I have spreading bald spots in my yard (Western PA.) It started as 2 spots that I noticed and thought might have been caused by my two small dogs in the early spring. However, the spots are expanding and trails can be found linking them - there's now about 7 spots between 5 and 10 inches in diameter. The links between them aren't obvious until you run your finger between them, the trails are 1-2 inches wide and between 6 and 12 inches long. There are a number of holes from some pest with small mounds at some of them. I have found small yellow-red ants and earwigs in and around the spots. Digging up the spots I have found small (tiny) white (aphids?) bugs and very thin (hairlike) white worms. I'm not sure if the ants are nesting or not but they do nest a short distance away under foot long landscaping rocks. I know most of the spots are not from my dogs, but they could have caused a fungal infection? Are the pests (ants, earwigs, worms) doing damage and should I just replant?

When I try to power on my desktop (HP a1730n) it will only stay on long enough to light up the power button, begin to spin the fans, and flash the DVD player light - then, it's off. However, with the chip (Athlon 64 x2 4600+) removed it will power on, keep the lights on, spin the fans, and eject/spin DVDs. Last night I was vacuuming and bumped the video card out of place, it was out for 15 minutes and the screens were black (primary) and orange (secondary, had a lot of orange in the wallpaper?) When I opened the case to reset the video card and tested it, both screens responded normally for the systems check at boot and then went to a black screen with err2err3 in the top left of the main monitor. For whatever reason I vacuumed out the case and pulled the chip to clean the heat sink. Now it can't power on long enough to fully spin the fans. Any suggestions?

What is it supposed to mean when you have no memory of dreams for an extended time? It is common belief that everyone dreams when they sleep. I used to remember many of my dreams, often very vividly. Most times when I woke up I would at least know that I did dream even if I couldn't piece it together. In the past 2 months, I have only had one dream that I was aware of; with a similar pattern over 2-3 years. So, does not dreaming mean anything to interpreters?

If the approach velocity is such that the speed of impact is not significantly affected by the earth's gravity (let's say 100km/s headed in a straight line into the sun) how will the sizes of the craters compare if the twin object strikes the moon under identical conditions? Assume there is negligible mass loss from atmospheric friction. Also assume it's mass is not large enough to annihilate the moon at it's given speed.

Isis and Echo (Italian Greyhounds) both go straight for the squeaker when they get a new toy... so far the AKC brand toys last about a week before they're gone. Dr. Noy's last about the same, maybe a few days longer... does any company make a really durable plush type squeaky toy? I'd pay top dollar for something that would last even a month... Also, they only like the toys with squeakers inside, for some reason they don't like the nylon type which 'are' the squeaker...

Any suggestions?

I was raised lutheran, my father is a minister. I want to accept Jesus into my heart but I have so much trouble doing it. I'm looking for someone who is very knowledgeable in canonical scripture and preferably apochryphal and gnostic scripture as well. I am looking for someone who can teach me and carry intelligent conversations to help resolve and explain some aspects of holy scripture. Being a preacher's sone I missed a lot revolting as a teenager, I also have a very analytical mind which poses it's own problems to faith. Do you know someone, or are you someone with the time, knowledge, and desire to help me? I've read the bible through and I've listened to the bible in mp3 a few times completely. Where else can I find what I am looking for?

My birthday is comming up soon, I have long been depressed. I have no intention of killing myself so please don't waste answer space telling me not to do it ;) I was just wondering... Do you think suicide on your birthday would be better or worse than suicide on other days of the year? If you think it would be more appropriate on another holiday, please specify.
