I have seen beaded garden stakes at nurseries/plant shops and would like to make some of my own. I can't seem to find the bare stakes or the wire skeleton that sticks in the ground. I want to try stringing glass beads in colors and sizes to get variety. Does anyone know the basics?

We are getting three hens come the spring and are collecting ideas for fun names. Suggestions appreciated. So far we have only Hen-rietta and Lay-la. We don't know which breed, but most likely Plymouth Rocks.

Recently adopted a "rescue" Boston Terrier. She is 3 yrs old. Rescue group did not know very much on the background. On the plus side she is very well behaved and knows a few commands. The odd thing is dog does not play. When you roll a ball she just looks at it. Same with other toys. So, after dog gets to know us and feel comfortable, how would you teach her playing? Or maybe I am worried too soon and she isn't relaxed enough for fun?
