I started Topamax 1 month ago for Migraines at 25 mg 1x a day and per my Neuro's instructions, went up to 100 mg per day over 4 weeks. She said she wanted to see me in 6 weeks but would only give me 4 weeks worth of pills which meant I would run out of the pills and have to abruptly stop taking them. I asked the nurses there about it and the wouldn't really answer me as to if it was safe. So I asked the pharmacist. He replied, "Well, neurologists ARE some of the smartest people on earth". So I called my family doctor and she wouldn't even talk to me about it because she didn't prescribe it for me. So I called the neuro's office back and they wouldn't really give me an answer once again. So today I took my last dose. I don't know what to expect. I don't go back for 2 weeks to see my neuro. It just doesn't seem right to prescribe a medication like Topamax and then have your patient discontinue it suddenly...

I am getting a root canal tomorrow (tuesday) for an abscessed lower molar. The dentist gave me antibiotics on saturday along with percocet, 800 mg Ibuprofen and valium (to calm me before the root canal as I am TERRIFIED of dentists).

Please don't try to scare me but be honest. How bad is this going to be? And should I take the Percocet before the appointment or stop it the night before?

I got hit on the inside of the foot today (like right on the lower bone that sticks out below the inside ankle bone) by a line drive in a softball game. It didn't hurt much at all during the game. After the game, however (5 innings later) I can hardly move it and it hurts to put weight on it. It's not swollen or bruised. It hurts 'inside' the foot. It's not like it hurts where the ball hit, not like a bruise. It's more deep inside the foot that than and it's kind of radiating up my leg now a little. It even hurts to wiggle my toes. Could this be a hairline fracture and should I even bother going to the doctor? They won't do anything for it, right? I know to do R.I.C.E., which I am doing now.

I am about to install one of those easy set pools that rise as you fill it. There is an ever so slight grade in my yard so I want to put a base of sand down and level it out. I think about a 1.5" base would do the trick or maybe even 2". The pool is 16' and the ground cover I believe is 18x18 so I would like the base of sand to be 18'x18'x2". How many 50lb sand bags would I need? Thanks in advance for any help!!

There are a lot of kids in my county in PA who are underprivileged and their parents can't afford for them to play sports. I want to start a program to collect donations for these kids so they can pay for their sports and other activities fees. Can I do that without going through a whole lot of IRS stuff if I claim the donations on my own personal taxes? Or how should I go about this?

About 6 months ago, I had a pretty bad ankle sprain. I would say it was between a grade II and III sprain. I went to the ER, they took X-rays and said nothing was broken and gave me a gel cast and said it should be better soon. I'm still having trouble with it. It hurts when I try to point my foot up and step on something where my foot bends upwards. I went to the orthopedic dr. today and he's sending me for an MRI to rule out a ligament tear. Does that mean he thinks that there is a tear or not? Also he noted on my record that there was joint effusion and crepitus present. What could he be looking for or thinking? He's not a really nice guy, not one to take time to answer any questions you may have...

I started taking prozac about 3 weeks ago and have since developed this thing where my left leg bounces when I am sitting down. And sometimes I can't keep my hands still either. Like especially if I have a pen in my hand...I roll it across my fingers, tap it on the table...etc. I'm sure I drive people nuts. Could it be from the prozac?

How do spiders get their webs across long distances? My neighbor has a shed about 20 feet from my fence. There was one long spider web string going from his shed to my fence about 12 feet off the ground. How does the spider get the web from point A to point B?

I have a weird pain in my knee but only when I stop moving it. It doesn't hurt when I walk or run or go up or down stairs. The pain starts when I stop moving. I haven't injured it in any way that I know of. It's alike a stabbing pain that last for up to 30 seconds and then goes away. Should I get it looked at or wait it out? It only started about 12 hours ago.

What is the best lite browser for XP? I've tried the new firefox and IE 7, both are too heavy and use too many resources. I've tried Opera and Avant, both are lacking in tools. Am I asking too much or is there such a thing and I've just not found it yet? Thanks!

What does everyone think about it? I don't like how you have the drop down menu for apps now. Also, you can't just 'ignore all' when you get the invites. You have to go through them one by one now.
