What is the Latin original or source of this St. Augustine quote?
There's a quote that a lot of people attribute to Saint Augustine: "Trust the past to God's mercy, the present to God's love, and the future to God's providence." None of the sources say where it's from, though, and I need to quote the Latin original in a paper. Can anyone tell me what the quote's Latin original is or where it comes from?

2 AnswersQuotations10 years agoWhat's this film whose score was replaced before release?
I was just reading about a movie where the original composer spent a year composing the score, then the preshow audiences didn't like it, so they kicked him out and got a new guy to write a score in a few weeks. It said that the composer released parts of the original score on his website, but he had to take them down. It also said that the (bootleg) score was a classic among collectors of film music. But I forgot the name of the movie, and the names of the composers! Does anyone know what film this might be? I think it was a sci-fi or fantasy film. Thanks!

I've never played it, but I hear you can grapple helicopters and stuff like that.

My library doesn't have one (I think) and I haven't found one on the interblag.
3 AnswersGeography1 decade agoWhere can I find a map of the Chicago tunnels?
In 1899-1906, the Illinois Tunnel Company built a freight subway under Chicago. The subway was shut down in 1959, but it is still used for communications cables. Also, it was the source of the Great Chicago Leak, when a pile driver poked a hole in one of the tunnels and let in the river. But where can I find a modern map of the system? Books--internet--whatever, I just want to know where one is.

They must be not too expensive, but I only would want them for recreational use anyway.

1 AnswerRock and Pop1 decade agoOkay, here's a question--why the heck is there a Bull Fighting section?!?!?!?!?
I can't post this question in it, though, it doesn't show up in the pick-a-section box--is it some sort of ghost? A hack? Huh?
2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoDo you remember this Levenger blank book?
There is a certain blank book that was advertised in Levenger a while ago--a couple of years, perhaps. I remember it was in a vaguely old-fashioned style, leather-bound, very functional-looking. It said that it was the type used by some famous person of old--perhaps some explorer or adventurer of a century or two ago. If anyone remembers this blank book--what it was called--where it can be found--anything at all, please say so; I would really like to get one.
1 AnswerBooks & Authors1 decade agoEleanor of Aquitaine?
Who were the famous ancestors of Eleanor of Aquitaine (if she wasn't the first famous one in the line)? Obvy, she had famous descendants (e.g. sons King Richard the Lionheart and Prince/King John) and not-so-famous descendants (me) but did she have illustrious ancestors?
4 AnswersGenealogy1 decade agoIs there anyone with an extra steam locomotive on their hands?
I don't see how much more specific I can get--I was visiting Philadelphia's Franklin Institute and they have a steam locomotive they got for a dollar, and I was wondering if anyone else had a spare locomotive. P.S. A spare diesel would be OK too...Thanks!
3 AnswersBuying & Selling2 decades agoIs there an S-scale model railroad club in northern Illinois?
I live in the western suburbs of Chicago and am considering going into S-scale (American Flyer scale) model railroading. However, it would be nice if I didn't have to start by diving in and building a layout in my garage--if I could join a club and run trains on their layout, or just have people to talk to and troubleshoot and things. Thanks!
