What is the problem with putting music on my Samsung Galaxy?
If I just drag and drop files when connected to my PC they go into an App called my files and not music. Seems no way of moving or playing them. Any MP3 downloaded directly into the phone does go into music.

2 AnswersSoftware9 years agoWell 'Middle England' are you still satisfied with the government you inflicted on the rest of us?
Extra thousands are out of work, student fees have tripled, the green belt is about to be destroyed, the NHS is not to be protected, inflation is more than double the proposed figure, pensions and salaries are reduced, bankers still walk away from the damage they caused, the BBC is under threat. This is only after eighteen months. The Tory party at the centre is not even British. It is really nothing but the voice of southern England. In Scotland and Wales it is less popular than public lice and yet they have to suffer a political agenda totally at odds with their own instincts.
14 AnswersGovernment10 years agoDo we need a different sort of capitalism and banking?
Everyone gets blamed for the collapse in the world economy apart from those most clearly at the heart of it. Surely the problem lies with greed and incompetence at the top of these twin towers. Such poor practice in other professions would have people 'struck off'. It wasn't Gordon Brown or dodgy Greek tax payers.
10 AnswersPolitics10 years agoWhy do Cameron and Gideon Osborne seem to be made of off-white putty?
OK I do loathe all Tories, but they don't seem to made of the same stuff as the rest of us. Now what about Gideon's permanent sneer?
6 AnswersCivic Participation10 years agoWhy is my new HP scanner/computer not reading documents as text?
Support document and help options for the product are poor. It seem the scanner should recognise text and use OCR to create a text which I can edit. Doesn't seem to do this. I have managed to get it to open in a word processing package but it is still a TIFF file. The old scanner that I gave away just needed to be told it was text and it got on with it.
5 AnswersScanners1 decade agoHow can this government dare talk of "Benefit cheats"?
While it has friends like Sir Phillip Green who owes the Exchequer £300 million, and depends on stolen cash from the likes of Lord Ashcroft - another thug somehow on the outside of our prison system - it has little right to use such offensive language. Many people on benefits have no choice but to depend on the state to support them. I prefer to supporting such people rather than fund the lifestyle of $hites such as Ashbourn and Green

With Tiger in the UK and Wayne being unable to play they might find they have a lot in common when it comes to entertaining themselves.
4 AnswersEnglish Football1 decade agoWhy does a car start when cold, but not when warm?
An old citroen AX which runs well enough for most purposes has now started to refuse to restart if recently used - ie when warm. The starting motor hammers away, but the engine doesn't fire. After leaving for long enough to cool it starts easily.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhy does this site attract so many fascists, racists, Tories and other right-wing trash?
Can the UK really have descended to the appalling Nazi state that some of the people who post and answer questions here would suggest?
27 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDo I have to ask a question? Congratulations America from European Friends.?
You have been greatly criticised for years, and not without reason. In electing Obama you have taken your place, once more, among the worlds civilised nations. Welcome back. (Why does this spell check keep offering me American spellings, however?
7 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy would anyone able to remember the 80s and 90s trust a Tory?
They inflicted huge damage upon both the Health Service and the Education system. The economy was in a far worse state than now. Thatcher congratulated the S African Government on holding Mandela in jail and called him a terrorist. Gays were treated as second class citizens. The miners were treated as if they were enemies of the state. There was no minimum wage. Unemployment was through the roof and people lost their houses because inflation was so high that they could no longer pay their mortgages.
Doubt that they have improved.

3 AnswersDogs1 decade agoCan you rank the value of these accidental discoveries?
1. Penicilin was an accidental discovery made by Fleming and the health off the World has benefitted.
2. Saccharin was discovered by accident as an unexpected result in organic chemistry research. Those with a sweet tooth can keep off sugar.
3. Dynamite was discovered accidently by Nobel when he found that the unstable explosive nitroglycerin became stabe when absorbed in the mineral keiselghur. Quarrying and road building have greatly benefitted.
4. Columbus was looking for India when he found America. We have him to thank for Paris Hilton, George Bush and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

3 AnswersOther - France1 decade agoThe muzzle velocity of a bullet is 1000m per sec. If fired skywards what danger does it represent?
Conventional Newtonian calculations show that it will go up about 1000 metres before the velocity becomes zero and it starts to fall and that the time, before reaching the ground again, is around 3 secs. Such calculations ignore air resistance.
I have been in Greece when enthusiastic football fans have taken to the streets and emptied various firearms into the sky. I assume that air resistance will result in some limit to the missile velocity on return but surely not enough to make the thing safe?

28 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoJesus is simply Apollo updated. We are better off with the original.?
The images of Jesus are so much those of Apollo. Jesus was not necessarily tall and blond, Apollo was. The halo is directly a reference to the association of Apollo and the sun.
The Christians simply lifted and adapted what was already present and tarted it up (like adding 'eternal life').
The religion of the the Olympians is so much more appealing than the species specific Christian nonsense. Come on you Pagans!
