  • Dog scratching around neck bad?

I have a 5 month old lab that has started scratching around his neck to the point of losing his fur and making it raw and bleeding in a couple small spots. At first I thought it was his collar so I took it off, but it's getting worse instead of better. Also today I've heard him cough lightly a few times. I'm taking him to the vet ASAP (going in the hilospital for a few days so it's keeping me from taking him right away) any tips on what to treat it with in the mean time or what it could be? I have tried coconut oil from stuff I read online. Does anyone know if it really works and is worth continuing?

  • can a salt water aquarium be turned into a fresh water aquarium?

I know NOTHING about salt water aquariums. We are looking at a good deal on a 150 gallon predrilled aquarium that has been used for salt water. I only want to deal with fresh water since that's all I know. Can the aquarium be used for fresh water now?

  • Can you give a hamster a bath?

While I was in town getting some treatment for my fish my husband decided to let my 3 year old son play with my hamster, Harry. He knows to be very gentle with my hamster but I NEVER let him have him unless I can watch him the entire time. Anyways, my husband let him have Harry and when I get home I find Harry in his cage COVERED in lotion. At first I thought my son dumped water on him until I picked Harry up and smelled the lotion on him. Harry is a long haired Syrian hamster and I was wandering if anyone knows if it's safe to give a hamster a bath. I've had many hamsters in my life but have never had any reason to need to give them a bath so I don't know if it's safe. What should I do?

  • Guppy question?

I'm about to move five hours away and I have some guppy fry I would like to take with me. Someone told me that guppies can live in a bowl like a gold fish but I haven't heard that before. Does anyone know if they could be fine in a big jar for five hours? I have an aquarium already set up at the other location ready for them.

  • Airline carry on luggage question:?

This is a dumb question but since I don't travel hardly ever, I'm not familiar with the carry on luggage rules but I do know they are getting pretting strict. I have a small plastor statue I need to bring as a gift since I don't trust the mail systems to deliver in one piece (they've already busted one to pieces). If it is small enough in box and all to fit in a carry on size bag does anyone know if I will be able to carry it on or be forced to check it? I've tried looking at guidlines but nothings really helpful since there's too much to list on what isn't allowed. Its just a statue of a woman dancing with her hand up in the air and pointer finger poiting so I would be afraid of it being broke if I had to check it.

  • Should I return the bootleg DVD to the seller?

I ended up getting a bootleg Disney DVD from what appeared to be a very good seller. It appears after turning him in that ebay has closed all his auctions because they were all bootleg. I have asked ebay and paypal what I should do now and neither one will give an answer, other then the automated ones that have nothing to do with my question. My question is, even though the guy has a return policy do I actually send him the DVD back and lose all proof of it being bootleg? I doubt he will give me a refund. I can't get paypal to reply and I only have one more day to return the DVD within the return policy of only three days and the seller will not reply so I really don't believe he will give me a refund.

  • ebay question?

When people end up getting bootleg DVD's on ebay are they just supposed to return them to the seller for a refund just so the seller can list the movie again and sell it again? Or is there something else you are supposed to do? I looked on HELP and it only said its against rules to sell bootlegs but doesn't say what action to take if you get one, or at least I can't find it if it does. The guy says he gives refunds if returned in three days but that doesn't keep him from relisting bootleg movies. I have already seen that he does since another one like I got is listed again. I also noticed that all of his possitive feedback wasn't actually possitive, people were leaving negative remarks about bootleg copies in possitive marked feedback so the seller would give them possitive feedback in return. So anyone know what to do?

  • Miniature craft supplies?

I am searching for tiny tiny plastic figurines, like animals or any kind of objects, for kids to make their own decorations for doll houses. I can't seem to find anything as tiny as they need, most of their ideas need the figurines to be 1/2" or under. Do they even make figurines that small to sell? If they do can you tell me where? I never imagined this being so difficult when the girls said they wanted to make the dollhouse and everything theirselves.

  • Transmission Problem?

I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand AM GT and all of a sudden this morning it starts acting up. It would hardly go past 65, and then on the way home it would't go past 40. The engine was reving up but it would not speed up. I don't really know anything about cars but I'm thinking transmission maybe? If anyone has an idea from reading this of what it could be any info would really help. If it seems to you like the transmission is the problem, do you think it maybe fixable or more then likely need replaced? Also if you have a rough idea of about how much it could possibly cost would be nice. I'm not driving it again til I take it in to get looked at, hopefully soon. I have never had to take care of this kind of thing before so I have no clue what to expect, Im thinking expensive. I'm clueless and would like to have at least a small idea so I won't feel like a complete idiot when I take it in.
