I do love him regardless. I'd just like to understand more and don't want to ask him because he might think I'm asking him to "convert."
Thank you..
14 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoQuick! Any tips on how to have a great interview?
Hi! I have an interview tomorrow and I need all the tips I can get.
I'm a temp here and I've been working this assignment for almost a year and a half.
The company's gone through an acquisition and during that period there was a freeze on new hires. Now that the freeze is off, the company posted my job publicly. (I assume there are fair-hiring laws that required them to do this!)
Long story short, I have to interview tomorrow for my own job!
As expected, I'm a little nervous about having an interview...
Please let me know a little about the best interview(s) you've had, why it was so great, and any advice you may have.
I just need a little boost from my fellow Yahoo-ers! Thanks!
8 AnswersCareers & Employment1 decade agoWhat do you think of Mike Tyson's announcement?
Mike Tyson just announced that he'd consider fighting (meaning boxing of course!) with women on his upcoming tour. I'd just like to hear opinions and comments - funny or otherwise - on this. Thanks!
3 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoDoes anyone know this bizarre but catchy song?
There's a song a local radio station uses as "background" music... I already called them to ask about it... they had no clue what it was! (yeah, a radio station that doesn't know it's own music??)
I can't tell much of the lyrics but I've heard the song playing on another station too far away to pick up so I know it isn't just a local thing.
All I know is it's very catchy. It sounds a little like "Never There" by Cake, the word "windmill" is mentioned in the lyrics, and part of the background track is a hilarious maniacal man's laughter. Also, there's a female voice that sounds like Britney Spears just singing "ooh, ooh".
I know this sounds like a joke question... but it isn't!
Haven't given you much to work with, but can anyone tell me what this song might be??
4 AnswersMusic1 decade agoDigital Cameras - Advice and Info from fellow consumers please?
Hi Yahoo-ers!
I want to buy a digital camera mainly for landscape and nature photography. I can't spend more than $200 right now so my options are a little limited. I want to stay with more 'known' brands like Kodak, Canon, HP, etc.
I'd like to hear from everyone who has a digital camera and is very happy with their results! Brand, price, megapixels... any advice? Whatever information you can give me I'd appreciate. Thanks!

2 AnswersDogs1 decade agoIs it crazy to move across the country to be with a 'friend'?
My best friend just moved to CA, asked me to join him after he's more settled.
I'm a temp, my job may be done in a month. Might be perfect to accept my friend's offer. But I'll get no emotional support from my parents. What's embarrassing is, I'm 40 y/o, & not been able to leave home due to financial problems & a layoff a few years ago.
With my friend I have unconditional love, he gives me confidence & makes me feel positive, excited about life. My parents are guarded, old-fashioned, negative...to them the world is too dangerous for a "girl" & would FLIP if they knew I was considering it. Plus he's my EX boyfriend & though he & I are fine, they can't get past that.
I'd like to hear from others who were/are in similar situations, how they got thru it. I love this guy, I'd love to be with him. We're closer now than when we had a 'relationship'!
Is it crazy to move 2000 miles if I've never even left home yet? I'm nervous about it, but I want to FINALLY have my own life! Help!
