Can anyone tell me who made a skillet?
It is 12 inches across - no maker on it . Just a 12 on the bottom and an A on the handle.
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoDoes our government really want save money in this country or just make empty rhetoric?
Lets be honest - Congress & media pundits talk about it but then
they start on .....oh that idea is too small or we have to slash Social
Security (which seems to be a scare tactic to get elderly people behind
doing nothing)
Here is a starting point to consider........
We should cut Congress salaries to nil..... they just want to "serve"-
That is the rhetoric we listen to every 2 years - so let them serve our
needs not line their pockets .
We need to do away with their expense accounts - put them in
military dorm type housing ,take away the big cars -shuttle buses
to sessions would be cost efficient Their private or chartered planes
would have to go - commercial flights for all. .
If they own a plane & use it great - but don't charge the American people
for its upkeep or fuel - because we are paying for the bus.
How about getting tools at Sears ,Lowe's or Home Depot - no reason
the American tax payer should pay $800 for a pipe wrench.
My budget is tight so like many I cut the small things first.
Many Congress members are worth millions why should we pay
and pay and pay for their "willingness to serve" while they rack up
contacts and connections that make them more ?
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoAnyone believe people were taken advantage by banks & credit cards so badly that government has to rescue us?
Lets be honest if it wasn't for the government telling the banks
to give people loans for houses beyond their means those
people won't need "protected by that same government"
As for credit cards - yeah they are easy to get but you know
if you can't afford to buy that big screen tv,
I heard interviews of people that knew they couldn't afford that
$60,000 - $250,000 home but they took it because they could -
sounds lame
7 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoI feel like a politician - I haven't read the bill just watched a Democratic strategist explaining it?
So she said "Children of illegals" that had no choice as they were
brought here by their parent/parents would be given a chance of
citizenship after 2 years of college or 2 years of military service
if they are under 16.
Sounds good on the surface - BUT lets be honest they can't stay
in the US by themselves. Democrats aren't expecting them to be
parent-less minors wondering the streets homeless after school
so there will have to be some safe guards for their caregivers .
And who is paying for college if they decide against the military?
What if they flunk out or quit after the first year? Get discharged
for some reason before the 2 years?
These are things that need & should be addressed
before a vote - not after like every other bill this year has
been.

My fridge needed dust removed & cleaned around the fan - so did that.
Should it keep running quietly?
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoIf Rhode Island immigration laws have been working for years - why all the stink over Arizona?
Is it due to...
1) Arizona is in the western part of the US & closer to the border
2) Their Governor is Republican
3) Obama isn't aware that other states have laws on their books
that mirror the federal law
4) The federal law is to be ignored when it contradicts much needed
votes
According to the article in the Boston Globe - Rhode Island's
Governor signed their law in 2008 - guess it was a slow news week
and the Congress and Obama missed that one
3 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoFun political opinion question?
Which of these (made up) books would you give a new politician?
Why?
1) How to spot the best lobbyist for you at 200 yards
2) The New Age Thesaurus/500 ways to say the same thing
but never really answer the question
3) Who's who when it comes to slinking out of a scandal
4) My votes can be swayed & my constituents will never know
5) If the media loves me - nothing else matter
This is for fun ....So stay so what polite.
3 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoCongressional Budget Office figures & the HealthCare bill?
If the Congressional Budget Office can just give proposed estimates -
such as
1) 23 million people will still be uninsured by 2019
2) The cost of over $900 Billion might be on the low side
3) If you don't carry insurance - the IRS will fine you -
because fines will be based on a percentage of your income
4) 94% of Americans will be insured by 2019
( seems to contradict to #1 but CBO states both)
Why are they quoted so often ?
4 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoHow many really pay attention to the news - Are we (the US) still in Iraq?
Just wondering how many people believe we are out of Iraq
4 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoObama is going to do another executive order to fund a program that Congress voted against - He said in SOTU?
The democrats voted against the funding - so what was
it for ? What is this executive order going to cover?
I watched the State of the Union - have seen it replayed
on the news in clips but missed what the issue is about.
What is really confusing me is aren't they all Democrats -
they have the majority (House & Senate ) and still voted
against it - so Obama just ignores them and literally goes
over their heads and does whatever he want by executive order?
Seems a bit -%&*- can't think of a good word.
So it just seems plain out and out wrong......to me
Opinions?
11 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoMust be a political thing - you can order a freeze in spending while proposing spending bills?

Would one lousy tax cut focused on Small Business -
really bankrupt the country?
1 AnswerCurrent Events1 decade agoRobert Gibbs on Fox - anyone know where to get a transcript of the interview - I couldn't of heard him right?
The Scott Brown's win in Massachusetts was due to the fact voters want
the current Health Care bill - is what I thought he said but I would really
like to read over the transcript to get a clear picture.
2 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoI can't watch any more on news out of Haiti -- Where is the compassion for your fellow human being?
On the local news today - they were showing news clips out of Haiti.....
Garbage trucks picking up the dead with garbage , garbage truck drivers
that have no idea how many bodies they are carrying or any idea who
those poor souls are.
Just pick them up , load them with garbage and dump them in an open pit
for mass burial - it just seems so crass
19 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoAl Sharpton on Hannity ? He is offended by Bill Clinton's remarks but defends Harry Reid?
Im confused - but at least Sharpton say he is offended by "***** dialect"
but he was more offended by Imus because Imus was a "national pundit"
while Harry Reid is merely a senator.
Does that even make sense? I have to stop flipping through channels -
Im going back to the Weather Channel.
1 AnswerCurrent Events1 decade agoNancy Pelosi & 19 Senators went to Denmark on your dime - costing hundreds of thousands ? Do you even care?
These Senators were both Dems and Reps , they took the spouses and even
a child . They took 3 jets, stayed at 5 star hotels and had limos all while talking
about the effects of global warming. Ironic ?
There is who went.......
Democrats - Pelosi, Hoyer, Rangel, Waxman, Miller, Markey, Gordon, Levin,
Blumenauer, DeGette, Inslee, Ryan, Butterfield, Cleaver, Giffords
Republicans - Barton, Upton, Moore Capito, Sullivan, Blackburn , Sensenbrenner
Sound a bit far fetched ? Truth is stranger than fiction sometimes.
Check out the CBS report...........
8 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoSome Senators got "extras" for their votes on health care - what did the unions get?
Just wonder how this health care package is to be equal for all Americans ......
when it seems like the only ones benefiting are special interest groups

Personally , I think Washington needs to tighten their belts and watch their wallets.
I don't care if they are Dem or Rep - they were wrong and need to go......soon

12 AnswersElections1 decade agoSen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska -Do you approve of his deal?
Nelson secured a provision for Nebraskans that will require the federal government to permanently pay the entire cost of Medicaid expansion in his state, while paying the costs of expansion in the other 49 states for just three years.
Was your state this special?
