I'm looking at several years in a non-climate controlled storage unit. I have several oil paintings and a couple of water colors. Will they survive in that environment, say, in a plastic bag within a cardboard box? How should they be stored?

Luer openings are tiny, and I would like to use them in a liquid flow circuit, but they are substantially smaller than my tubing ID. So, I'm wondering about the pressure head that will develop in realtionship to the large flow rates that I desire.

I really want a specific blazer that I found, but it only comes in 42 regular and my size is 40 long. I'm wondering if it will look funny when tailored to fit me?

I'm curious about those old style submarines and their large caliber machine guns mounted on the deck. How did they keep them from rusting away after repeated dunks in sea water? Did they have to saturate them with oil/grease upon surfacing and prior to firing?

I'm just curious- if a grenade were to land near you and you had no time to run or to grab it and throw it away, would lying prone help you avoid the effect of the blast?

I'm looking at a 99 Subaru Outback, w/108k miles for $5000.00.

When I look underneath, there doesn't appear to be oil pooling on the ground, but looking up at the engine, I can see a couple of fresh drops on what looks to be the housing from which the belt wheels originate. I only want to get about 2 years out of the vehicle, yet hate gambling that the engine won't blow a gasket or something. Any tips?

I undestand that they operate on the principle of compression- the vanes compress air, fuel is injected and ignited = boom. My question is this- water is incompressible, so how does a heavy rain affect a jet engine?
