  • How do you change privacy settings for xbox live?

I've googled and googled this but can't get a satisfactory answer. Apparently I have a different version of Xbox 360 than anyone else on the web! Everything I've found so far tells me to go to profile and select privacy settings but on my profile that is not an option. I know my xbox 360 "upgraded" a few months back and the look was different after that. Does anyone know where you go on the "upgraded" version, to change privacy settings for xbox live?

  • I'm wondering how chickens do in the severe summer & winter temps of Wichita KS?

I know people here must keep chickens but when I've kept them in the past it was in milder climates. I'm concerned they will either freeze in winter or overheat in summer (or both). I'm just looking for the experience of others here?

  • Petz I and Petz II?

My daughter said she wants Petz I and Petz II for Christmas. She said she saw a TV commercial for them. Problem is, when I try to search online stores, I see Catz, Dogz, Hamzterz and Horsez but none that is just Petz! Can someone help me understand what I'm missing?

  • Child Sponsorship - which organization is best?

I'd like to sponsor a child but had a previous experience where they continually sent mail asking for more money. I want to find an organization where as high a % of the money I send as possible goes directly to the child - not to mailings looking for $25 for an Easter basket and $50 for National Day celebrations and so on.

  • Looking for series of horse books I read when I was a child?

About 30 years ago, as a horse-mad child, I read a series of books, probably by the same author. Several featured an English brother/sister who moved to TX and then back to England. Another was about a girl who desperately wanted a horse but her family couldn't afford one. She ended up adopting an unwanted horse destined for slaughter. I'd love to find some of these books again but can't remember titles or authors which is making it hard to search. I'm hoping someone else read the same books?

  • Concerns about neighbor's dog?

I have two large breed dogs and they are loved members of our family, living inside except when we take them for walks each evening or go out in the backyard with them to potty. My neighbor has a boxer mix, 6-7 months old and she is the sweetest dog. It makes me sad that they never do anything with her. She is in the backyard all the time except when she's inside in her crate. No companions, no games, no walks. This morning I lay in bed and listened to her barking and wondered what I should do. She is not mistreated in that she is fed and has fresh water. And I know hundreds of dogs live this kind of "existence". But she is neglected and is not given what I consider are the basics - love, companionship, mental stimulation, regular exercise. If she were beaten, starved or tethered I'd have no hesitation to report but under the circumstances, I'm not sure what, if anything, I can do. Ideas?

  • Dog needing reassurance?

I adopted a 5-year-old mixed breed from the humane society last week. The first few days, she wouldn't go out in the yard without me & I would have to walk around the backyard with her for 15 mins or more before she would leave my side long enough to potty. Even then I was concerned as she would only squat for about 5 secs, even though it had been many hours since she last went. Several times I took her out & she wouldn't potty at all, meaning that at one point she went almost 20 hours with no potty. I was concerned at how uncomfortable she must be! Last night she showed less concern about leaving my side and pottied quickly & this morning she actually pottied seconds after we went outside & stayed in the squat position for about 30 seconds - a big improvement on the first few days. However I still need to go outside with her as she seems very concerned about being alone. My question is, why do you suppose she is so concerned about being left alone outside?

  • If you have no credit because you always pay cash, what's the best way to establish credit?

I've heard people say you should get a credit card and only pay the minimum for a few months to carry a balance that is reported. Is that true?
