Since yesterday my immersion heater isn't working. The light isn't coming on on the switch and the water isn't heating. I have oil fired central heating and the water tank is still getting hot with that. Could anyone please give me some idea of what it might be?

He's a single man, working full-time on a low wage. He really struggles with money. His eyesight has deteriorated a lot recently and even with the glasses he's had for years he can't see very well. I worry about him, and that he might be damaging his eyes more wearing glasses that aren't what he needs, but he can't afford to buy prescription glasses. His employer pays for eye tests for employees but the glasses are expensive, especially as he seems to think he needs bifocals.

Does anyone know of a cheaper way to get him glasses?

Any help anybody could offer would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. As much as I'd like to help him I'm on a low wage myself with young children to take care of.

I have a friend on bed rest and she is addicted to this show. I know there are lots more real housewives series' so what others are the best? I'd like to get her some stuff to watch and keep her occupied.

It's the radiator in the spare room and hasn't been turned on for years, but is needed now. It's just a simple on/off knob that will not turn. I've taken the cap off and tried to turn it with pliers but can't budge it. Is there something I can do to fix it easily? I could do without having to get a plumber in at the minute. I was playing it fine earlier, paused and came back to it and now whatever I try to click on anything it just says 'no action available', there's a baby crying and I can't get the sim to pick her up. Buy and build mode work fine. I'm not using any cheat codes, the only one I've used is kaching. I've restarted the game and the computer a few times and it's made no difference. Does anyone know what it might be? I have all the expansion and stuff packs

I just got Sims 3 for Christmas. Got it all installed ok but it seems to be after about 15 minutes of play it just disappears. I'm not getting an error message or anything, it just closes itself down, I'm not using any cheat codes. Does anyone have any idea of what could be causing this? I really want to play the game properly

I'm just getting over the flu, now since yesterday morning I've had what feels a lot like trapped wind, pain in my ribs and both sides of my lower stomach and back. The only thing that relieves it at all is vomitting and that eases it for about 10 minutes, I don't make myself sick, it comes on it's own.

So far I've tried peppermint tea, extra strong mints, Gaviscon, Windease, Pepto Bismol, Baking soda in water, a hot bath, hot water bottle, boiled water with a spoonful of sugar, massaging my stomach, have tried lying in all different positions, nothing is helping at all.

Does anyone know of anything besides these things that might ease it? It really is driving me crazy. Thank you in advance

My daughter wants them for Christmas but I don't understand what they're all about. I've bought her the 4 cubes from series 1. If I get the series 2 ones can they all interact together? Or can you just play with the ones within their own series'?

I've got quite a few I want to keep. I have PC Suite, I can view messages through it when my phone is connected, but can't see a way to save them.

It's a Nokia N73 and I have a USB cable.

I realise this is probably a stupid question....but no harm in asking. My brother was trying to 'fix' a minor problem with my phone, did a factory restore thing on it and everything's gone. All my photos, numbers - some that can't be replaced, special text messages...the whole lot! Is there any way this can undone?

Seen it in an American recipe, trying to work out what it is. Anyone?
