My pond is just outside my bedroom and there are so many frogs making so much noise I can hardly sleep. I read that if you spread coffee grounds around they will leave bc they dont like the caffiene, plus its good fertilizer for your plants. I did that and 2 days later, my perfectly healthy koi fish went belly up. I dont think any of the coffee grounds could have gotten in the water, but if they did, would eating this kill my fish?

Im trying to buy the TALKING GUITAR version of "Do You Feel Like I do?" and I can only find the 'live' version which DOES NOT HAVE the talking guitar. I bought it from Itunes thinking it was the one and it is NOT so I got ripped off. Amazon sells the same one. Anybody know where it can be had? I will buy the CD if necc. but the CD does not specify that it is the talking guitar version and I dont want to waste my money AGAIN. (Thanks Itunes)

Ive searched Yahoo Help and posted an emailed request but they dont answer me! For the past 5 years, Ive had my account set to require password login screen every 15 minutes. This is to protect my account in case I walk away from my computer and someone else sat down. About 3 weeks ago, I accidentally logged in with the checkmark in the box that says "Keep Me Logged In for 2 Weeks"......and now I cant get back to the prefered 15minutes! I tried resetting it and the only option they now allow is Log Out after 1 (ONE) Day.....or 2 weeks!!! I reset it to the 1 day option, but it doesnt even do THAT..........I have to physically log out everytime I walk away from my computer! HELP!!!

when I make a post to a news story, it doesnt show up for awhile and then later when I want to see what other people replied, I cant find my post w/out searching through 100s of them. How can I see my posts and replys?

Whats the etiquette? Should profiles be deleted once a relationship is established? Spent about 6 months chatting, emailing and meeting for dinner/drinks with this guy I met on a dating site who I thought was very sweet and funny. He emailed me everyday, and if I didnt email back he would ask me why I hadnt.....it was clear he wanted to be in touch. I felt safe letting myself start to care for this guy. There was a definate sexual chemistry, but we never had a opportunity to explore it beyond just kissing and sorta making out. I was looking forward to what I thought would be a great thing. I guess I had a little crush, and it seemed he did too.

Then one weekend we had this chance to spend 2 days (and the night in between) together. I was nervous but excited. He canceled the overnight stay at the last minute, saying he had to work. Then he blew off stopping by my house on the way home the next day, this time using some family illness excuse. It all seemed strange to me, this sudden reversal........so I dont know what made me think of it, but I logged back onto the site where we had met. I had deleted my profile 3 days after we met face to face (which was 3 months after we started talking)...........for me, I had met someone I was interested in and i had no time or interest in that site anymore. To my sickening shock........i discovered that he was still not only on that site, but had logged in as recently as 2 days ago.......the day he HAD been planning to spend the night with me!

I cant even imagine how horrible I would have felt if Id discovered he was still looking on that site if I had slept with him that night. I feel like I dodged an huge bullet. I said goodbye, dont contact me again and let him know why. He replied that it wasnt a big deal and that it was none of my business when or if he checked that site out. WTF?

What are the rules here? If you meet someone and it gets going well.........is it still cool to be back on the site checking to see if something better comes along?

If I purchase a full album (CD) from a store and have the disk in my hand, I can copy that disk and share it with others who can import it to their itunes library. So why cant I share songs from an entire album purchased digitally in Itunes? Whats their argument for that? I either own the album or I dont. Why must I drive to the store to buy a disk to be able to share it / import it as owned music. (I know I can burn digitally downloaded music to a disk that will play for anyone, but they cannot import that music to their itunes unless I copy an actual disk for them)

When typing, its hard to avoid accidentally touching the blue button in center of key board which causes typing errors, skips and places new text in the middle of previous sentences. I never use that button for anything, and not even sure why they still have it!! How can I DISABLE that button and just use the touchpad mouse?

