  • How do I keep Bing.com from changing my company to theirs when I have yahoo?  ?

  • Do you have a Christmas Fact to share no one else may know on Answers?

I thought it would be fun to pass around some interesting facts about Christmas that others may not know so if you know something unique about the Christmas Holiday please share it with the rest of us on Yahoo Answers. Please remember that if you cannot share anything poositive do not share anything at all. Thank you.

For starters: I just read that the three states in America that will most likely have snow at Christmas are Michigan, Minnesota and Maine. They all start with M for Merry Christmas.

  • Do you know of any photos of Doris Day in her western outfit singing "Once I had a secret love"?

In the Musical Movie Calamity Jane, Doris Day (Calamity) finally finds out she is in love with Bill Hickock and in the very next scene she comes out of her cabin in a tan western outfit and gets on her (I think pinto or palomino) horse and rides out towards town. She stops and sings "Once I had a secret love." I'm looking for any picture or photo of her in that outfit. If you know of a site that has her dressed in it please let me know. I've looked for a few hours on everything that comes up and so far she is in the other western getup that she is in for most of the movie but I've not been able to find her in that outfit. If anyone wants to help look or knows a site already I'd appreciate the informaiton. Thanks.

  • Anyone want to see if the Browne & Ashley Tea Co. even exists and whether they still make teas?

Questions have already been asked on this site.. one by Mrs. Huffman.. to find Browne & Ashley Tea Co. I found this out because I have an old wooden box from this company so I was looking on the web to find some tea containers from this company to place in this wooden box and found several Answers questions about their teas. I purchased a wooden box years ago at a yard sale because I thought it would be nice to put in my kitchen which I've since remodled. At the top of the box in cursive lettering it says "Browne & Ashley Tea Co." Someone is also selling one on Ebay like mine so here is a site with the pic of what I have... http://www.ebay.com/itm/WOOD-WOODEN-BROWNE-ASHLEY-... I am looking also for some kind of containers to put into this box for display (preferably tea containers that did go in the box in the first place so I can give it to my daughter who is into teas a lot and collects tea things.) If you have any ideas please let me know. I also cannot find the company itself and it isn't listed in Wikipeida since I've checked there also, so at this point there is no one to contact to find anymore about this box. I did find some forums about teas made by this company but so far nothing about this company or any of their teas. Thanks for any information. Sometimes others can find things you can't just because they may list it in the search differently so if you are game for searching I'm sure that Mrs. Huffman would also like an answer to the question she asked as well besides the answer that was listed which was for her to just do a search herself. I've been searching all morning and still haven't found the company. One site I found the box for sale on also has it listed as 'vintage' so maybe it's antique and the company doesn't exist anymore but then why isn't it listed in Wikipedia or any other Encyclopedia just for information knowledge on the company itself and who and what it was all about and if it is out of business? If you want to give it a try to see if you can come up with anything please do. Thanks.

  • What is your pet peeve invention?

In other words, what iinvention out there though it is a good one makes more problems and takes more out of you then it is worth having sometimes. For me it is HANGERS. They tangle, wrap themselves around each other, get messed up even when hanging with clothes on them. You try to get one off the rack and 20 come with it or it snags on a few of them and the entire bunch comes crashing down. Then try to pick just one up.... hahaha. You can't be civilized in actions or words with that invention. It's the best invention for helping you LOOSE YOUR COOL in my opinion. What's Yours???

  • Where do you go in Yahoo to restore your Answers Icon in your tool bar?

On my big computer I went to go into Answers and found the Icon missing. Then the same day the computer had issues too so I just figured the Icon was part of the issues. I'm now on my laptop and the Icon was there yesterday when I used it but this morning it is also missing on this laptop? Is anyone having issues with their Yahoo Answers Icon... the green one with the snowflake in the center that gets you automatically into the Answers home page? Does anyone have any ideas how to restore it? It must be issues other than both my laptops for it to just disappear. When I check the the customize section it tells me that the Icon is already a part of my icons so it wasn't deleted by me. Thanks for any help.

  • Americans, have you ever read something you would like everyone else to know about?

This Article was sent to me by a friend. It is worth reading and passing on to the rest of America.

"One Light Bulb at a Time"

A physics teacher in high school, once told the students that while one

grasshopper on the railroad tracks wouldn't slow a train very much, a billion of

them would. With that thought in mind, read the following, obviously written by

    a good American ......

Good idea ......One light bulb at a time .......

Check this out ...... I can verify this because I was in Lowes the other day for

some reason and just for the heck of it, I was looking at the hose attachments.

They were all made in China . The next day I was in Ace Hardware and just for

the heck of it, I checked the hose

attachments there. They were made in USA . Start looking.

In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do affects

someone else - even their job. So, after reading this email, I think this lady

is on the right track. Let's get behind her!

My grandson likes Hershey's candy. I noticed, though, that it is marked made in

Mexico now. I do not buy it any more.

My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico . Now I have switched to

Crest. You have to read the labels on everything.

This past weekend I was at Kroger. I needed 60 W light bulbs and Bounce dryer

sheets. I was in the light bulb aisle, and right next to the GE brand I

normally buy was an off-brand labeled, "Everyday Value". I picked up both types

of bulbs and compared the stats -

They were the same except for the price .... The GE bulbs were more money than

the Everyday Value brand but the thing that surprised me the most was the fact

that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in - get ready

for this - the USA in a company in Cleveland, Ohio.

So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day that are

    made right HERE.

So on to another aisle - Bounce Dryer Sheets ..... Yep, you guessed it, bounce

cost more money and is made in Canada . The Everyday Value brand was less money

and MADE IN THE USA ! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed

just like the Bounce Free I have been using for years and at almost half the

    price!

My challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday

things and see what you can find that is made in the USA - the job you save may

be your own or your neighbors!

If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your address book so we

can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time! Stop buying from

    overseas companies!

(We should have awakened a decade ago...... )

Let's get with the program ...... Help our fellow Americans keep their jobs and

    create more jobs here in the U . S . A .!!!

I Passed this on ......... Will you ???????

  • Why does the Yahoo Answers Team always use premade answers?

I answer all the time on Yahoo Answers but you can always tell when the Yahoo Team is answering because all their answers are the exact same thing and always end with 'and keep using answers.com'. Its like they copy and paste the same exact answer no matter what is asked. One of them even calls eveyone dear no matter who is asking. How many of you out there would like to see the Yahoo Answers Team be as spontaneous as the rest of us with our answers and answer people from their experience and from their hearts vs from a preset mode?

  • Do you currently have a real online paying job and if so how did you find it and know that it would be legit?

I would like to find a good paying online job because since the 'nice, elderly' gengleman hit me broadside and rolled my van, I have not been able to drive or do much activity so I'm looking for a good sit down home job that can bring in some spending money for myself. Please answer only if you have a good job or know how to acquire one, and include websites too. Thanks.

  • I need a recipe for Peach Jam that uses fruit juice instead of sugar or sweeteners.?

It can be canned or freezer jam but it must be like the Smuckers All Fruit Jams are, where they use pear juice to replace the sugar or artificial sweeteners. Also, I need a complete recipe please. I've searched the web several times and found nothing so far. Please do not give jelly recipes, but some jam recipes allow you to substitute different fruits for the same recipe so if you have one that is for a berry jam like strawberry, I'm sure it would work. Thank you.
