I have an HP media center PC that i purchased in January 2007. Factory warranty just expired. So, I shut down computer normally and when I came home 8 hours later it wouldn't turn on. I know the electical outlet is fine & the cord and power button are fine. On the back of PC the green power supply LED is on but all else is dead. Is it likely that the power supply is bad, or is it more likely mother board, cpu or other component?

I feel the presence of God, and in a sense beyond words I believe in God, but in response to most religious people I feel like an atheist. For example, if someone says, "But for the grace of God, there go I", I think, why would God's grace be for me, but not the poor fellow that I'm looking at?

Anyway, I feel most comfortable with the subject when God is not used for someones personal advantage.

Don't they notice all the complaints about this? I keep harping on this subject because I'm hoping Yahoo will notice how it is affecting the users' experience on this site and will change their policy, so that they only allow audio that doesn't automatically play (you have to press 'play' to hear it) or they disallow that kind of audio all together. Anyway, I'm getting tired of my own complaints on this, but I feel a duty to make users' voices heard, so that they have some sort of feedback.

Specifically, I'm thinking of a scientific framework people tend to be in when thinking philosophically. It seems to me like when people ask about the nature of the universe, so often the way of thinking is cosmological - and metaphysical or ontological ways of thinking are dismissed as non sensical, as if physical science is superior to any other way of looking at existence in a philosophical context.

I'm just curious if anyone else senses something like this or if you have any other observations.

I'm trying to answer a question and this freakin ad with sound comes on with the guy and woman talking. Geez, is there a way to turn that sound off for good?

I went to look at the answers to a question that I recently answered and I could not view it. This woman posted a question asking if her daughter should get a record deal and had a link to her singing performance. I answered honestly that I don't think she's good enough yet. I guess blocking users can be used in this trivial fashion that if you disagree with someone you can show your dislike by blocking them.

Now that AT&T Yahoo dsl service that I pay for is putting advertising all over the web mail that I use and I'm receiving more spam than ever in my inbox I wonder what this company is really trying to do and if I should look to another ISP. Frankly, I wish they would just charge more money for service instead of polluting their service with ads & spam. I hope customers will give feedback to AT&T so they know that to many of us their new policy of putting advertising on web mail is unacceptable.

I just got an AT&T member services update email that states "Additionally, within the next few weeks you will begin seeing graphical advertisements in your AT&T Yahoo! Mail service. These advertisements will be integrated into the AT&T Yahoo! Mail experience, and we hope you will find the advertisements useful. Advertising such as this allows us to continue delivering new and innovative elements to our service and helps us keep prices competitive, while we continue to provide the high level of service that you have come to know and trust".

Things are getting worse, just like when the messenger got advertising on it. I'm losing respect for Yahoo and AT&T because I don't want advertising on my personal services. I hope they will weigh this in their future decisions. I think I'll start using outlook instead of web mail.

I just got a violation for answering a question where the person asked how late is too late to call someone and then said she was thinking of calling this person. I answered that she should 'do it'. I got a violation and a person who said to 'call', which essentially meant the same as what I said didn't get a violation. Who exactly decides what is a violation? Do they actually look into things or do they just quickly decide?

My webmail was showing that I have an unopened email in my inbox, but I could not see it. I have about 250 emails in my inbox so I kept going to next page and at the very last page at the bottom I found this unsolicited email dated November 28, 1903, which I marked as spam. I'm thinking I will have to clean out my inbox more often if this becomes a common occurance.
