  • 2007 Cobalt won't start?

I recently got a flat, got it repaired and changed it all out. When I was putting the spare tire back in the trunk, however, I hit a cord that went to the battery which is in the trunk of the car(interesting design). Anyhow, I didn't think much of it and went back, closed my sunroof and noted the very strained sound it made. I then started the car because I was afraid it might be getting low on battery since I'd had it on but not started the entire time I was changing the tire. It started after a little struggling and I was all happy. A few minutes later when I tried to start it again, however, it displayed the check engine light and the theft deterrent light, the latter of which is supposed tobe disarmed by starting the car. Not only that but the check system charge light is also displayed, it's possible my car may only need a jump but seeing as all things electrical are still working in fine condition, I'm wondering if anyone's had a similar experience or knows what to do?

  • How long is it okay for a car to sit on a spare tire?

I got a flat tire, it's very very cold, and most of the auto stores are already closed. My parents will be here early Saturday and I'm thinking it would alright to let them deal with it. Just wondering if my car, sitting in the parking lot, would be alright to sit on that spare tire until then.

  • What are some good caves in southwest Missouri?

We're not looking for toured caves. No guides, no lighting on the inside or any of that. It would also be better if we didn't have to descend into the cave to get in. We just want to explore some caves.

  • Installed Linux, now Vista won't boot.?

Yes, my friend, who is supposed to be better with computers than I am, installed Kunbuntu 6.06 (I believe). Now when using grub to attempt to boot Vista, it only gets as far as the screen with the loading bar, which it will sit on endlessly, the bar always moving. I have absolutely no preference for Linux(even less so now that it has killed Vista) so if a solution involves me getting rid of it, all the better. It's Vista Home Premium, but I can't boot it, and I'd really like to be able to. So any help would be appreciated.

  • Question on Light and Gravity.?

Based on my understanding of both light and gravity, then I have developed two theories, which are mutually exclusive, but should one be proven wrong then the other should, in theory, be proven right.

It is widely accepted in modern times that nothing can travel faster than light, and that light itself cannot be sped up or slowed, unless it travels through a different medium. With this in mind, I began to think about the bending of light as it passes a planet. This can only happen one of two ways. Either gravity pulls on it, or gravity refracts it. If gravity pulls on it, then in theory when light is approaching a black hole straight on it should at some point begin to speed up, therefore proving Einstein wrong and me right.

If it is refracted by gravity instead, this would lead to the assumption that gravity is material, and is a medium through which light travels. As light passes into thicker parts of the medium I.E. around planets, it would then refract.

  • If I decide to run for President?

In 2028 as an independent and I spent all my spare time gathering supporters on the internet on sites like this and Myspace and Youtube, and gave speeches as much as a could, what would my chances of actually gaining enough support be? I would be 39 by that time, 18 now, I am going to college to major in Institutions and Policy (a mix of history, poli sci, and some other stuff) and then on to law school somewhere. I would be a middle of the road candidate, because I say it's been too long since we've had somebody who actually has the interests of America, and not their party, at heart.
