  • Audacity Program - How to increase the Db of input signal?

When I use Audacity I have to first capture the file and then go back and use the amplify feature to increase the sound level. Is there a way to set Audacity so that it will increase the db as it is first capturing the sound file from my cassette or CD player? This would save me so much time...

  • Collecting money from clients?

I have a maintenance company where I do small repairs on rental properties. Unfortunately some of the clients feel they can take months to pay. I need to be able to take a credit card number or have them PayPal me before I do the job and somehow reserve slightly more money than what I think the job will cost. Then after completing the job collect only the amount needed to cover the final bill and either release or return the funds that were not used. How is the best way to do this?

  • Radiator coolant fluid leak??????????????

We have a 1999 Chevrolet Express 1500 van with a 5.7 engine. I have noticed the coolant in the reservoir has occasionally gone down dramatically to empty within one day. However it does not do it all the time.

Friday I drove to the next city over and then made 30 to 60 minute stops throughout the day and returned back home. I check the level twice while on the trip and then again Saturday morning after it had set all night. The reservoir did not lose any fluid. I probably put on about 120 miles that day.

Later Saturday, I took the van on two short trips in my town and that was it. I did not drive it Sunday at all. Monday morning the reservoir was completely empty. I can see some signs of fluid on the bottom of the engine.

  • Excel 2007 Formula Help...?

I just designed an Excel 2007 Workbook and I can't get a formula to work. After spending 4 hours trying to get the formula to work, I thought I would throw it out-there to see what you think.

Column B has dates of bank transactions from cell B3 thru B300

Column F has bank deposits made on the corresponding dates shown in column B in Cells F3 thru F300.

Cell D301 has a number 1 in it to represent January

Cell D302 has a number 2 in it to represent February

The cells further down have a 3 thru 12 to represent all the other months of the year.

I have been trying to enter a formula in Cell F301 that finds all the transactions that occurred in January and totals them in that cell.

The formula I have been trying is returning a #VALUE! error.

Here is the formula I have been working with (I had to break it up on two lines here to get it to show completely):

    =SUM(IF(MONTH(B3:B300)

    =D301,F3:F300,0))

I also tried it this way since I saw an example similar, but it didnot work either:

    {=SUM(IF(MONTH(B3:B300)

    =D301,F3:F300,0))}

There seems to be a problem with the (B3:B300), but I am not sure. When I begin to analyze it, it says there will be an error on the next step. Step #1.

I did download this data from the banks website as a CSV file and then pasted it into the worksheet.

I am wondering if it has something to do with the formatting of all the dates in column B. I tried formatting to different date presentations.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance…………..

  • pioneer stereo installation help- How to make it so I can make Bluetooth cell calls while moving?

I am going to purchase a Pioneer AVH-p3300BT stereo to install in the back part of in a 24 ft motor home. It is Bluetooth capable and I want passengers to be able to make calls while moving down the road. The specifications say that the stereo touch screen for outgoing cell calls is disabled during driving. How can I bypass this feature so that the touch pad will work while moving? Pioneer will not tell me because of liability issues, but they hinted that it is possible.

Here is a pdf from Pioneers web site and I see a wiring digram around page 77.

  • Help with PC invoicing software?

Need help choosing PC software. I want to go laptop and mobile with my invoicing. Currently I do all my invoicing by hand on the carbon copy invoice books from Walmart. Here is what I want to do: I want my wife to be able to create a work order on her desktop that can be loaded or transmitted to my laptop. I then will do the job adding work details, product, pricing and labor fees. I want the software to convert the work order to an invoice which includes the work details performed but only comes up with 4 figures on the invoice pricing: 1 - total for parts used, 2 - service call fee, 3 - labor fee, 4 – total due for the job ( items 1, 2 and 3 added together). I want to print the invoice on a mobile printer to give to my customer and conclude the process by showing payments or money due and somehow updating all this back on the desktop. Any help is greatly appreciated…
