I'm missing something in my understanding of how exactly I ought to go about counting stitches when executing a repetitive pattern. as in this diagonal lace pattern: http://media.wendyknits.net/media/diagonallacesock...

i.e I'm working the diagonal lace pattern (or attempting to)

I have the 33 stitches on each needle (for the medium sock)

I initiate the medium lace chart pattern row one, I can continue this through the next two, but I seem to run out of stitches by the time I get to the 4th time of knitting the pattern. I purl, knit, yo (where it appears one stitch from the base turns into 2..if I understand the concept correctly). I get to the ssk (where two stitches turn into 1 on the right needle..If I'm understanding it correctly). then I proceed to knit the next four stitches. seemingly this is no problem, until I'm asked to repeat this pattern a fourth time and well I'm not left with enough stitches on my left needle to complete even the pattern and purl for the end. Am I not counting something correctly or misunderstanding how to work it? I tried a simpler pattern and anytime I get a k2tog, or ssk (I'm using more stitches than the allotted 8 or whatever the particular pattern calls for). It's like in this particular pattern ssk seems to take up the 4th and 5th available stitches in the 8 stitch pattern (then I use 9 per pattern and run out when I get to the 4th repetition...)

please help, I really want to learn to do this, I just am trying to do a swatch so I can get it down and get back to socks.

Normally I just add water, but was wondering if I could dissolve some borax in the water and add that to the steamer....Have you ever done this??? I will be using it for mildew removal from the grout above the tub.

The other day an unusual white cat (with orangish ears and tail) cam upon my property. I didn't get a great feeling about it/metaphysical like. When I turn on the computer, I keep getting the message that yahoo messenger has closed unexpectedly and has loaded the plug-ins in safe mode.

Prior to this I was having the messenger crash and have to close. So I unistalled and reinstalled and I am still having a problem (written above). Do you know what's going on and what I can do about it?

It is difficult to tell, I don't think you have the entire address and it seems like many different cities/districts in the state of rajasthan.
