On a "Yahoo image search" results page, I used to be able to hover over a picture and it would get bigger and show the link to it. It no longer does this. You have to click on it to find the link. This started a few days ago. I'm using Firefox with Windows 8.

A lot of stores that I use online take forever to load pages. A few of them are Home Depot, Lowe's, Target, Walmart and Amazon. Amazon is by far the worst. Other than a bunch of stores, my computer works perfect.

This happens on 2 computers in my home. Is it the websites, or do I need to change settings on my computer?

I have windows 8, and I am the administrator. I downloaded a program today and did not like it, so I uninstalled it. Now in my "program data" file, I found 3 items that I can't delete (bitguard, browser protect & browser manager). I get a pop up that says I need administrator permission. Also, there is a bunch of items in my temp folder that I can't delete. I tried every thing in user accounts, and restored my system to an earlier date. nothing worked. I am the administrator, so why can't I get rid of these items.

I just purchased a used Acer netbook. The specs say that it came with XP. When I turn it on, it goes to the Ubuntu desktop. I'm very familiar with XP, but don't have a clue how this works. I can't find the programs, but if XP is still there, I would like to switch to it.

firefox just updated to version 17.0, and the add-on "tab mix plus" will not work with it. Now if I have multiple tabs open, and I close one, it goes to the tab on the left instead of the last tab that was open. How can I change this.

I have Firefox 3.6.18. There is 1 bookmark that won't delete. I tried renaming it and also put it in a new folder, and tried to delete the folder. It won't go away. All the other bookmarks will delete if I wanted them to. Any ideas?

When I do a search, and then click on a link, a dialog box opens that says "you have chose to open (site name) which is an application, What should Firefox do with this file". Just like opening a pdf file. This just started to happen. It only happens with Firefox with yahoo. If I use Google, it works fine. If I use IE with Google or Yahoo, it works fine. I tried Malwarebytes,and rebooting. I have the latest version of Firefox. Any ideas?

In my windows folder, there is a sub folder called "ie7 updates". The size is 533mb. When I go to it's properties, it says that it contains 1341 files, in 60 folders. When I click on the folder, it just opens a blank page (no files or folders). I do have Internet Explorer 7, which is hardly ever used. Firefox is the one I use. Can this folder be deleted safely, letting me still use ie7 when I want to? Thanks.

I can go to the main site, but when I click on "login", I get a message that says "The page isn't redirecting properly, Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete". I have Office 2000 SR-1 Pro, and Office standard edition 2003, on my computer. I do use The Microsoft Works word processor. Is that part of an office program? Can I get rid of Office 2000 with out loosing something else?

I was away for a week. When I got home, I turned on the power strip for my computer and got a big spark from the power supply. I know the supply is junk, but could that have hurt the computer?

Does it matter if the fan is on the end of the case or on the bottom? The one I'm replacing is on the end, and a lot of the ones I see on line, are on the bottom.
