  • Has anyone ever had a hand stamp tattooed on?

I went to the Paul McCartney concert last night and got a small blue star stamped on the inside of my right wrist. I had such a great time that I want to have it on there forever. Is it possible to tattoo a hand stamp? How well can it be replicated?

  • Does this type of water bottle/coffee mug exist?

I would like a small water bottle that is insulated for hot/cold drinks, completely leak-proof and dishwasher and microwave safe. Obviously, it would need to be plastic rather than steel. Have you seen anything like this anywhere?

  • Can you help me with my food processor problem?

I am eating healthy these days and bought a food processor to help me make soups, salads, sauces, etc. I've seen the chefs on TV throw ingredients or cooked soups into food processors, push a button and puree everything quickly. I tried to make my first sauce a few days ago, a marinade with herbs and vinegar and such, and when I turned the food processor on, the ingredients quickly flew to the outside of the bowl and refused to be chopped. I scooped it all back to the middle and tried again, but none of the ingredients came together or were even chopped a little bit. Is my food processor broken? Am I doing it wrong? Or is a blender just a better appliance for the job? Thanks!

  • Powder for acne-prone sensitive skin?

I don't wear a lot of makeup because I have sensitive skin and it always makes me break-out. But I do like to use a little powder now and then. Have you found any good powders for sensitive skin or any that are specifically made for acne-prone skin?

  • Can you help me with a sticky family situation?

My in-laws recently had a family picture taken. It was a big deal, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law worked hard to coordinate it and it was obviously very important to them. Now they are asking if we would like to order a picture. I have always been creeped out by family photos and never hang them up in my home. I even kept a family photo of my own entire family in my bedroom closet for several years, even though it was a Christmas gift from my mom. I have been avoiding the issue until now, but have just received an email from my sister-in-law and don't see how to avoid it any longer. I feel like they, and maybe other family members, will be upset or offended if we don't get a photo. My husband doesn't care if we get one or not. No one has told me how much one would be, although I believe that the last time we had a family photo taken, my mother-in-law paid for all of the photos that people ordered of the big family shot. Should I just order a photo to be nice and avoid offending anyone, even though it will just get put away in the closet? Or should I just be honest and hope for the best? Or should I just try to face my fear of family photos (slightly joking here) and hang it up anyway? Thanks for reading this huge thing.

  • Do you have a Blackberry Pearl Flip?

I have had the Blackberry Pearl for two years and I love the size and the smartphone feel of it. But the keys are all broken, probably because they are just exposed. My sister had the exact same problem. So I'm wondering if it would be worth it to get the Blackberry Pearl Flip. Does the flip style protect the keys? Or are they just crappy to begin with? Are there any other bad things about the Blackberry Pearl Flip that I should know before getting one? Is it exactly the same as the Pearl besides the flip style? Thanks!

  • Can you help me with my labor day shortcake?

I am making shortcake for a labor day party. I have fresh peaches, raspberries and blackberries and I'm going to buy shortcake cups and let everyone make their own with the fruit of their choice.

My first question is, how should I prepare the fruit? Should I just serve it fresh? Should I marinate it in sugar? Should I cook it into a sauce? I don't know how each fruit would work best. If I make a sauce, do I just cook it with sugar and cornstarch?

My second question is, what would make a unique topping? I'm going to get some whip cream for the non-adventurous people, but I'd like to have another topping that is a little more exotic as well. What about yogurt? What exactly is creme fresh?

I know that is a lot of questions, thank you for your help!

  • When you are applying for a job online, do you include a cover letter?

When applying for jobs on Craigslist, I normally just give a cover-letter style introduction in the email body and attach my resume. Should I be attaching a separate cover letter as well? Does it depend on the style of the job posting and their specifications? I am applying in a wide range of fields from business to customer service to child care.

  • Which apartment would you choose?

My husband and I are moving to a new apartment in the same area, mainly to save money. Originally we also wanted an apartment with more square footage and possibly an additional bedroom. We have two apartments to choose from and have to decide within 24 hours. Our current apartment is $905/month, with 234 sq ft in the living room and 197 sq ft in the bedroom. Our location is good, urban, close to public transportation, small food markets, parks, etc (safety is not an issue here or at either apartment). Tell me which of the following apartments you would choose, and if you feel like it, tell me why as well.

(If you don't want to read all of the descriptions, here is a summary: Apartment A is a large unit in an older building with an amazing view. Apartment B is like living in a hotel-nice, but small and has a brilliant location, but no view)

    Apartment A:

    $795/month

Large living room (350 sq ft)

Two small bedrooms (103 sq ft and 78 sq ft for a total of 181 sq ft)

    Pros:

    -Size

-Amazing mountain and city view, 13th floor

    Cons:

-Building is 15-20 years old and is need of minor repair, but the apartment unit has new carpet and tile, new paint.

-Location is a little less convenient than what we have now

    -Coin-op laundry in building

-Light on amenities, has a fitness center but nothing else.

    Apartment B

    $779/month

Living room, slightly smaller than what we have now (165 sq ft)

Bedroom, about the same as what we have now (197 sq ft)

    Pros:

Building is 3 years old and in perfect condition, apartment looks brand new, has jetted tub, modern kitchen, feels like a high class hotel suite.

Location is amazing-stores, restaurants, cafes within two blocks, parks three blocks

    Washer/Dryer in unit

Full amenities including hot tub, club house, basketball and tennis courts, business center.

    Cons:

    Size

Courtyard view, fourth floor, not a lot of natural light

  • What are some creative ways to travel with jewelry?

I am leaving for vacation in two days and I don't have time to shop for a jewelry roll or travel jewelry box. Any ideas for creating one with stuff from around the house? I have some crafting skills, but no sewing machine or anything like that. I just need space for a couple of necklaces, bracelets and pairs of earrings and way to keep them from tangling.

  • Where's the cool shopping in Southern California?

I'm visiting Southern California next week. I've been Rodeo Drive before and I didn't care much for it. I would really like to visit some areas that have a lot of great vintage stores, cool independent labels, stuff like that. Can you point me to the street or area?

  • Help me with alcohol and calories!?

So, I have found a light beer that I like, but I'm confused about wine and hard liquor. Are there "light" choices in these categories or should I stick with light beer when I drink and am watching calories?
