In Australia we use Golden Syrup in cooking. What is an equivalent product in the US?

I wasn't sure if Corn Syrup is similar?

Yes, corn syrup is equivalent. Karo is one brand, and they have a light (clear) and a dark (brown) version. Your "golden" is probably a mix of the two, w/ a slight brown tint, huh?

probably Karo syrup. it is commonly used in cooking.

in different regions of the US, different kinds of syrp exist, because of locally produced sources. maple syrup in new england, molasses(among other products) made from sugar cane in the southeast. many others.
