I have got a '49 Studebaker 1 ton with a flathead 6. Its got a 1 barrel Carter. I put a carb kit in it, which basically consists of a needle, seat and accelerator pump. It will not rev up over 1000 rpms. I am thinking it could be a vacuum leak but I am open to suggestions.

I took a section of grill out when a pheasant went through it yesterday. I have been thinking of putting a grill guard on it but all I can find are these weak little overpriced nerf bars that do nothing. Does anybody make a real grill guard for one or do I have to make one.

How much would the surgery cost?

It runs fine when it is cold but when it gets up to operating temperature it gives me a code saying that the cam position sensor is out of range and it runs like it is out of time. I had a CPS so I swapped it out. It still does the same thing.

I just replaced the engine in my 2002 Forester. The engine runs fine but I am getting multiple DTC's that don't make sense.P0500 vehicle speed sensor malfunction, P1500 Radiator fan relay malfunction, P1590 Neutral position switch circuit high input, P1591 Neutral position switch low input. Every relay is cycling, the fans are kicking on and off , the air conditioner pump clutch is cycling and the Astrostart relay is cycling. Everything is hooked up right since all the wires are modular plugs and only fit one way and as a precaution I labeled everything. Would it be the ECU?

Has anyone else had poor service from this company? I was very disappointed with them.

II have seen a lot of diesel pickups that they put performance chips in to enhance horsepower. I can't say what this does to mpg. I wouldn't think it helps much aside from the fact that it must void the warranty on a $40,000.00 truck.When they get on it the back of the truck disappears in a cloud of black smoke. Also car manufacturers are getting performance out of 4 cylinder gas engines that the old muscle cars use to get in the 60's with gear ratio and massive cubic inches, only now they do it with computers and get mediocre gas mileage.

If they detuned the engines in favor of mpg instead of hp it could make for a lot less gas being used and less emission. The speed limit is only 75mph.
