About two months ago, she told me that she didn't care how I felt about her that she would always have the upper hand because she is my husbands daughter. I have no children of my own and her father and I have been together for six years. This comment came out of nowhere and her father hates any confrontations. She denied making any comment to me. I feel like the third wheel. She has stopped calling on the land line and calls her father on his cell only. I feel I am no longer a part of their relationship. Several weeks ago when we were in a social situation, she gushed over everything I said. It seems so strange, won't speak to me one on one but is overtly gregarious in public. Her fathers solution is to ignore the situation not mention anything about her to me. The tension is taking its toll on me. What should I do? This has happend before in the past when she lived with us, whenever she had done something wrong, I feel as if she is trying to come between me and her father.
