  • How to get your elderly father-in-law to quit driving?

My father - in -law is 72, with serious health problems, onmany medications and refuses to give up driving. He doesn't want to lose control, and doesn't see himself as impaired at all. We took away the keys, but didn't know he had one hidden in his wallet, and of course he found it and went for a ride today. Fortunately he made it home safely and noone else was injured. Where is the best place to turn for help? Serious answers appreciated. Thanks.

  • What products are out there to help cure walls covered with oil based paint?

My house was built in the 60's and the first owner painted the kitchen walls with a high gloss, oil based paint. The next owner could only wallpaper because all other paints peel right off. I am ready to pull the wallpaper, but would like to be able to paint the walls. They are drywall. What do I need to do once all the wallpaper is removed to cure the walls for priming and painting? Serious answers only please.

  • For Days of Our Lives Fans..?

On Mondays episode, Celeste stated to Sami, "when EJ killed my Lexie...". Did he really kill her? I don't remember seeing anything about her being dead. I remember reading in Soap Opera Digest that she was fired, and she and Tek were leaving the show. I thought they left together in a car, was there an accident? I didn't see the episode where the car was found or anything? Does anyone know?

Thanks loyal fans! Let's keep Days on the air!!!

  • Dandruff help?

I normally have a very healthy scalp, but now that winter is here, it has become very crusty and I have a lot of dandruff. The skin along my hairline is also dried out, but sometimes it becomes bright red and burns just terrible. I have tried about 5 different brands of dandruff shampoo, none are miracles. Why is this happening? What do others do with this condition? Personal experience answers only please, I don't care to reread something I can already find out for myself from a website or a book. Thanks.

  • child who won't eat breakfast?

I have a 3 1/2 yr. old boy who will not eat breakfast. He will drink milk or juice. If I ask him what he wants, he says pudding or fruit snacks. That I won't go for, I try yogurt or fruit instead. I offer many choices during the week, cereals, pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, doughnuts(which he'll eat the frosting off of, not the doughnut) etc. I also have two ohter kids, they both eat what is given to them . I don't want to cater too much to just one child. I need some ideas? He doesn't eat well at any meal, by the way. Eats like a bird and is very picky.

  • Anyone suffering from achilles tendonitis?

I do not know the cause of my injury, but I have had achilles tendonitis for 1 1/2 years. I've tried Alleve, Motrin, and most recently a Medrol pack. I wear a short splint on the ankle at night, heel lifts, and was just given a warrior boot to wear when walking. I went to physical therapy for 3 months, I do stretches, had Ionto therapy, ultrasound therapy, and manual therapy. I hurt like a bugger and have a hard time walking , esp. after sitting or sleeping, until things loosen up.

What kinds of things have you found to provide relief, and how long did your symptoms last? I heard this could take as many as 5 years to heal from my doctor, and surgery is not a good option, nor are cortisone shots, as they'll only weaken the already weakened tendon.

    Serious answers only please. Thanks

  • I have a skunk living in the back yard, How can it get it to leave?

About 3 days ago, a skunk came into my yard, sprayed the dog, ran through the fence and took up residence under my storage building. I called animal control, he set a live trap , and baited it with meat. The skunk is too smart, he has been able to get the meat out 2 nights in a row, and returns under the shed. We now have another live trap set, and no luck last night. I want to know what a good menu would be to entice the skunk into the trap, and any other good methods to get the bugger out! I have a fenced in back yard and would love to send the dog out to play. Thanks!!!

Does it shorten the lenght of the vagina at all? I have to have a hysterectomy done soon and I was wondering about this. Never thought to ask the dr.

  • What is the absolute best solution for washing a dog sprayed by a skunk?

Yesterday, my chocolate lab got sprayed in the face, neck and upper body by a skunk. Wow! I always heard of tomato juice, but that it takes a lot of it. I was told by the neighbor to buy skunk wash from the pet store. I bought something from Simple Solutions called Skunk Odor Eliminator. I followed the directions to a tee, used the whole bottle, but there is still a very strong odor. It also isn't helping that is is rainy out today, because that seems to bring the odor back out.

  • Recipe for coleslaw made with bananas?

My grandmother who passed away, used to make homemade coleslaw. I remember her making the dressing with mayo and milk, she grated cabbage, and don't remember what else she did. I also know there were bananas in it. Anyone else know of that type of recipe?

  • How long does recovery take after a hysterectomy?

I'd like to hear from those who've had it done vaginally as well as abdominally. I had 2 c-sections, is the surgery comparable to that? What are some of the restrictions you faced. I have 2 boys under 4 and my husband is gone out of town for quite awhile. How much help will I need, for how long? I'm wondering how long to put off surgery if I need it now.

  • I was wondering if anyone has a 3 yr. old boy who does not speak well yet?

He talks fairly well to me, but he seems to ramble on in his own language to others. He doesn't seem to have much interest in learning how to say the abc's or words. I know kids have a short attention span, but some kids are so far ahead of him. He appears to have no hearing deficits. What kinds of things worked for you?
