Freq, who you might see sometimes is my husband IN REAL LIFE, so if he's looking for me, don't be overly concerned that someone is stalking me. I am an atheistic, agnostic, neo-pagan, animist witch. I'm often too atheistic for pagans and too pagan for atheists. Oh well. I was on here for about a year in the very beginning, then I took a long break. I come back on occasion. Everyone who hangs out in R&S on a regular basis should read "50 Reasons People Give for Believing in a God" by Guy P. Harrison. Seriously.
Is the GRE really only offered once every four months?
I'm looking it up on the ets website. It looks like I'm too late to register for the October one, and the one after that isn't till February. I thought it was offered every month. What's going on?
And I did cross-post this in University + category, since it seems to fit into both categories.
1 AnswerStandards & Testing1 decade agoWhat does it mean if someone self-identifies as "queer?"?
I've always heard this used primarily as an insult, but I know some LGBT people are trying to reclaim it. What might it mean if someone considers themself queer?

7 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoWhat do you think of this cult evaluation form?
Do you think it would provide an accurate assessment of a group that may be a cult?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat differentiates a Catholic Bible like the NAB from a "normal" Christian Bible like the KJV or NIV?
I'll be reading a version of the NAB for my theology class this fall, and it got me thinking, what makes a Bible Catholic?
And by "normal," I mean a Bible that doesn't have a specific denomination attached.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoEx-Christian atheists, did you explore any other religions before becoming atheist?
I'm always curious about how and why people change faiths, share away.

1 AnswerBooks & Authors1 decade agoR&S non-Christians, what's your highest level of education?
I've heard about the connection between education and atheism, but I'm interested in specifically R&S. I also want to hear from a wide variety of non-Christians, be they atheist, pagan, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, whatever.
So, what is your highest level of education and what's your religion/spiritual belief?
Or if you're still in school, what level of education do you plan on completeing?

But seriously, what do you think?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhere in the Bible does it refer to Lilith?
I have heard that all references to Lilith were removed. Is this true? If so, when did this happen, and who ordered (or was in charge of) it?
Are there any places where such references still exist?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoMy pagan friends, are you familiar with witchschool.com?
A friend of mine asked what I thought of it, but I had never checked it out before today. It doesn't seem too bad, though it seems a little weird that they equate pagan with native.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow important is it to match the number of groomsmen and bridesmaids?
I am going to have four bridesmaids, and I would really like my husband to have the same amount of groomsmen. The problem is, my husband isn't close enough to four people to feel comfortable having them be a part of the ceremony. He doesn't have the option of siblings, and he isn't very close to other relatives. He has grown away from so many of his childhood friends, that we don't even feel comfortable inviting them, much less asking them to be a part of the ceremony.
And I'm not going to budge on having four bridesmaids.
Any advice?
14 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoIs R&S glitching again?
I've answered two questions in the last couple of minutes, and neither of my answers have shown up. Now it won't even let me vote on answers. But it still says I'm signed in. What's the deal?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can I comfort a friend with a dying family member?
My friend just found out her aunt has stomach cancer, and that it is too far gone for the doctors to do anything. She is VERY close to her family, and has already watched her grandmother die of cancer.
I have never been close to my family, and I've never had someone I know die. I don't know how to offer her comfort.
She is technically Catholic, but more because it is traditionally what her family has been rather than any actual belief. I am an animist.
Does anybody have some ideas to make her feel better? Or anything I can do to comfort her?
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoPedestrian collision questions?
I was hit by a car yesterday, and I was given a police report thingy to fill out. I have filled it all out except for the part that asks about my vehicle and auto insurance. I was a pedestrian in the accident. Do I need to fill out information about my vehicle if it wasn't involved? Should I still list my auto insurance?
I live in Minnesota, and MN is a no-fault state. Apparently this means that my insurance company bills her insurance company. Since this is true, should I give our auto insurance?
I'm confused, and there is no number to call on the paperwork to ask questions. Please help.
7 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoWhat are some good, unbiased websites to find info on both presidential candidates and their running mates?
Or, if not unbiased websites (since I know that's practically impossible), at least some websites about all four from both perspectives?

3 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWhat are some of the similarities/differences between pantheism and animism?
I am an animist, but I was reading an article the other day about polytheism, pantheism, and panentheism. Pantheism sounded similar to my beliefs.
How do animism and pantheism compare?

3 AnswersOther - Sports1 decade agoCan you help me out, my doctor says that I have a protein deficiency?
I'm a strict vegetarian, and there's no way getting around that. Also, it's impossible for me to swallow pills, I'm allergic to eggs, and I gag when I eat soy products.
Well, now my friend tells me that semen has a lot of protein in it, and if there's one thing I'm good at that would be swallowing after a little tug play.
What I'm wondering is how many mL of semen do you recommend me "taking" a day in order to beat this deficiency?