I know the airlines claim the reason you cannot operate cell phones and "electronic devices" while the plane is flying bc they supposedly could interfere with the navigational systems. However, many in the telecommunications industry (and others) dispute this as an excuse to force you to use the airline's own (obviuosly wireless) seat-back phones at upwards of $2.00 a minute. They've been talking about letting ppl use their cell phones in flight already, there is such a demand (and many of us dread the idea of listening to obnoxiuos chatter for 3 hours straight and would just as soon prefer they DONT allow it). Ok so.....right now, if you whipped out your cell phone and made a call during flight, someone is going to come drag you out of your seat and throw you off the plane at the next stop. BUT.......what if you have a wireless broadband card in your laptop.....how would they know (or notice) if you were quietly surfing the internet at 35,000 feet?

I just read Bruce Bs question "Does this confuse anyone but me?" and I couldnt answer but it made me want to ask something that Ive always wondered about gays. Im not gay, so maybe I'LL get crucified for this, but Id like some valid answers for my 5 points.

I dont understand why it is that gay men, who do not find women sexually attractive, adopt effeminate mannerisms and speak with exaggerated feminine voices and essentially ACT like women? The same applys to lesbian women that go to far extremes to mask their femininity. If they dont like men, why do they try to appear as one? I know that this does not pertain to ALL gays, and perhaps is a stereotype but you have to admit...it IS noticibly common. So why is this?

Years ago I had some friends who were lesbians and I remember them sniping each other behind their backs about ""she dresses so straight"" like that was some homo-unspoken rule-broken offense. Obviuosly theres some peer-pressure in the gay community to conform?

I dont want to sound mean, but why are so many poor people or lower income people so FAT? Is it that they lack money to buy healthly foods or that they lack education about how to live a more healthy life? Does this lead to people believing that people are poor because they are lazy because it is easy to assume that fat people are lazy? Any idiot knows that being overweight is bad for you, so lacking the ivy league education is no excuse. And a plate of salad is just as available and cheap as a big mac, so it comes down to choice. If you look back in history, being fat was associated with WEALTH. Poor people were skinny and under nourished, royalty were fat and happy. Now this trend has reversed.....rich people somehow manage to stay skinny, and poor people get fatter by the moment. Whats going on?

I like hiking, scuba, snorkel, fishing, relaxing on the beach, exploring, nature, rainforest, critters, biking, (any or all of these ok) and freedom from crowds or any sort of organized tour group. I want to explore and discover a destination on my own with no time commitments. Ilike to interact with locals. I like great local food and drinks and no camping. Already been to ; Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico (all over) Belize, St Thomas, Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Bonaire, Bahamas, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Spain. Looking for suggestions not just of what country, but also of places to stay and stuff to do.

I know thats a loopback used by antivirus software. How do I stop it from resetting to that everytime i reboot the computer?

Something is actually CHEWING UP bromeliads, tearing out the center part and eating the soft inside & bottom part. At first I thought maybe snails or slugs because Ive never heard of anything eating bromeliads before. But you can see teeth marks. The same something rooted up a crinum lilly in same area of garden but didnt eat it. I know armadillos will root stuff up but they do not eat plants. The garden is in a rural scrub area so I also thought it might be hogs. But set a trap last night with lettuce and overripe tomatos and caught a raccoon. I still cant believe the raccoon is responsible for the bromeliads though, and I bet removing him from my yard will not solve this problem. I think he might have just been unlucky to pass by last night. He certainly looked innocent LOL. Any suggestions?

My mom got a computer. Shes 91. Im teaching her. Set up msn dial-up as her ISP and email. Problem is, her neighbors have unsecured wireless network and her computer immediately connects to it on startup. (Why cant I get so lucky?) Anyway, its confusing her and Im trying to keep it as simple as I can. I tried explaining to her that she should use the wireless connection whenever it was available bc its so much faster than her dial up and doesnt take her phone line, but then the stupid MSN sign in window keeps popping up insisting that she sign in to the dial up account, and thats getting her all flustered. Its alot for a 91 yr old to tackle, poor thing. Any suggestions?

I have 4 POP3 email accounts and the correct outgoing server should be for example mail.bellsouth.net but every morning I have to go and physically change it back to that from the 127.0.0.1 that it resets itself to each time i turn computer on.
