I don't care how many thumbs down I get. You know where you can put your thumb. Oh and by the way, I am God.

  • Which law did Julian Assange break? (Concerning the leaks of sensitive documents)?

Australian prime minister Julia Gillard has accused Julian Assange (founder of the WikiLeaks website) of engaging in illegal activities in regard to his exposure of classified documents. Can anyone tell me whether he really did break a law? If so, specifically which law? And why is the U.S. Justice Department AND Australia's own attorney general just now (after he has been doing this for several years) trying to figure out WHETHER he has broken the law? And if not, then why is she making an unfounded claim?

  • What's a good prepaid sim card for calls from US to Australia?

I have a Nokia 6288 GSM phone. I'd like to get a prepaid sim card for it with reasonable rates both domestically within the US as well as calls to cell phones in Australia (especially Sydney) and with decent connection quality. Also would like something with text messaging.

  • Is there a way to use workgroups with Windows Firewall turned on?

I've got an old XP machine and a new Vista machine I networked together on my home lan, and they can see each other in the workgroup just fine and use file and print sharing, but only as long as their Windows Firewalls are turned off. I suspect this might be fixed by setting my Windows Firewall exceptions differently, but I'm not sure. Has anyone else had this problem?

  • What's a good prepaid calling card for US to Australia?

I'm using a Sprint one now to call Australia and it charges me 20 cents a minute, which I think is a little steep.

I'd like to use one from any kind of phone here in the US. Cell phone, land line, pay phone, etc.

  • Which cell phone and plan should I get?

My current cell phone is about 7 years old and the battery is shot, and I want to start completely fresh with a new phone and new service.

For the phone itself, I'd like:

a camera with at least 1 megapixel

    GSM technology

    Bluetooth

    Yahoo Mail access

SMS messaging (or whatever's best these days)

At least 3 hrs talk time

Maybe something that can do html browsing

I don't care as much about music capabilities for the phone.

And for the plan I'd like something good for international calls (to Australia from the US).

    What are your thoughts?

  • Favorite places in Seattle?

I've been spending a lot of time in Seattle recently and I've already found a few favorite places and things to see, but I'd like to hear about some more... other people's favorites, especially from locals.

I'm interested in hearing about favorite restaurants, pubs, walks, and sights to see specifically in the city of Seattle. I'm staying in the Queen Anne area, so anything close to that is also a plus.

  • Problem sharing photo albums on 360?

I know this question has been asked a number of times before, but the responses didn't help me. I have gone through the "Share Photos" link on 360 and set three albums to "Public". I have also gone to Yahoo! Photos and set those three albums to "Public" there. And yes, my settings have all been saved. And yet still my "Photos" module does not appear to anyone but me. I even checked from a different id to verify it is not showing up.

I have also noticed that some friends' photo albums that I used to be able to see on 360 disappeared some weeks back, even though they say it should be visible. They were surprised when I told them.

I believe this to be some glitch with 360. For some users and not others. But I don't see other people referring to it as a glitch. Anyone else experiencing this?

  • Why does my blood pressure read higher at the Dr's office?

I have a home blood pressure monitor that I bought last week. It's an Omron, which is supposed to be pretty good I hear.

And yet, at the Dr.'s office I've recently had about 3-4 readings taken that were all significantly higher than what my Omron tells me.

I'm following the instructions closely. I rest for a few minutes, sit with my feet flat on the floor and my left arm resting on an armchair or a table, and I make sure the strap is on my arm properly according to diagrams and instructions.

So why is my blood pressure lower at home? I'm a little reluctant to blame it on faulty equipment, since Omron is a good brand, right?
